It doesn’t work when the other team is equally talented. I watched these two teams pre pandemic and it was the most boring game I’ve ever watched. Absolutely no rhythm completely unwatchable. The crowd was chanting “serve it in.”
@@MrEndocytosis If you have an equally talented team and you serve just to make it in, it’s practically a free point. Champlin said in an interview recently that they’re aware about how the fans think of their method, but they don’t care because it works out for them most of the time
@@maxmacc0118 That’s fine, but if they want to think long term, a product like this will never go beyond a niche sport. To paraphrase Paul Sunderland, there’s a lot of points being scored and not a lot of volleyball being played. Men’s volleyball in it’s current form needs to be saved from itself.

UCLA had 11 aces to 15 errors, while Stanford had 3 aces to 14 errors this match… sounds like Speraw’s method is working
