They are really enjoying it. They haven't done much off-roading but have found the limited front diff and 4x works great on slippery boat ramps. It also tows their RV wonderfully. Gas mileage is about on par at 13-14 and 9-10 when towing.
Is it possible to get the passenger plugs without pulling off the Fender or maybe from underneath the truck? Gonna try to help my brother with his truck.
Yes. You could totally do it from up top. If you have long arms it will help. For me it was easier with my back vs leaning over the top of the engine. Even though I did the drivers side from up top.
@@DrivingForwardBuilds ya i just looked at the engine and driver side is easier for sure but I'm gonna try and use an extended ratchet. I think I'll just find like a large blanket to lay on top of the engine. Will let you know once i try but thanks for making the video!
That's a great question. The short answer is 8. But it's confusing because many of the other Gas engines had 16, and I was confused when the truck was dropped off with only 8 plugs.
@@DrivingForwardBuilds thank you for your reply. Have one that I am working on and wasn't sure if there was one under the coil. I wasn't sure if it was like the 6.2 engine with 16 plugs.
@@andrewm5190 lol, I sure hope not. Even the parts guy at Ford said it had 8 when my dad picked up the plugs. I figured they would have sold him more if it had it.
@DrivingForwardBuilds wasn't that bad of a job. Had to remove the fender cover to get to the spark plugs on the passenger side. Other than that it went by pretty smoothly. Thanks for the video, helped give me an idea of what to expect.
Thank you for providing torque specifications. Glad to see someone doing the job right with anti-seize and dielectric grease.
Thanks for watching! Glad to hear I'm not the only one who does it that way!
Long threaded sparkplugs in an aluminum head installed dry with long change intervals sounds like a disaster in the making.
Nice job!.. 👍 we appreciate your talent!
Thank you so much 👍
Very informative, thanks. How are your folks liking the tremor? I'm guessing that gets about 13 mpg when not hauling anything.

@@DrivingForwardBuilds Glad to hear. Thank you for the reply.
Great video, can you please share de OEM part Number for the plugs? Thanks
We used Part #:SP589 (CYFS12YT6)
😊glad it wasn’t that bad!
Yeah. There was all that space for activities in there.
Do you think it's worth pulling the fender well to just replace the plug wires (not the plugs)?
Probably not. The wires are easy enough to install “blind”. You can lay over the top of the motor and feel when the wires click in.

How many total spark plugs does this engine have?
