Grerat reviews Dave as always & thx for sharing your thoughts on this radio. Mine was ordered Sunday from Knights CB and delv yesterday & im so pleased with it,Mine has the toggle switch on rear fitted.
@@justiceforall8574 They had a mixed bag of serial numbers then, as mine is "256"and we fetched it from Knights on Saturday morning (it's handy they are local), most Dealers got a hand full of them and I believe they had not too many more than that delivered last Thursday.🤥
@@m0ogy Great shop Knights I love visiting them when we go to Cleethorpes on day trips,Proper old school shop/retailer & glad to support them with my custom.Ordered the chrome Mic to add to the radio so it looks like I'm back in the 80s hey-day.Showing my age now Dave LOL.
@@justiceforall8574 A day trip to Cleethorpes , sounds very 1930's🤣I have been shopping with Knights ever since the early 1980's. In 1985 myself and a Mate on his Suzuki TS125X got pulled by a Police Opel Senator for two up on L plates, I took great pleasure in showing him my newly acquired full motorcycle license out of my jacket pocket, the disappointed look on his face I remember to this day! he asked what was in my rucksack..it was freshly purchased CB radio gear from Knights from the old shop on the main road through Kirton, around four miles away from that lay-by.😌
Nice to see a new old school radio ,great for those that can’t afford the ridiculous price of an old cobra 148 on eBay,and probably far more reliable.😀👍
The more I hear the RX the more I think I will get one and keep it stock (legal) for in the shack. I will still get a CRT 7900v Turbo for out and about.
I'm not too sure what you are asking?........as all CB band is 11m.....it is still in legal multi-norm CEPT SSB mode as I bought it, it is not opened up with the wideband mod on free band if that's what you mean
@@m0ogy sorry I’m a recent return to cb, I’d heard these were ham band and not on 11m yet but I may be getting more fed up with something else. I’ve subscribed and will check out your other videos, this one popped up on mine to see
@@Freedom-projects It's OK they come as a legal CB radio and with a cut of a white internal wire can operate 25 to 29 (ish) megs , but not technically legal to use by none Hams, not that that stops many.
Does anyone know if it is it possible to programme the new 2023 Superstar 3900 to cover the main SSB section of the 10m band (i.e. 28.305 up to 28.700)?
A great radio and it sounds very nice
I would say one of the best current models, a keeper for me🙂
Best sounding radio on the market for me. Very nice receiver.
I fully agree and if you check my channel, I own just a few 🙂
Thanks for video ....looking forward to more 3900 videos
Some more to follow Paul, it's been a busy week with it
Thanks from Australia

What's your serial number (the last three on the sticker) I believe only 500 were shipped Worldwide, the next lot is the end of April
@@m0ogy S/N 179 Very last one they had in stock Dave

I'm lucky to of got the original Cobra radios when they were fair money, indeed these are a modern alternative
The more I hear the RX the more I think I will get one and keep it stock (legal) for in the shack. I will still get a CRT 7900v Turbo for out and about.
That's why I want it, as stock it is fully legal for CB bands
I'm following these vids and waiting to see how the software update goes
That cobra sounds really nice also.
You can fit all your shopping in that basket lol! Going /p on Sunday. Will be in touch Dave 73s
You mean the Vortex basket?....if so your too.....give me a PM regarding Sunday Mate 025.
@@m0ogy lol yea on the antenna. Will do mate 😉
Seems a canny little set that buddy, strange to see the old school looks with the modern internals but it seems to be working a treat.
Does it have a variable power knob?
Is the microphone 6pin or 4 pin?
Old skool 4 pin on the side like the original, but has Elec and Dynamic in menus
Is this on 11m now?
