A tip, before getting photo taken with the showgirls, ask how much and decide what you want to pay, 20 dollars is enough, no more. I have always felt safe walking within the middle of the strip. I love the atmosphere, its 24 hour happening, i never walk on the strip after midnight due to the homeless with mental issues. Avoid vegas between September and December as it turns into a construction site because of the F1, they remove all the palm trees, its a mess on the strip. The Ole Red is newly built.
These street performers are getting out of hand with their harassment and aggression. I find it best just to ignore them.People should always ask how much these pictures are before they take them. They normally refuse to give an answer. If the answer is too high just walk away.
I was in Vegas 2 years ago and got caught by the scam. After photos were taken on MY PHONE they both said I owed them $50, I said I didn’t have change and they said it $50 for each of them!! There was this huge guy with them that didn’t look friendly at all so I didn’t see any other choice but to pay them. I had only arrived in Vegas 2 hours before. These girls usually get you if they see you coming out of a hotel, Planet Hollywood in my case, and they can spot a tourist a mile off. DO NOT GET YOUR PHOTO TAKEN WITH THEM!!!
last time I was there was my 37th Birthday, four naive Geordies on the strip, car stopped at the lights for a long time, girl winds window down asked us if we were looking for businesss, my pal asked for a kiss, she told us where to go! It's illegal in Vegas so we went for some beers instead.
Folks, best thing to do is just say, "No thank you" Treat it like any other holiday to Marmaris, Amsterdam, Benidorm etc Where tourists go the scammers follow. A sad but true fact of life
Thanks for reminding me to NEVER visit Las Vegas..the whole place is built on getting mugs to part with their hard earned cash whether that be casinos, women, over priced theatre, shows, street scammers… the list goes on
