Good instructional video. I bought a 2006 Golf and installed a 2008 Jetta Radio. Noticed "MP3" imprinted above the CD opening and wondered how I will play MP3 files on this radio other than the CD. Found the Aux port in the glove box, but I may populate my center console with the USB port instead. Thanks !

Vielen Dank, das Video hat mir sehr geholfen 👍 Thanks a lot, this Video was very helpful, greetings from Germany, and merry chrismas and a happy new year 💥
I want a switch there to go into stealth mode. Kinda like how the headlight switch goes to zero and the e brake gets pulled up and turns off the lights. I want a single switch to do that. I also want 2.4A USB ports, besides going out and buying an ANKER dual 2.4A ea. charger. awesome video, thanks.
Nice -- do you know of any USBs that will fit in a VW CC in that same location? I installed an aftermarket head unit, and it has two USB inputs. I want to run a cable behind and up to the open accessory slots.

Hey! Thank you for the instructions already! I just have bought an Golf 6 with the RCD310. So sadly there is no USB port but an AUX-in and I also do not have the Media-in which is sold by Volkswagen. I would love to use the products you showed in this video just to put a USB stick into it and play music. Can you tell me which materials I'm going to need to put this USB port into my car and whether extras are needed to install it and also how to install it to the radio? :) thank you already!!
I also have the RCD 310 and would like the details for adding a USB. I only have the AUX in which is located in the centre armrest. Can you confirm what parts I need for the USB and also instructions for how to fit it, thanks.
hi, brilliant video. Just a quick question before I purchase either the aux or usb or both, will connecting the usb to the radio also give me the option to charge my phone through it or will it be for music playing use only?
ill find out, i have only recently purchased the car and haven't driven yet because i am not 17 till next month. I believe it is the standard stock radio that comes with a VW golf TDI.

hi guys, been looking at these but can't utilize the USB as it is a corner piece. (I have "W" button here.) looking at the pictures I'm wondering can the surround from the aux replace the USB? it looks like the non rounded corner surround is detachable from the actual aux Jack part.
I'm not sure if it was factory or not. It is a customers car. I can give you one RCA for apple and one RCA for memory sticks. And one just for charging. What are you trying to do?
Do you need to do two usb. I only want to do one. And I don’t need one for the aux cord either. I only have four slots in front of my shifter and I have ideas for the other two slots.
I have a 2006 VW EOS and I would like to install this custom AUX port. my two questions are: will this work only my Eos ? and How do I use it? I mean if I turn on the radio, how do I select the aux input? I don't want to lose my CD player. Thanks for your answers in advance!

We get these from overseas. They usually do not come with the USB or AUX extension. They are usually made to connect into OEM radios. We are now actually making these with a USB 3.0 cable because we were having some issues with data transfer using regular cables. Also the quality was not consistent. And we have also received some where the plastic looks chalky and cheap. You will not receive those funny looking ones from us. These are just fancy extension cables. Hey, I have a Mk 5 2007 Golf FSI S model with no Aux as standard. I only want an Aux connection and not bothered about USB yet, the stereo is the standard for the car. With this product (enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_MK5_MK6_SHIFTER_AUX.html) am I able to install this onto the stereo or do I need anything extra? Cool video!

Great Video! I just bought a VW Golf 5 from 2004 wich sadly has no USB/AUX port. Because of this, I'd like to ask if this procedure will work for my car as well and if it will work if I simply add an AUX port there. The problem is, the car just got the golf 5 standard radio. Here is a picture of the section: gyazo.com/d661dcc00ff82f384ac9cb7d4f3bcabc And one of the Radio: gyazo.com/24acdfd94245ad3b36963638181de49c (actually just pictures and no virus stuff)

This is just a mountable extension so you could connect the USB to something like this. www.amazon.com/Compact-Hardwire-Adapter-Smartphone-SiriusXM/dp/B00I3P6QQG/ref=as_li_ss_tl?keywords=female+usb+charging+hardwire&qid=1551961626&s=wireless&sr=8-3&linkCode=sl1&tag=enfi07-20&linkId=f80add6b9f3023dbcca8fd9f4cd9e0fa&language=en_US
Okay, so I installed it into the back of the radio in the empty space. And my radio isn’t doing anything. What did I miss? Or is this something that needs to be spliced with the sat radio? I have a 2006 Jetta w/a 6 cd changer.
Ours do not have the factory connector on them. You must have purchased somewhere else. The ones with the factory plug are for cars that already have an aux. They look really good. I'm thinking of getting a Golf Mk5 FSI, and this would save the need to buy an aftermarket stereo....
Thanks !

Vielen Dank, das Video hat mir sehr geholfen 👍
Thanks a lot, this Video was very helpful, greetings from Germany, and merry chrismas and a happy new year 💥
Thank you and same to you.
Not sure what you mean by stealth mode. These are basically custom USB extensions so yes you can do that.
Nice -- do you know of any USBs that will fit in a VW CC in that same location? I installed an aftermarket head unit, and it has two USB inputs. I want to run a cable behind and up to the open accessory slots.
I thought if making it but its in too busy of an area. They would break or get spilled on.
Can you hook these up to the radio so you can use Android auto through em ?
Yes. We actually make a OEM quality cable specifically so they do not have issues with Android Auto.
Hi, these entries are for the jetta 2008 radio
Yes it will also work with the 2008.

We have the parts you need. Shoot us an email and we can set you up.
I also have the RCD 310 and would like the details for adding a USB. I only have the AUX in which is located in the centre armrest. Can you confirm what parts I need for the USB and also instructions for how to fit it, thanks.
USB for iPhone or memory sticks?
USB for memory sticks.
I have a unit that is the same as this without bluetooth for $30 less.

Can I plug the usb port straight in the vw OEM MIB2 through the green conector? Instead of use the usb cable? It’s gonna work including apple Carplay?
The is a USB extension for use with aftermarket radios. This is not for use it the factory MIB radios.
hi, brilliant video. Just a quick question before I purchase either the aux or usb or both, will connecting the usb to the radio also give me the option to charge my phone through it or will it be for music playing use only?
These are basically fancy extension cables. What radio is in your car?
ill find out, i have only recently purchased the car and haven't driven yet because i am not 17 till next month. I believe it is the standard stock radio that comes with a VW golf TDI.

This might be a stupid question but i must ask before buying. Is their a video showing you how to install them to radio its self?
What radio? What car?
I bought this but there aren’t any ports on the back of my radio for the usb. I have the factory RNS-315
These are just mountable extensions. your radio needs to have the proper inputs.
It would be useful video if you show us how to connect it to the original vw radio.
I agree 1000% that is why we also did that video.

hi guys, been looking at these but can't utilize the USB as it is a corner piece. (I have "W" button here.) looking at the pictures I'm wondering can the surround from the aux replace the USB? it looks like the non rounded corner surround is detachable from the actual aux Jack part.
No but I think by doing a little trimming you can fit them in any location. Just like in the video.
Nice TUTO,
I have a question, from where did you get that wood trim ?
It's Vinyl or true wood ? and how much is coast ?
Is RCD 310 can support 2xUSB ?
I'm not sure if it was factory or not. It is a customers car.
I can give you one RCA for apple and one RCA for memory sticks. And one just for charging. What are you trying to do?
Hey can you do the custome aux with a after market radio
Yes the aux and USB are just mountable extensions so they work with aftermarket radios.
Do you need to do two usb. I only want to do one. And I don’t need one for the aux cord either. I only have four slots in front of my shifter and I have ideas for the other two slots.
You can only use one. We sell them all separately.
I have a 2006 VW EOS and I would like to install this custom AUX port. my two questions are: will this work only my Eos ? and How do I use it?
I mean if I turn on the radio, how do I select the aux input? I don't want to lose my CD player. Thanks for your answers in advance!
These are extension cables. you will also need an adapter if you do not have one. This list is assuming you do not have the factory iPod dock.

Sounds like the audio is muted. I would check to make sure a speaker is not shorted to ground. I have never heard of this problem.
What brand are these?....and can we get them off Ebay?....
You will also need an adapter if you do not have one. This list is assuming you do not have the factory iPod dock.

Hey, I have a Mk 5 2007 Golf FSI S model with no Aux as standard. I only want an Aux connection and not bothered about USB yet, the stereo is the standard for the car. Great Video! I just bought a VW Golf 5 from 2004 wich sadly has no USB/AUX port. Because of this, I'd like to ask if this procedure will work for my car as well and if it will work if I simply add an AUX port there. The problem is, the car just got the golf 5 standard radio.

Ho! I have a golf mk 6 with rcd 510, this adapter can connect with the phone or charge only the smatphone with the usb socket? is it compatible with rcd 510?
This is just a mountable extension so you could connect the USB to something like this. www.amazon.com/Compact-Hardwire-Adapter-Smartphone-SiriusXM/dp/B00I3P6QQG/ref=as_li_ss_tl?keywords=female+usb+charging+hardwire&qid=1551961626&s=wireless&sr=8-3&linkCode=sl1&tag=enfi07-20&linkId=f80add6b9f3023dbcca8fd9f4cd9e0fa&language=en_US
Okay, so I installed it into the back of the radio in the empty space. And my radio isn’t doing anything. What did I miss? Or is this something that needs to be spliced with the sat radio?
