The undisputed best video ever put on RUclips. It's hard to comprehend how much knowledge and diverse talent it took to make this happen. Always makes me smile watching this and watching other people have their first impression of it.
You'll want to watch this again and again, for years (just once in a while of course). He did such a good job, and spews it all out so fast, I bet you'll watch it again within a month, or a week, or tomorrow.
Ford Prefect: "Seemed like the place for a really wild party . . . or so I thought. Hung around for a while, got bored, then hitched a lift with a Teaser. Those rich kids always seemed to know a spot for a really great party. What a disappointment!" Arthur Dent: "I'm still waiting for a decent cup of tea!"
What? Harmless! Is that all it’s got to say? Harmless! One word!’ Ford shrugged. ‘Well, there are a hundred billion stars in the Galaxy, and only a limited amount of space in the book’s microprocessors,’ he said, ‘and no one knew much about the Earth, of course.’ ‘Well, for God’s sake I hope you managed to rectify that a bit.’ ‘Oh yes, well I managed to transmit a new entry off to the editor. He had to trim it a bit, but it’s still an improvement.’ ‘And what does it say now?’ asked Arthur. ‘Mostly harmless,

@@richardlandrum1966 I first heard the radio series on the LP whilst it was being played in a SF bookshop in Ipswich when I was at college back in, well, it had to have been 1979. I grabbed a copy of the LP, then learnt it was on radio. Of course, the television series appeared soon after. The books are a great read.
I have a cousin who was a "girly-girl" growing up. I mean you know the type. In this day in age when she was a teenager she would have been a "Swifty." Then over the course of a couple days she started reading Carl Sagan on the recommendation of one of her friends. Now she's an engineer at NASA. I've spent hours with her trying to understand what she does and always can't quite get my head around it, but she doesn't mind because she loves explaining it. We're all curious. I think a key to life is triggering that impulse.
Let's be fair, if he wanted FULL accuracy, the video is at least 50% longer straight up 😅 given he was no scholar of history, and spent a year or so researching even this level of knowledge? Tonga time? That's some...niche knowledge 😂 He largely ignores Africa, skips over entire civilizations, and focuses mainly on "superpower" entities of X time period. China/Göktürks/US/England, whoever is top dog with base knowledge 🤔 I'm always amazed
I believe it took 8 to 9 months to edit that video. Bill Wurtz is awesome and you should look at his recent music videos. Definitely psychedelic and cheerful.

It took him a lot of research, and 11 months of work. No argument with regards to talent.
Every sentence in this video is an entire historybook.
*In the US,
There, fixed it for you! Thank me later :)
@@letheas6175 Most of this isn't in any US history book. Prove me wrong.
@@renx81 That's because in the USA you don't study history. You just study your own propaganda. Am I wrong?
If you blink, you miss anywhere from 400 years to 400 million years. Depends on when in the video you blinked.
Making this video and editing it took him 11 months, or so I read.
I've seen interviews with him, which confirm that.
I've watched this many times and it's always fun

Except Turkey. Turkey makes a brand new Turkey. ‘Gobble Gobble’
The greatest presentation of history I've ever seen.
Just watched that at 4am in the UK ...very good
Canada just stayed out of all the drama and smoked through it 😂. Also you guys should do the history of the universe..it's amazing
"...But at least there's beaver" was the only reference to Canada. Poor Canada!

that. was. FANTASTIC. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Starts off slow but then it becomes mind blowing 🤯 and overwhelming in just under twenty minutes.
why do i always rewrite the same thing when i make an error
"Quarks & stuff"
I love the slight overshoot. The thing inventor AI:s are just coming, much less the 2g.
Great reaction to a classic RUclips video!
"That would take forever"
Close. It took him at least a year.
Interesting to think about what was left out. Like music - only the Roaring Twenties gets a look in.
Check out " How the Universe is way bigger than you think".
When did Columbus discover Japan? What?
It was a joke
It's what he thought it was at first.😂😂😂

I think you'd both like the movie Grandma's Boy. I recommend it if you haven't seen it yet.
About as real and Brad's wigs
Frank Zappa would be proud

Now watch ' how deep do you think the ocean is '

OK....Who is telling all reactors to make faces on their thumbnails? lol
Some of it isn't accurate if you get into the details, but as surface-level conventional views it's amazing.
