Not gonna lie... Final Fantasy 8 was my very first final fantasy game ever and it made a major impact on me as a kid, and this song has always been my #1 favorite in the entire game... Final Fantasy VIII was my first Fantasy and my first RPG. The music of one of the series’ strengths, if not the best thing about these games. Better stories than most movie, complex characters to care about, and THE MUSIC. Ohh the MUSIC 🥺so many amazing memorable and bad ass themes. If you have done “Edgar and Sabin” or “Figaro Castle from Final Fantasy VI, I would love to hear that so much.!
I used to frequently go out of my way to visit fisherman's horizon and just let the background music play with the sound of the birds and the sea while my older brother and I eat sandwich made by our mom on a saturday afternoon. No bills, no responsibilities, no care for tomorrow. I was 14 and now I'm 32 with all the weight of the world on my shoulders. This is definitely my favorite music and the one that hits nostalgia most for me.
Nobuo Uematsu has composed some special music but Fishermans horizon is one of my absalute favourites, its just so emotive and really pulls you in difrent ways like an Erik satie composition
If I could choose any videogame town to live, it would be Fisherman's Horizon. It's just beautiful how you captured the whole soul of that peaceful place in your guitar. I'm listening to this and feeling like I'm 11 years old again.
So many years have passed, i miss my brothers. We used to play this game... and this song reminds me of such a beautiful time in my life. Thanks, amazing version
