Noble Women actually did. We know from historical sources dated to the Middle Ages they spent up to 5 hours with getting ready, especially on their hair. Worst days were the ones they decided to wash it where the whole day could be spent on washing, combing and drying the hair. 😌

Their benefit is that they do mention viking was a job - but then you just get people confused about vikings/how they looked like/"viking tattoos"/who was and wasn't a viking or able to be one and you end up with Thoraboos all over.

Chopping wood all day to keep the house warm, not relying on modern tech, growing your own food etc. Your husband would be gone most of the time sailing. Does it still sound nice to you? also I don't think viking women took 2 hours to get ready each day. They had a lot of work to do.

Oh I think it's fine with the makeup, that is not the problem.. But she is not a Viking (as she says herself), because Viking is not just braided hair (not all Vikings were blonde btw) , a dress and home that looks like the real deal, it's about a lifestyle. A Viking is a warrior, and to be very precise women were not called Vikings, we were called vakyries or shield-maidens (skjoldsmøer) when on the battlefield. But most of us were "just" called kvenna which is the old norse word for woman/wife, in Denmark we say kvinde today. A comparison for understanding what I am trying to explain is that you can't call yourself an artist just because you wear a long floral bohemian dress, feathers in your hair and have a fine collection of paint brushes made from raccoon hair, you actually have to use the brushes and paint with them 😊
