Hey everyone thanks for watching! I'll have part 2 out shortly which consists of 90 compositions for season 5(the first season). Also, after ranking all 90 comps I have slightly changed some of the positions of a few comps which I will go over in the final part with a summary and overview of where everything stands.
Yeah I think in particular this first season has far more diversity too so there is a lot more complexity to it. Also, one big thing to keep in mind is how at the beginning of s5 and the end of s5 people will have gone from 0 gear to having a bit which naturally changes things a lot in a short period of time!
@@apexanalysis8348 In your video you said Unholy dk/Disc gets better as the seasons progress. Any insight as to why that is? I am planning to play that comp with my buddy and want to talk to him about it
They are just by far the most interesting tier lists, nobody else goes this in depth and I appreciate the nuance you’re willing to provide because comps are so different depending on pve gear/skill/season. Helps me decide what comps I should consider as a casual with limited skill and dedication to raiding etc!

Great video Apex. I really enjoyed some of your solo q footage on warmane. I think if you made more videos of you talking over your gameplay would be well received by your subscribers. This is the best tier list I’ve seen so far but there’s no shortage of tier lists on RUclips. I’d like to see more ele/warr/pally solo q from you. But maybe I’m bias because I love solo q. Keep the content coming! 👍
Thanks Dog, yeah I'm torn because I'm trying to take a small break from arenaing before I start playing as much as possible with prepatch/launch. I'll definitely be making comp guides at some point though which should go really in-depth and show a bunch of matchups too

LOL yes, sometimes i really wonder how I can forget such oppressive meta-defining comps. Watch out for Rsham/Rdruid, running decurse and cleanse poison is pretty tough to deal with for most comps

I haven't played Preg in any season but S8, and also I just started playing enh/preg in the last few months also in S8. But even though preg needs lots of crit to constantly use it's globals. It's still apparently really good early, AND enhance in particular is amazing early. But it also has a lot of representation in the ladder on some seasonals so it has to be strong early too.
Me and a friend are curious about hPal/ele. Do you have futher experience by now in what makes this good or if it is actually just a meme? We are in between hPal/warr and hPal/ele right now for mostly bgs and 2v2 (quite new to PvP). Ele seems tempting for bgs. :)
Ele is just amazing all around. That comp is the one I'm just not very sure on, I might be playing it if I'm not doing DK Hpal. We will see. I'd just play both :) (which I might too lmao)
Would you say that getting gladiator rating in s5 as hpal warr still will be possible? Class is very gear dependent and will face a lot of dks I guess haha
It is a late bloomer, but it's still very powerful because at the end of the day a lot of other specs are missing things like warriors rage generation with ARP and crit.
So you would say Unholy is for sure the 2nd best 2v2 partner with Disc priest behind Feral? My buddy is 100% disc main and I don't really care for Feral druid gameplay. So I am trying to pick another melee to pair well with him. We do want to push ranking pretty high in 2s.
I think beta is a horrible indicator. But we will see within the first few weeks things starting to emerge. But gear will still be missing from most people leading to a still infantile meta
Well I farm the dk/hpal when I play warr/hpal. Warrior has far more kill opportunities and dks really just have it during gargoyle typically. I think though in the first season it's closer but in no universe does DK/hpal FARM it can win though and have a close matchup early on
@@SmokeyDaBoss420 You're drunk with stupid. This is season 5 my guy. Unholy DKs rip warriors and have the CC to take care of the pally. 2 interupts, a stun and a silence. You do the math, and thats just the DK's cc.
I hard disagree with it being the most broken comp. I think it is strong and it certainly has strong synergy as well as burst. But if your playing on nagrand or ruins neither class can abuse the Z-axis and an ele shaman has nowhere near the healing to keep them both up especially if facing down against a SP/rogue or Hpal/warrior with their broken sacred cleansing. But it certainly is close to unpealable and their cc is very powerful.
“Ret and preg are interchangeable ” bro what the fuck they’re completely different. Do you think people will even get over 1600 with preg in s1 gear?.. I feel like the stats are so low
They're very similar lol. I don't see how you can say they're completely different, preg has 2 fewer dps abilities but uses more FOL instants, while ret will still have to swap to 1h healing wep + shield all the time and play very defensively just like preg. And yes I do think people will easily get to 1600 if not 2400+ haha(myself included).

Oh for sure. It's amazing but less powerful than later on definitely. But late wrath they are just obscene.

Yes for sure. And it just gets better throughout Wrath. It is a surprisingly strong & fun comp to play.

Ele/Destro is most broken comp on Wawrmane. Its unkillable and unpealable and unhealable.
