Well Mike we're disappointed that you won't be doing the Alaska trip because we were looking forward to meeting up with you and Nina in BC when you came across the border. Definitely can sympathise about the gas prices though! They're even higher here in Canada than the USA so it would've been really costly. Hey Roger, we're disappointed too. I was looking forward to it also, but it just wasn't possible financially. It's not only the gas, everything is more expensive. Food, hotels, parts for the bike, etc. The east coast also has a lot of nice riding, so it should be a great trip. I plan on recording a lot and putting out some great videos. Again, sorry. @@MRMRS2wheeler Mike it keeps your mind sharp, please you both be safe on the trip how much camping are you planing on doing on the trip. Hope the weather holds up. I tried a couple of cooling vests with no luck got my pants wet and never lasted more than 10 min. Best thing is with the jackets you got have one and it pushes the best amount of air you can get. I assume the plan is to get out of Florida as fast as you can and in joy the rest of the trip. That Florida run is murder in a car a night mare on a bike. The turnpike run recommend to take a break at every stop or two and hydrate during the day and run at night as much as you can with gas price should be pretty quite. I did it about q0 time always at night pedal to the medal. Also look into a TPX MC Radar on Ebay will save your bacon.
@@demon817 The ride out of Florida is always the worst part. That is the plan, get out quick and head north to cooler temps. We have hydration on the bike, so we don't stop that often. Mostly just to fuel up and hit the restrooms. Once we get out of Florida, it's a different story. I have always been reluctant to try those vests, but this new micro bead technology is supposed to last longer and has great reviews, so fingers crossed it works. If not, no big loss. They are not very expensive. We try not to ride at night much, it's not very safe. I prefer to get an early start in the morning and finish early. Thanks for the advice. Be safe.
