I hope that you know that Trigger song was made with Soild Work, if you didn't know check the SOILWORK - Rejection Role Trigger and Rejection Role go side by side
Same for me too. I saw the video on Headbangers Ball I believe. Back when MTV still played music haha. Cheers brother! Merry Christmas to you and your family
I used to play Morrowind on Xbox with Trigger playing in the background. I get such a nostalgic feeling every time I hear that song ever since then. Same with Clouds Connected. I saw the video on Headbangers Ball and loved In Flames since that very day. Such a special sound
The atmosphere of this album is so thick that it's borderline a concept album. It's creepy, moody psychological horror. It ushered in the In Flames middle era with style.
For many fans, this album is the turning point in the band's sound, in my specific case, I really like this album and those that followed immediately, such as STYE and Come Clarity
This album got me into melodeath, but my taste for the band's records devoloped backwards, meaning I don't like the albums after this, but all the way back to Lunar Strain. Still I rugularly come back to this because of nostalgia.
I feel like it's kind of objective that this album is where they changed sound. The following albums are peak In Flames, it's where they separated themselves from all the other bands of that era. There's almost nothing that sounds like In Flames did 2002-2011, in a good way.
@@Kings_Crossing I completely agree...I love the style seperation and in both directions for entirely different reasons. The early style for all the reasons you hear all the time, but THANK YOU for pointing out one of the aspects that make 02-11 In Flames so great...the uniqueness of that style is unjustly slept on, people even say they "sold out" but to what? There's no other band they copied that style off of and no band has replicated it since. But the other aspect that makes that era of In Flames special is Anders' (studio) vocals development which got better with every album and peaked with Sounds Of A Playground Fading...I'm an amateur vocalist myself (inspired by In Flames actually) and trained myself over the past 10 years to learn pretty much all the different metal vocal techniques, and Anders' vocal technique on SOAPF is without a doubt and BY FAR the most difficult and most exhausting technique I ever encountered. After a single song I'm f***ing done or the next song could make me pass out...no exaggeration. I can attest this man was pouring his soul out in that studio and I can't imagine anyone performing an entire set with that technique, let alone a tour. I like to describe it as similar to Björn's (from Soilwork) technique but where he perfectly balances between scream and clean voice that no matter which ratio, he gives 100%, while Anders' mixed scream almost always gives 100% scream plus however much clean voice he adds on top of it. And anywhere above 100% is not healthy, but damn does it sound good on a recording. Pretty sure Anders going all out on concerts in 04-06 is what destroyed his voicebox at the time and he hasn't sounded that good live ever since...but those concerts sounded AMAZING
I realized at some point how demanding it must be on the voice singing the vocals to these kinds of songs, which is why Anders' singing can feel disappointing to many people when listening to the live versions. But no one could keep their voice touring trying to sing it the way they're in the studio albums. Some singers can manage to do really great vocals during a live performance, but doing it for several times over a short period of time will destroy their vocal cords, especially for aging artists. So the quality will naturally vary a lot. One band that I like that has some really great live performances is Enter Shikari. Another one (don't judge me now), is Babymetal. Su-metal really delivers amazing live performances consistently, though of course she doesn't growl that very much. 😜 They do at least have one song though where she does a scream that's pretty growly and it's actually pretty good. 👍
I remember when my great friend introduced me to this band. I didn't appreciate it at that time, but now it has been growing on me and I understand her song choices much better now than back then. Shame we met in really unfortunate circumstances. One insane and one lost.
Ye!I survived those days, when KoRn....pardon,In Flames kicked asses (and mine too)! The world was a good one.Cheers buds! Thanks for sharing memories and good times!
i was going to be a dad at 18. found out before graduating. lived with my childs mother in a housing project, downloaded this before release. bought it release day and listened to the fuck out of it. and i still do. what a great album, an important one for me when i felt like i was doomed
This USED to be my favourite album. After years of purposeful abstinence (listening to other bands, learning music theory, changing who I am) I'd say that it is a rollercoaster that oscillates between Good and Awesome. It still holds well after all this time.
Reroute to Remain was the first song I heard from In Flames back in 2005 soon after I bought the classics Jester Race Whoracle Colony and Clayman one of my favourite bands ever.
😂happy af feeling the whole album 1 year before being over hill/40 like 25yrs have between first hearing cloud connected+ jamming every single day for weeks to this album -;- fun shows good music great times@ r.i.p. my sis &brov & living mates
First IF album I bought when it was first released. I've never been so excited for any other album release, until ASOP. Different sound that I was not expecting but it only took minutes to become another Masterpiece to me and one of my ALL-TIME Favorite Albums.
This album is better produced and a bit more poppy and accessible. Clayman has that grimy early sound that I preferred back in the days but honestly the recording quality made it a bit hard to stand the test of time. If there was a rerecording of the older albums... Ha. Ha. Ha.
I still remember how much hate this album got when it was released, because it was considered too much influenced by New Metal, but since the first time i listented to it, I really liked it a lot, Reroute To Remain still sounds modern and catchy without leaving heaviness torn aside.
I remember listening to this album and it was the first ever where I immediatly liked every single song...and then I went to soundtrack to your escape and had the same experiecne...since then I heard every singele album and every single song and I've yet to find an In Flames song I don't like...btw the newest album is also the best ever...these guys are absolute legends edit: and live they are even better :D
I was introduced to this band about 20 years ago. The first In Flames song that I heard was Clayman. I was not a fan. To this day, I just don't care for that song or album. Subterranean's Timeless was what got me listening to them. Trigger and The Chosen Pessimist are what hooked me. These guys are next to Mastodon and Velvet Acid Christ for my all-time favorites.
Why is there two version of "Trigger"? lol 😂 I mean, they're essentially the same, just the initial lyrics are different. "Is it dark or is it bright What's the latest on the screen Please tell me my name I haven't checked it today" and "Have we lost the spark or a guide? What's the latest on the screen? Can't be too late to turn around I need all the help from you"
Trigger is such a great song❤
My favorite as well! A random Merry Christmas from a stranger!
it's really awesome, that clean chorus is so powerful and melodic !!!
Was the first melodeath song I ever heard and I still love it to death!
I hope that you know that Trigger song was made with Soild Work, if you didn't know check the SOILWORK - Rejection Role
Trigger and Rejection Role go side by side
Cloud Connected was the first In Flames song I listened to. It's still one of my favourite songs - such a great album
Same here. 1. that I heard....and feel in love to this day
Same for me too. I saw the video on Headbangers Ball I believe. Back when MTV still played music haha. Cheers brother! Merry Christmas to you and your family
Same here
Best cut on the whole album
I hope everyone that heard it was hooked if not no soul I have brain damage from this bbbbaabban band
Probably one of the best album ever made
I used to play Morrowind on Xbox with Trigger playing in the background. I get such a nostalgic feeling every time I hear that song ever since then. Same with Clouds Connected. I saw the video on Headbangers Ball and loved In Flames since that very day. Such a special sound
Morrowind is such a good game! System is the first song I heard by them and I was hooked ever since.
This album got me into In Flames, great album. Trigger was the first In Flames song I heard.

STYE is awful and still one of their worst records
I feel like it's kind of objective that this album is where they changed sound. The following albums are peak In Flames, it's where they separated themselves from all the other bands of that era. There's almost nothing that sounds like In Flames did 2002-2011, in a good way.

The album that really got me into the band, still a gem!

Such a underrated album
Free fall had to be one of my favourite in flames songs.
Ye!I survived those days, when KoRn....pardon,In Flames kicked asses (and mine too)! The world was a good one.Cheers buds! Thanks for sharing memories and good times!

Underrated album, sounds clearer also on this stream.
Damn, you're on fire with all these album uploads!
Great album, Cloud Connected one of your best songs, great bridge song between the old and this 'new' era for the band back then.
Mantap lagu2nya....👍🏻🤘🏻🔥💥
This USED to be my favourite album. After years of purposeful abstinence (listening to other bands, learning music theory, changing who I am) I'd say that it is a rollercoaster that oscillates between Good and Awesome. It still holds well after all this time.
I loved seeing this live, being old enough to be free but young enough to stand in concert lines for hours w friends 🤟
Reroute to Remain was the first song I heard from In Flames back in 2005 soon after I bought the classics Jester Race Whoracle Colony and Clayman one of my favourite bands ever.
It brings back lots of memories... man

Yes big change from clayman , but we all have to admit this album is pretty fkn badass with almost all kickass songs
This album is better produced and a bit more poppy and accessible. Clayman has that grimy early sound that I preferred back in the days but honestly the recording quality made it a bit hard to stand the test of time.
If there was a rerecording of the older albums... Ha. Ha. Ha.
@@Jombozeus The only album i didn't get into is the newest album. I prefer the early stuff the most, but mid school and new school are amazing also.
I heard cloud connected off some random demo tape and it changed my life forever more.
This band gives me that Children of a Bodom vibe. I love it 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I remember I first raised an eyebrow when it came out, but then listened the shit out of it. Great album.

This and Damage Done by Dark Tranquillity was my gateway into melodic death metal
Their best Album followed by Colony, Whoracle, Clayman.

When you least expect it, cloud connected.
I legit thought it goes "Lichte schmekte, cloud connected" 😂😂😂 I always hear something german in their songs, probably because they growl a lot

Nothing like The Jester Race... 😥😥😥😥😥😥
Destroy the pattern!
Metaphor is a perfect song, even though there's no metal in it.
