I love the direction Soilwork took with The Living Infinite and The Ride Majestic. It's crazy how they pulled another twist with Verkligheten and Övergivenheten and still be crazy good for me. In fact it's hard for me to pic a favorite album out of the 4, while still believing they're the best one albums from them
One of my fav albums. I can still remember listening to it for the first time. When as we speak played, I was blown away with the synth sound mixed with the guitars. So good.
I was 15 and this album single handedly and in the space of the first 20 seconds of listening converted me for life from a metal growling hater to a metal growling lover. When I heard this my knees went weak and my ears felt the same like the first time I ate Nutella in my life. You are legends Soilwork, even if I don't like your last couple of albums, it's OK I also don't like Megadeth's last albums although Rust in peace is the most incredible music ever written and they're my #1 band
2023 and this album is still in my phone and listened to on a regular and definitely one of my all time favorites. Hey soul mates we're facing the end, we're down low no use to pretend. A bitter message from heaven sent. It says we're asleep at the wheel again.. Memorized this entire album in lyric and all instruments..
My very first and forever favorite metal album. This was my gateway drug. It has played in my head and influenced my evolving tastes over and over throughout the years
I saw these guys almost 20 years ago at The Pound in San Francisco. IIRC the last show ever before the place (basically a shack) shut down. It was an incredible metal venue though!
"Follow the Hollow" is the song that started it for me with Soilwork. Someone used it as the BG music for a World of Warcraft video I watched in 2007. _"...including the new bonus track 'Kvicksilver'!"_ "Kvicksilver" was the bonus track for the Japan press by Soundholic that released in April 2002. Its availability was limited, but it's not new.
This is the album that got me into Soilwork, purchased it in early 2003 from a long-music store catering to metal on the North Side of Chicago. I saw them, In Flames, Chimara and As I Lay Dying that summer. What a fucking blast.
It's perfectly, here Soilwork got to put all vital elements together to make higher music a blend of the best biologic organisms comes from modern metal. It's simply wonderful,a fairly representation of the nature portrayed by overlord art that's music. Thanks Soilwork for giving birth this one.
Well this is a pleasant surprise 🤘🏻😌
Just stumbled across this band and I'm definitely on board
SOILWORK FUCK YEAH!!!
COME TO AMERICA
Best Metal Release of 2002.
Great album.
Definitely in their top 5, but The Living Infinite will always be my favorite.
They blew the doors off with that album.

Love how this kind of bands emerged during the popularization of nu metal

I believe devin townsend did the production

The music of my teenage years, you guys will always be one of my favourite bands. Cheers Soilwork!
A classic. This was my intro to Soilwork circa 2002 and I've been listening to them basically daily ever since.

2007 back when WoW was fun.
A Devin Townsend collaboration record!!! This was one of my favorites hands down and having DT on this record just makes it a bonus 😁
Pretty sure Devin only worked with Speed on vocals but still cool.
@@Shawner1000 he produced it too
@@Shawner1000 you might be thinking of Sworn To A Great Divide
@@erakattack yup i am thanks. Devin actually did some vocals on NBC

22 years later. I've yet to hear another album as flawless as this one.
Second place goes to A Predator's Portrait :)

I like the way Henry played the drums. ❤
I own them all, but this is my favorite Soilwork album. Love the new bonus track. 🤘🤘

This album killed, got me into melodic metal.
Have every CD, really love this album. Stabbing the drama is my favourite though.
Agreed. Production on both is top-notch. Some of the best I've ever heard, and this was 20 years ago...
Ew, Stabbing the Drama 🤮
So many sleepless nights working listening to this banger. ❤
