I was really disappointed when this went away. This attraction was one of my main reasons for returning to Universal Florida. My oldest boy got to be the volunteer for the carousel scene from Strangers on a Train. Thanks for posting this. This is back when Universal was all about Ride the Movies.
I visited Universal Studios Florida with my mother back in 1992 and we saw the Alfred Hitchcock attraction, I remember THE BIRDS in 3D. To this day I swear that was still the best 3D show I've ever seen, mind blowing 3D effects. The birds literally flew out of the screen and fluttered around in your face like you could have reached out and touched them if they were really there. Amazing. If I remember correctly, the glasses they used were special 3D glasses that were based on liquid crystal display technology with battery powered lenses that were supposed to flicker faster than what the eye could perceive. I can't explain how they truly worked but it was an awesome show.
As a huge Hitchcock movie fan, this attraction is everything! The set design is amazing, I love the Rear Window apartment. Would have definitely gone on this numerous times.
As a 14 year old boy in the mid-1990s, this attraction was my introduction to Hitchcock! I even got play Frank Fry (a.k.a. Norman Lloyd's character) who falls off Lady Liberty's hand in the SABOTEUR during the audience participation portion at the end. Needless to say, I've been a fan of Hitch since then & it led me down the rabbit hole into his 🎥! I've been looking for a retrospective on this attraction for ages, Rob. Thank you for posting!
I was lucky enough to catch this in 1992 trip and was fun. Of course, a bit rough as this was right after Anthony Perkins had passed away and clear he was already in rough health filming but still a great attraction.
My main problem with this attraction was that I saw this before I was a fan of Hitchcock. This made me a hardcore fan, & now I wish I could appreciate the exhibit afterwards
Universals gone the Disney way 😭 all the classics gone. Kongfrontation, Jaws, Back to the Future, earthquake, twister and this. I’m all for changes but some of these were not for the good
i work at universal and i saw on one of the electrical plans that there was an alfred hitchcock attraction. Never knew til i found the plans!
Thats cool! What did it look like? Still in good shape?

OMG.me too! I went through it a few times as a kid and loved it but was not able to fully appreciate it like I would now!
For some reason I just never went on this attraction at Universal Orlando. Now I get to see what it actually was about.
Thanks Vin! Glad you got to see it finally :)

3:09 - Gee, thanks for the spoiler warning, Norman.
Nice
These Flashbacks are great. Do you remember what movie/TV set was in front of the Psycho house?🐸
That was the Bates Motel. The entire set was left over from the film sequel Psycho IV.
The best of Hitchcock 3D film portion is missing!
I know. They were super strict with filming that part :(
@@RobFuz Even though there are several other recordings of it on RUclips.
All I remember was I wasn’t allowed. I’m glad they are out there!
@@RobFuz So I take it you remember-The Birds near the end?
It rocked
crazy to think Hitchcock got replaced by Dreamworks twice*
Universal!! Stop getting rid of your classic attractions!!! R.I.P. Kong, Jaws, E.T., Alfred Hitchcock attractions 😞
I agree
