- CUSTOM HE MAN HEAD! Airbrush Painting the 3D Printed He-Man!
Welcome back to the True Legacy Design RUclips channel, where we delve deep into the world of toy nostalgia and craftsmanship. In this episode we meet True Legacy Design artist and painter Zach Longhenry as he walks us through the intricate process of preparing, sanding, and airbrush painting the giant 3D printed He-Man figure from Masters of the Universe.
True Legacy Design aims to bring back the magic by creating 3D sculptures in the form of a centerpiece or a single statue that gives incredible respect to the original intention of the artist. Watch the incredible care and detail that Zach puts into airbrush painting the custom He-Man figure.
The process of painting the 3D printed He-Man figure begins with delicately sanding the He-Man sculpt ensuring not to lose any of the details of the custom MOTU action figure. Then Zach matches the paint to to original He-Man figure to stay true to the original art. Finally it's a delicate but relaxing process as Zach airbrushes the head sculpt of He-Man. True craftsmanship on display at the True Legacy Design workshop.
The ultimate goal of True Legacy Design is to craft awe-inspiring statues of famous toy lines that ignite a sense of nostalgia in every collector's heart. While they set their sights on that grand mission, their current focus is on creating a Masters of the Universe display for the VIP section of Retro-Toy Convention this November. @@TrueLegacyDesign If I heard you correct that your plan is to install motors at some point so the figures move? Also, aside from here on RUclips how would one see this amazing exhibit? Are you considering traveling with it to show at different cons and expos?
Robotics is the plan for the future. Come see us at Retro Toy Con in Greenville, SC in November!
Came from toy federation. I'm really looking forward to the finished products!
Thanks for watching! Appreciate you checking us out from Toy Fed!
They recieved a cease and desist letter from Mattel. Not going to happen
This is so much fun to watch! Great work, guys!
Thank you! Really appreciate you watching
Great Work Zach! You are very talented and i cannot wait to see what you do w/ the rest of this project . I Can't Wait to see your Slime Pit if you paint it.
Kudos to the whole team. The approach you're taking, including the way the videos are filmed, is a real credit to you.
Thank you so much. Really appreciate you watching!
Such a detailed and intricate process. It's hitting my ASMR watching Zach work
Our goal is to show as much respect to the original art as possible which is why we're so detail oriented through out this process
@@TrueLegacyDesign it shows! So cool watching this process
@@MichaelShepherdJordan Thank you! Hope you can come see it at Retro Toy Con in November

Loving that Archer, aka. Frank Langella, aka. Skeletor, is watching over this 😂
Oh wow can't wait to see the finished product! Would love to see faker or prince Adam now you have the mould!
Hopefully you can make it to Retro Toy Con and see them in person!
Who wants to see the finished product?
Pixel Dan brought me here! I can't wait to see the rest of your work as ALL of it looks amazing!
And I 100% agree with you both on the He Man head! The original sculpt simply hasn't been captured since!
Good journey,
Tom.
Great video. I really like the attention to detail and the step by step explanation. I would have preferred to see He-Man's head complete, with eyes and teeth, but I imagine it won't take too long to see the entire finished figure. Great work so far.
It’s a multi-step process and we only had the film crew one day haha. Hopefully you can make it to Retro Toy Con to see all the finished pieces
@@TrueLegacyDesign I think the only way I can see your project is through your videos because I am Italian from Rome and it would be practically impossible to see your work in person, although it would be really interesting to see the figures live.
Then we are very glad you’re watching on our channel! Truly appreciate it
Very nice work. How did you clean up the lines between the hair and the skin? Brush?
