Im gonna talk about how these changes effect Competitive Gamemode. - T8 Powercreeps DESTROY SH and CW. its hard to find non-premium tanks in both of these competitive battles. *Defender *Skorpion *M41 GF *Patriot *Chrysler (probs will be) Since these vehicles aka players who spend real-life money in the game are so dominant in SH s and CW s (competitive gamemodes) as well as Campaigns (which consists of CWs) players who dont spend money on them are in a complete drawback, and often a better clan loses against a worse clan just because of powercreeps. -T10 SH s / Advances are impossible to play *Buff to superheavies *Nerf to arty dmg *Time limit reduction to 10 minutes. Buff to superheavy armor and guns make them tricky to pen even with gold, where they can eat the shells with their massive HP pool and usually have better gun than you, Arty nerf makes arty basicly ineffective to superheavies, a CGC shot deals 400 dmg-550 dmg, a maus can basicly sit in the open for artillery in some defence strategies without caring to arty. And the change of time 15.00 - 10.00 makes it harder to melt down enemy super heavy forces "which obviously grew since last patches, - More HP , More armor (less penning shots=no dmg) , Less time. Is not a good combination. This basicly defines T10 SH and sometimes CWs as well as even WG League.. _Altay_The_Kebabos_ FOR-C Ps: pls leave a like so that it will be noticed and some certain people in WG will know about stuff
Hell, you didn't even bring up the Tier 6 SH. Look at the Cromwell B versus the Cromwell. The T-34-85M versus the T-34-85. I have all 4 of those tanks in my garage currently, but when I do Tier 6 SH or CW, take a wild guess which 2 I am using? Yep. Cromwell B and T-34-85M. It USED to be that Premium tanks were worse versions of their tech-tree counterparts but if you played hard enough, you could use their extra Credits and XP to make some money and train some crews at the expense of a bit of a struggle in gameplay. Nowadays though, the Premiums are BETTER than their tech-tree counterparts AND get the added Credits and XP to boot! I can't compete in SH and CW in my T-34-85 and Cromwell - the Cromwell B and T-34-85M are that much better that I bought them just to stay competitive, and the massive disparity between both my WN8 and average damage per game/win rate between the Premiums and their tech-tree twins just goes to show the ridiculous capabilities of these premium tanks. o7
+Griffin Bennett The only problem with that really is the power creep pushing people to buy them. Now it pushes people to use more and more gold ammo, but the exact economic balance of the in game credits arent really a pay to win, but a pay to play in essence.
@MarkTheFox Y E S, but also on the balance in wot blitz, the problem of world of tanks blitz is that, one the heavy tanks of all tiers although are best at fighting each other and other tiers, they are too much for the lights and mediums to fight with two medium tanks are being outmatched by light tanks so much they seemed almost irrelevant three the light tanks have too much hp while having too much dpm and they are doing way better in battle than mediums and light tanks are not even doing what they are supposed to do and finally tank destroyers are underrated and much like light tanks they are unable to do what they are supposed to do The cause of all these unbalances are the maps, the wot blitz maps are copies of PC but its more like dumping your trash from a office trash can on the ground and draw lines around them which means there are too many obstacles on the map, and all of the blitz are made for brawls which means wargaming have to buff some tanks so they much above tiers and other tank types how I think wargaming should fix all of this is actually rebalancing ALL tiers and ALL types of tanks and also start making fucking maps that would benefit some tank types and not for others, and make all tank types to do WHAT THEY ARE HISTORICALLY BUILT FOR, and also make ways people can grind the tech tree a lot faster, make all tiers 6 to 10 premium tanks unavailable unless they grind a tech tree tank of that tier (e.g grinded to tier 7, tier 6 and 7 premium tanks available for purchase) but make tier 9 and 10 premiums unavailable for purchase and ONLY rewarded from something through effort, finally remove premium tanks from people's accounts that have lots of battles in them after making the last solutions I presented and FORCE them to grind back to that specific tier that premium tanks they bought is on just to give it back so to make them also progress the tech tree just realized how long I wrote this, should make this into a video or something, lol

Was anyone else caught off guard when QB said "FUCK" uncensored in the video? hahaha By thew way QB, very well said in the video, and screw the haters man. There's always gonna be haters and critics. You do a fantastic job and I agree with everything you've said in this video. You are noticeably stressed out like crazy in this video man. Don't fret. Things will cool off and get better, you've got people behind you. The main problem I have with the game currently is just the ridiculous power creep premiums and the route that wargaming is taking with the need for premium ammo use. Maus and Type 5 are clearly OP after their buff. What WG NEED to do to increase the value of armor on heavies or other heavily armored vehicles is to get rid of premium rounds altogether, buff the pen of standard ammunition and move more towards a cosmetic style of microtransaction system. I have no doubts that they make way more than enough money to continue as a company just from premium time purchases alone. So the justification of them needing to sell prem ammo and consumables to succeed is utter BS in my opinion. Also, NEW MAPS PLZ WG. The only thing in the game they have changed in the last year that I like is some of the MM changes, although I still think they need to change their algorithm a bit...
I can deal with the Type 5, the Maus is excessive but the tier 8 uber premiums are cancer. Just wait for the VK168 that could potentially have a 750 alpha gun with decent dpm at tier 8 with the same armor as the tier 9 maus.
You can deal with it, but they are still OP relativistically. It's quite annoying when I have to load premium ammo in my T110E3 to pen a Maus or Type 5 frontally. Yea the Maus LFP is no prob as long as it isn't angled super steep but it isn't that hard to hide the LFP of a Maus, and the Type 5 doesn't have any frontal weak spots except the cupola, which is still strong AF. The problem with the OP premiums is that since WG released the tanks and sold them, they can't nerf them or someone will just take legal actions against them, so RIP tier 8.

I'm an NA player of dubious skill. I follow several EU and NA content providers. It is QB's opinion that I value most when he does a review - the detailed analysis of the pros AND cons, suggested play style and how to counter the vehicle are spot on and very useful...even to a scrub like me.
I agree. In begining i didn't know that u can reset skill and than train crew to another tank and in that way don't lose base 100% crew level. With every tank i needed to train crew on 100%. I didnt' pay 1 euro in the game in this 5 years, and im not a bad player, a 53% win, mostly by learning game from QB :) Thx QB ;)

New player retention. There is way too much of a gulf between a player that has grinded to their first tier 5, and a 5 skill t67 driver. Tier 5 was the point of the game where sh!+ got real for me, and I realized to be competitive I would have to put real money into it. Some kind of free tier 5 premium for the milestone (not a turd) would give players who haven't spent any money a reason to stay. Also, maybe offering an incentive to watch how to vids from you or other cc's
I ever dreamed with that *-*, I've been playing for around 5 years and my only free tank for a milestone was the m3 light after completing the turorial(of course I have a ton of tier 3 tanks because of gifts tanks from WG) but they never put a tier 5 as a milestone, or even for reaching your first tier 10 or your second! they should definetly put a reward system to encourage grinding.
It was when I reached tier 6 that I realised that without paying I wont be competitive, about 2 weeks later they added the scorpion g. since then I only play the kv 2

As a 3 year player, I found WOT growing on me, the game, the tactics, the new maps, everything. Now, we dont have new maps, there are no frontal weakspots without the "2" key and F2P players are leaving. I have a prem account and am on the edge of leaving this game that has brought so many wonderful and funny moments into my life. Why? Cause of the sheer greed of WG and their stubbornness at listening to their fan base. This game isnt fun to play anymore unless you like shooting heat every single game. The skill has been nerfed and the P2W style has been buffed. This is quickly killing the game (if not killed already) RIP WOT. We miss you and hate, I mean, strongly hate the WG staff who has taken a game that we all love and cherish, and run in into the ground while trying to "milk" the playbase for money and not listening to the alarms of the community. Goodbye WOT. ;'(
Tim Lewis I agree completely.i have been playing for about the same time and I honestly miss that first year of playing more than any other. There was always new tanks, maps and game modes. Now there are op premiums and it's just not as fun anymore. I honestly can only take an hour of it at a time before I'm done.
Im a F2P player for over 4 years in WOT asia server on my starting career as a regular player in wot Im so satisfy back then how it was well balance game for my first two years in wot when they started releasing "Pay to Win" tank I started using prem rounds usually I use it if my enemy are well angled or higher tiers than me .. gladly I spent so much money on spending hours in game but not on actual cash most of my tanks,premium acct or gold are gift to me from my friend and free codes in gathering and twitch. but WG destroyed WOT sad. Im planning to quit and rest my account for a year.

Its not just the premium wallet warrior thing. Its the constant stream of new OP tanks or massively buffed old tanks (Maus!) constantly fucking with the meta and unbalancing the game to try and shake more money out of the player base. This shit all started with the Japanese heavies and it just keeps getting worse. Its not going to get better. I'm done with WoT.
I think the biggest problem that I have, after all of this drama has come out, is NA's response to this. The EU's PR has been fairly good after this whole shit show, but NA has pretty much confirmed everyone's fears and I think that wargaming's PR structure (and maybe even their system of having regions that are pretty much independent of each other) needs a massive shake up.
Lower the RNG of penetration from 25 % to a more acceptable level (10 % for example). I don't have a problem with RNG on the damage, it has its ups and downs, but you can get and equal amount of both of them. But if your penetration rolls low you get the down-side massively, while rolling high doesn't really reward, because usually you were already shooting at a place where you could probably penetrate the enemy, but where it would be rewarding, i.e. at a thick part of the armor, you most likely don't even shoot, because you don't want to risk it.

I agree. The armor penetration of a shell should be relatively consistent. This will encourage knowledge of weak spots, and will improve the effectiveness of frontal armor. No longer would 190mm of effective armor be able to be penetrated by a 175mm average penetration shell 33% of the time. Currently, an IS can derp away at the frontal hull armor of an IS-3, and penetrate, on average, 1 in 3 shots. Skill and knowledge should be the primary factors when determining whether or not you will do damage, not luck. The other thing that I would love to see would be a stock penetration indicator that takes into account armor angling and evaluates against the effective armor. This would be a huge aid to new players, and would help them learn where each tank's weak spots are.
that is true, same is for all other characteristics like accuracy and damage. in real life when i shot guns if i have 2 gun that both shot on average let say about 1.5 MOA but the first gun shots more of those magic 1 MOA or sub-MOA groups it means it it would shot also more of the 2 MOA or more groups, and i would prefer the second gun since it's more predictable and reliable in sense of when i shot it, i have better knowing where it would hit and how it will preform.

QB, would it work slightly better if Premium Ammo was only available for, say tier 7 or 8 upwards ? ie. Not available for tier 6 & below, where all the new players are still honing their skills. It would also slightly lessen the chance of Super Unicoms playing in tier 2 & 3 seal clubbing all the lesser skilled players.
Hey Quickybaby, I don't comment often (nearly at all), but I wanted to ring in after watching this video. I have been watching your content and streams for a while, and I have really enjoyed it. Even improved in the game for a while. But the points you are making are unfortunately why I feel encouraged to play less and less. The continued push for premium usage is really draining on someone who plays other games and sees that they are still drastically profitable. Your examples you bring up, Overwatch and League, are great to me. They give cosmetic rewards for showing you are good at the game, and almost everything you can buy with premium currency is either easy to acquire with in game currency and more permanent (champions in League) or completely cosmetic (skins and such in Overwatch, skins in League, icons, etc). Here is what I feel beyond what you said: I know this is unlikely to ever be changed as their business model seems to make them a lot of money, but I think the current business model Wargaming has is not one that is friendly to newcomers. Grind requiring premium time or vehicles for average to lower than average players to stay competitive in higher tiers (premium rounds and consumables) plus both a monthly cost and high cost in game premium vehicles feels out of line in terms of monetization ethics compared to these other online, free to play games. Will this ever be changed at this point? I don't know. But I do think it is one of the core problems for growth in the game. I think many people wouldn't necessarily like a shift from premium vehicles and reward vehicles to cosmetic rewards, but I think such a shift would, in the end, be far better for the game. Imagine the black or berlin tanks as skins instead of separate tanks? Charge less and don't make them give stat bonuses, but then...far less complaints, and far friendlier monetization, to me. Either way, thank you for all your content and what you do for the community. I have enjoyed what you put out and still watch you (even after not playing for a few months!). To another five years!
My complains: 1) Do not allow special equipment bought by bonds to be applicable in Random. If they do it - that's it for me. I personally play only KV2 to solve all this situation with gold and armor - HE doesn't care. However, it won't be fair if I face other KV2 with special equipment and directives in random battles. The game will lose any sense for me. I've played WoT for 4 years almost and I don't have a single tier 10 vehicle, never bothered to research any - it's not interesting to me as fun for me ends on tier 9. 2) This situation with Type5 Heavy is unacceptable. Premium rounds which are strictly better than standard should never ever exist. 3) Start nerfing/making more situational premium ammo. Sure, it's too late to remove it from the game, but at least make it more situational gradually. 4) Give 0 money and experience to bots, who never move, as they are still quite often can be seen.
usun the only other tank prior to the Type 5 that had this kind of stupid premium round I knew of was the box tank SU-100Y, but in exchange for that increased alpha damage it had less penetration Meanwhile the Type 5 15cm premium round is HE, which has largely no downsides GG WG
but will they attack, i know people like me get really unlucky and get one shot before firing but is there bots that can fight for a player in wot since swifty witnessed one in wow i think in cata or later not sure
See people complain about prem ammo, but HE is far worse. Gold ammo still won't pen an IS7 turret. But fire an HE round anywhere and it does damage. It completely negates armour, no skill, all luck. And the luck comes from how bad the aiming is. Now I'm fine with the better equipment in randoms under the condition bonds can be earned in random battles by mission. Not skill missions, xp earned missions. So all you have to do is play the game to get bonds.
Well, HE is a standard round from the beginning of the game. And to heavily armored vehicle HE will do relatively small damage. With arty nerf and reusable consumables I don't think it's such a big of the deal. Derp guns are highly inaccurate and slow reload. As for skill... well, I have 57% WR in KV2 with 53% average - www.noobmeter.com/player/na/usun - and the only reason total average is a bit higher than average Joe is KV2. I don't think KV2 is OP, it is just a tank where an older lad like me can actually think between shots and plan moves. All these lights and mediums with pew-pew-pew are too darn fast for me. And KV2 cannot carry much, it's not like those fast invisible turreted TDs, E25s and even mediums which can run around map and murder half of the enemy team without even being spotted. In KV2 you actually must keep your allies alive for as long as possible, as you cannot count on Kalabanov's medal (I have only 1 for 5.5k games with KV2).
I just want to say that I have been watching your videos for a long time. I watch them to get exactly what you intended to give us, strengths'/weaknesses, how to approach new vehicles as well as protect the ones I have. I have always found your videos to be helpful, and I thank you for the effort you put into them. Being undoubtedly one of the elder players of this game (50+) I have to tell you that I don't pay attention to the Nay Sayers, and I hope this helped you to not pay too much attention to them either. Bravo QB. Very well orchestrated. More politicians should be like you. What I like about WoT: New matchmaker is fantastic Fun and addictive gameplay Rewards like XP and credit boosters really keep me engaged 30 vs 30 game mode looks AMAZING What needs improving: Premium rounds need lower alpha and need to cost less. Over penetration mechanic needs implementing that causes less damage (like in WOWS) More cosmetic personalisation needs adding to make every player more unique (marks of excellence is a great example) ALL op premium tanks need nerfing and players with them to be reimbursed if they so choose. Make EVERYTHING that costs gold purchasable by a high number of credits I miss historical battles :( I understand WG is not a charity and they need to pay their staff but there are more intelligent ways of doing it. Instead of charging players the world for daring to play a Tier 7,8,9 or 10 vehicle, focus on giving cosmetic changes to vehicles.
I don't think the new premiums need nerfed (except for the Chrysler, those machine gun ports should be weak spots), but I do think the older, less powerful tanks like the Tiger II and T32 should be buffed to the level of the new premiums.
I agree that they should find another way to gain some revenue. WoT have 25% paying player out of its total player base which is very big for F2P games where the number usually only around 10% or less. WG should've tried converting some of the free to play players not by making OP premium tanks (which the cost might be probihitive for them in the first place) but by having more discount on Premium Account. For me premium account is a good business model in WoT since by having it, it doesn't automatically grants you a win or good performance. It scales to your skills, rewards you accordingly, and thus it needs you to play the game. Premium Account is cheap as of now, and it benefits is quite good already. The extra gold will make playing tier 8 and above less painful from the extra credits which a friend of mine really struggling with due to high cost maintenance of the tier. It can go cheaper from more discount and non-bundled promotiong since WG wouldn't lose nothing. People will play more, it'll be more rewarding for them, and WG receive some money. Win-win situation to my eyes unlike OP premium tanks.
I agree 100%. but if you have a tier 10 td like the shit barn, deathstar, or jadpanzer then you just over pen every medium and light and some heavy's. like I said I agree but the over pen needs to be slightly different than in wows to be ballanced
uhh... but the tank is very unbalanced. as a player with over 2400 wn8 (which is just making a point in saying I'm a decent player) I can out play most players with the crystler super easy. it's just too good for T8. you should see T8 CW it's basically pay to win at this point with the defender, skorp, E5, crystler and black dog...
Thumbs up to remove "super equipments" from random battles. 👍 - It would be cool to see my KV-1 with 7 crew skills even better better, but it wouldn't teach anything to the rookies at my platoon sessions. I want my golden KV-1!
Hey dude, I'm guessing you play a lot of KV-1, so I would be greatful if you told me what gun you are using. I struggle to find the best gun myself and I'm currently using the derp gun.
Final Baoz Well... I got above 3000 battles on my KV-1, because I'm a big fan of this tank. Hehehe I use the 57mm fast firing, the punchy 85mm and 122mm derp... But the historical 76mm got no use. The 57mm provides a quick reload time, fairly nice accuracy, good AP penetration and amazing AP penetration, but low damage per shot. It basically turns the KV-1 into some kinda of Churchill III. Pretty good against light and very mobile targets, but will expose the KV-1 for longer periods. The 122mm is the classic derp. High potential damage on both shells, fairly deadly against light armors, it can have very crippling effects in terms of module damages and it may requires less exposing time. The only problem is how unreliable the HE (sometimes you hit a module and deal zero damage) and the HEAT (it's miserable against angles and spaced armor) can be... the accuracy is not good for long range, but it's not impossible to hit immobilized targets. And the crippling effects of the derp on modules don't look like so severe as before with the "multiple use repairs". The 85mm is much more well balance, with a bigger punch, usable HE rounds and slightly higher penetration on AP than the 57mm and much more reliable and accurate than the 122mm. With the 85mm, you can deal decent damage per shot and can get some nice long range shots too. By the way, if you feel like you cannot penetrate a target due to extreme angles, you can always _double tap 3_ and pick-up the HE to harass, cripple, immobilize or even deal some damage on your target. If you spot a lightly armored Marder 38t, the back of a Hetzer, a Hellcat or a "Panzer Toaster" (that square tank destroyer), it's very likely you can deal high damages with HE rounds than AP rounds. And that's the general idea. I got plenty of fun with all 3 guns, but the 85mm is my recommendation for multipurpose gun. The next steps: improve repair time, improve gun handling and improve mobility. Good luck and have fun! :D
corridor maps. that has to be one of the worst. they say they will fix all corridor maps, but then add Paris and Pilsen after removing pearl River and dragon ridge, the only decent maps a few years back... they are bringing out more premium vehicles than adding more regular vehicles, buffing arty so it makes you useless if it hits you for a certain amount of time, we need new maps and new non premium tanks more than anything
QB I huge issue for the truly free to play player are credits, without a premium account or tank is extremely difficult to make profit in high tier game i.e Tier 8,9,10 , I feel like WarGaming need to do something about this
I am a free to play player and I can tell you this: there is a reason why my top 3 tanks played are tier 6 (and 1 tier 9) tank. If you wanna make credits you gotta play tier 5, 6 and maybe 7 'till kingdom come. I personnaly don't have a problem with this, and another thing: you don't need to spam premium ammo, just need to know when to use it and use it wisely. I am not the kind of player that carries 90% of my ammo as premium, I normaly load around 4 to 10 HEAT or APCR premium shell (depending on the tank, of course) and I still manage to do pretty good in my tanks ^^ and if you are wondering, I have a win ratio of over 54% and a recent WN8 of around 2800, so I am not a terrible player, and I am not a unicum either, I'm just trying to prove my point in that there is no need to spam premium ammo, premium ammo is there to be used wisely, not mercilessly like many people think it is nessesary
Arekuu I don't know, I think it's alright, it's not like you need to always be playing your top tier tanks, sure it's very difficult to make credits at tier 10, (btw I don't run a premium account either) but that shouldn't why your there, it should be for being at the top or improving your competitive skills. and if your trying to grind through tiers 8 9 or 10, you should have an idea whether or not you are willing to buy a premium account or premium tanks to continue playing , which I think is better than having some upfront cost to start playing and then realising that you actually don't like the game.
My major issue with WG is the major difference in operation between the NA and EU servers, it's bad enough I have to have 2 different accounts to play on both servers but also having to memorize the P's & Q's of each server is so convoluted. A standard set policy of operation between the two should be set and the EU ans NA server team start operating on the same page.
QuickyBaby, I am not an attorney, but it seems to me that Wargaming publicly attacking SirFoch, claiming he made, "homophobic slurs", (I didn't notice any in his video), and that he used, "hate speech", (using vulgar language is not hate speech, it's freedom of speech!), and that he supposedly, "defamed", Wargaming, it might be that SirFoch has very substantial grounds to hire an attorney and go after Wargaming for slander and defamation of character. Everything that SirFoch said is correct. How is it defaming if it's correct? Then Wargaming tried to infringe upon his rights of freedom of speech by threatening SirFoch with a copyright infringement claim, when his video didn't contain anything that Wargaming has copyright protection for? If I were an attorney, I would be *drooling* to take SirFoch's case. Wargaming seems to be a ship that is entirely out of control with no one at the helm! The rage has been building for a long time so this whole episode is no surprise though much of it could have been avoided had it not been for WG. WG is so greedy that they would eagerly eat the paint off a house if it would better their profits. WG is more or less digging their own grave by not being honest and direct with their own community, their handling is classic of a malfunctioning business that has deep rooted issues.
Wish wargaming would rebalance the stun mechanic like make the stun stat change based off the dmg taken. buff the tier 10 lights some. and steer away from making these big really heavily armored tier 8's that still have good guns. rebalance it. Something interesting to see would to cap the amount of premium ammo a person can load to increase the skill.
Chase Williams I suggested the Premium cap in the forums. Either 30% of the ammo on your tank can be premium, or rounds get more expensive as you fire them (for example, the first round is 2800, the next one is 3640, and the next 4700 and so on). Those were the best ways I could think of.

Wargaming are the problem here, something it seems many players have lost sight of amongst this idiotic drama. Foch is Foch and that's why we like him, I'm sure in hindsight he might of rephrased some comments but this is the internet and it is what it is.
tega Foch is not without responsibility here, but you are correct. WG took a rather minor situation and blew it completely out of proportion. Overreacted in the extreme, and now they just keep digging and digging. I'd almost feel sorry for them, if it wasn't so serious and if they hadn't brought it on themselves.
+lionstar2222 I think both are at fault as well. WG was not out of line in asking Foch to take down the video. Foch's review was... unprofessional. WG was way over the line with the threat of the copyright strike, and this morning's veiled threat on Kotaku. I think as many do that the autonomous nature of the individual WG Zones absolutely contributed to this situation. Evidently, there are no guiding directives from WG Central to cover this kind of PR disaster.

Hey QB! I thought i'd just tell you real quick, that i personally stopped playing World of Tanks in the very early Days, when they introduced Gold-Ammunition for Silver. IMO it would be better without increased penetration at all. Long Story short: I never played WoT again since those early Days, BUT i do LOVE watching YOUR Videos (and Streams) about WoT! For me it's not about the Game itself... It is all about you and your opinion and gameplay. You entertain me. And i hope i'm able to enjoy and Support your Videos/Sreams for many Years to come. Even if it's not about WoT. :)

You have been doing a great job at showing an objective view on many, if not all, tanks. QB I love your content, i'm a new player and i learned a lot with your tips and tricks. I've been watching your streams and have seen you "complaining" about the light tanks and I had an idea that i think would "fix" the light tanks. My idea about the light tanks is very simple and it should be very effective, WG should increase slightly the base view range and the DPM (rof or alpha damage) and increase the penetracion but only at close range (meaning that the light tanks will lose a great amount of penetration at long range) so the light tanks would be able to play as a scout and also be able to defend them selfs in a close quarters combat. A letter to QB..... Dear William (QB), Thank yoy for being youself. I knew I made a good choice in subbing to your twitch. I two years ago started playing World of tanks and absolutely loved it. I loved what the game offered and I highly enjoyed logging in and challenging myself to be a better player. in my humble opinion I don't quite like the tier 9 and 10 light tanks. I feel like this should stay at Teir 8. other than that I completely agree with your list and I would like to commend you on staying true to yourself and looking at both the good and the bad about the situation. I thank you so much for the quality content that you put out. I sadly have been playing World of Tanks a lot less recently due to some of these recent changes and Matchmaker and the light tanks. I I currently have about 15,000 battles on the North American server and all I want is for World of Tanks to feel like World of Tanks again. A place where everybody was enjoying not only the game but having fun with friends and competitive play against other clans Clans. I know this was a bit lengthy of a comment but QB I would like to sincerely say once again thank you for being awesome and sharing some of your experiences in such a way that I would almost consider you a friend. it used to be "pay to win" back in the day(required premium for 3 man platoons, premium ammo costing only gold, ect.). I do however agree that they are moving back in that direction.
Maps are still an issue, the lack of diversity (they are all pretty much routed), HE mechanics are still a problem (no balance to them), Gold rounds need an adjustment(higher pen is nice, but they shouldn't also do more damage)

Quickybaby please encourage all your followers to start a moratorium on on buying anything that requires gold in any WG game. Including premium time. It will not be until WG sees how pissed the members are and we hurt them in the wallet for what has happened. I say not gold and ammo purchases for a 2 week to one month time period. Once WG sees their coffers hurt they will change the tank designs and start thinking of the greater good of the game. Either that or they will eventually go under. I like the game but this pay to win thing has to stop. Yes ok make the tanks to they are harder to pen but you should not have to buy premium ammo unless you are 2 tiers down. Also to have to buy a premium tank and run gold in it is so stupid. It has to stop. Please make a call across all your platforms so WG has to listen.

I stopped making any purchases after the Black edition tanks and been F2P since. 9.19 is frankly disgusting with premium equipment and uber premium consumables that requires people to play ranked mode.

Free speech only applies when it comes to governments being involved. Private individuals and private companies cannot infringe on one's freedom of speech. They couldn't have used a tactic against free speech when they cannot infringe on it at all.
This person makes their living from youtube and they threatened his livelihood if he did not take down his video. On Wargaming's forum it clearly stated everyone is welcome to use content free of copyright.
Biggest issue is the +/-1 matchmaking. Putting tier V with tier VII is a joke. New players either encounter tanks they can't scratch or are put top of the board where they don't need to learn how to play properly in order to do well. The player base is more than big enough to support limiting the difference to 1 tier total (eg V/VI or VII/VIII), or even going to single tier. This would be especially beneficial at the lower tiers. Bonus: it fixes the issue with the preferential matchmaking tanks you've identified.
Why? You think the KV 2 can win one on one vs a O-I or O-Ni? Maybe an M6 will have a hard time against a KV2, but I can't think of any other 6th or 7th tier heavy that'll have a hard time destroying a KV 2. So you are the joke here Francesco, L2P.

I never really knew Foch or watched his content but checked him out on Twitch last night and the people in chat were so toxic and foul mouthed compared to QBs chat on Twicth. Also, Foch has a really bad potty mouth. Not my cup of tea. QB, Skill, Claus, even Dez... for me.
Wargaming should fix the balance of teams, for example what I see a lot is 1 team full of +-5K players and the other team has 3 unicorns. No wonder the 5K players lose.
With respect, I completely disagree. Getting into a bad team can be annoying, but I think skill based matchmaking could kill the random matchmaker. A system like that is easily abused (playing on other peoples account for example). A better idea would be: 1. Rewarding the best player(s) on the losing team if they were significantly better than the rest of their team. 2. Have a separate game mode with skill based MM. I hope the new ranked mode might fill this gap.
They already do, its called heroic contribution. If you get a major award during a game such as a top gun, high caliber etc you earn the same exp and credits as if you won. One of the single best features ever added to the game in my opinion.
Kinda like the SuperPershing was pre pen buff. If you wanted to be competitive in that tank you were forced to carry at least a 50/50 ap/apcr loadout because the base pen was jsut shit. The chrysler has the same issue. With just AP its a mediocre HT with great front armor. But with apcr its broken.
Yeah, the gun would have been shit if it only shoots AP. Press 2 and you have a gun with epic gun handling, non-existent aim time, tier 10 level penetration and decent DPM.

That is why we've been infuriated by your lack of a desire to take a stand: because we know that Wargaming respects you a lot -- more so than an average wot youtuber, and that you should realize that whatever you say can be a great stone that you can throw in to pitch the balance of the state of things. If you did not take a stance, Wargaming might have thought that they might as well not respond to this as well, but you could, for the benefit of the community, be able to also voice out our complaints as well. You are a community contributor. Bridge the gap between Wargaming and its players. Endorse wargaming to us and encourage us to buy their tanks, but make sure it is a two way relationship and you publicly voice out the concerns of the playerbase as well. May World of Tanks continue to live a thousand years...
That list was everything I was thinking and I completely agree. The only thing that I'd add would be map variation as too many maps are copy-paste playstyle, either with a mid ridge or lanes. More LT and TD friendly maps with diverse playstyles are needed. Although this video is old, I'd like to say we still support you and will continue to do so, your content is unrivaled and we appreciate you speaking out like this.
Thank you for this video. I don't like the stun from arty. I feel like it is a nerf on heavy tanks or anyone in the open because you can end up with nerfed stats for the majority of the game. Also I don't like that you can't platoon in arty. I've mostly stopped playing arty because why would I play arty alone when I could play another class with my friends. I strongly agree with all the points you've made in this video.
Since the "nerf", I've been doing more damage than ever in my M44. Sure, I have less pen and a bit less avg damage, but with a fully maxed out crew and gun rammer, the rof is insane.

Quicky I have always enjoyed your videos. And I LEARNED a lot from them. You are a true gentleman. I was very early looking forward to the new Tier 10 Light Tanks and a significant reduction in the absolutely bizarre artillery in this tank game. Honestly, I spent well in excess of 2000 (American) on this game in the last half year. However when I saw the "developers" gut the Tier 10s before even releasing them, and fail to do anything significant to address the ridiculous artillery in this TANK game I gave up. I played 3 games after the patch. After seeing how crappy the developers treated us I said to heck with them. I have a fantastic job. I have great money and much time. But trust me, you "developers" at WoT there are many, many recreational outlets for me. Bottom line, I dont need you and evidently you dont need me. Quicky it's not you. It's these cowards some horrible manager hired to run WoT. I would cuss them out REAL good but I try and be Christian. Not a good example but hey, the "Developers" are not worth getting upset. There are lots of things that i don;t like about the game that has changed but i have 2 major problems with wargaming right now 1st gold tanks they need to slow down i hate how many they add at a time the amount of tanks they release for gold or "pay to win" is ridiculous with the amount that come out they could of added entire tree lines like Japanese TDs and others my second problem is gold rounds i don't mind them being in the game but i feel there should be a cap on how much you can bring to battle depending on the tank of course because some people just load up premium only and it ruins my games this game is free to play and i've been playing since it was released live and it was good before and recently it has just been feeling like a paid for game you cant even say free to play anymore because if you try playing free you make little to any progress so please QuickyBaby read my comment and bring this up because every time i play i cant enjoy my self anymore the one tank i enjoyed most were my light tanks and now every single one has been nerfed I hope you read this and let me know what you think thanks ! -A Loving Fan
I hate the thing that wargaming makes older premium tanks outdated, so that you have to buy newer ones to remain competitive... for example the t34 and the patriot, the is6 and the defender (even with better matchmaking)... if 2 equally skilled players meet with the earlier mentioned tanks on equal footing, 9/10 times the newer tank will win (lets give a chance to rng lol).

The only way to clean up this heap of sh.t would be imho: 1. Fire Phelan 2/a Make a sincere, official apology, and reinstate SirFoch's CC status 2/b Declare officially that WG is never going to take such action against anyone expressing his/her opinion on RUclips or any other channel in the future, in any circumstances 3. Stop the f..king shameless money grabbing that ruins the game, such as: - making premium tanks better than non-premiums - issuing tanks with no weakspots that cannot be penned from the front by same tier tanks without premium shells - introducing new tank lines with op tanks and later nerfing them, to force players free xp themselves through new lines in order to be able to play with the new high tier op tanks before they're getting nerfed - nerfing gun accuracy to make players miss more, and therefore spend more money on ammo - removing large open maps where long battles were fought, to make the game faster and faster, so that players play more games and spend more money on premium ammo and consumables during the same time - manipulating results through mm and rng to force players use more premium ammo and consumables in order to preserve their stats - etc.
Csaba SCS Saw a few days ago a video from another WOT streamer and also a good player (Circonflexes) where he was showing an highlight moment of his stream (which i also saw live) where he had a nice game with kv-122 on highway. During the stream (and consequently on the highlighy video) he said the Highway map was 'shit' or anything like that and because of that he got the same adverts like foch. He just said 'shit' map and he was threatened by the same Ph3lan on geting copyright strikes and alse geting kicked from CC program... Dude what? Why WG?

I don't think WG should fire Phelan because he had admitted, apologized for it, and said he would change his ways and guaranteed that WG would not abuse copyright strikes to censor. But someone from NA threw fuel into the dying fire, and I think the person who had said they would do it, should be fired. And also I do think prem tanks should not have any advantages because it already has some, it has a better credit coefficent, and that should only be the advantage it has.
Shih Town not really tbh. Still how are you supposed to make creds if in a tank you spent real money on just for that. Hell you can't just get a kv2 and fully load he and shoot all over the place. That on it's own will give hells of creds. And by advantages I didn't mean that it's invisible. For example a heavy tank should like have a slight better armor OR better speed. BUT doesn't mean it should be unpenable with normal rounds.
QuickyBaby, a big problem I face in the game and im sure many more do is that some tier 10 tanks are much stronger than others. For example the FV215b,yes it has a brilliant gun, but it lacks armor,mobility and just cant compete against a Type5 or a Maus. Whenever I come across a Type 5 in my FV I always have to switch to APCR because I just cant pen them with AP, and the worst thing is that they don't even have to aim to damage me,they just click and boom goes 800HP for example.This is very unfair and I would like if it changed!Another probem is that tier 10 tanks are not profitabe, on average I loose about 30.000 credits in a tier 10 game,yes I could buy a premium account but I cant afford to.Last but not least is that there is no Cypriot flag in the game,i find it disgraceful that they have flags such as turkeys in the game who isn't even in Europe but don't have the Cypriot one,thank you for reading and hope this gets to WG.

Keep doing what you are doing -- your video was quite honestly inspirational. I saw the post from WG NA that Jingles posted and was appalled -- but not surprised. There are too many in this world who too often use labels that have lost their true meaning - yet those labels set off firestorms that are uncontrollable. Too many react, too few think. Since these vehicles aka players who spend real-life money in the game are so dominant in SH s and CW s (competitive gamemodes) as well as Campaigns (which consists of CWs) players who dont spend money on them are in a complete drawback, and often a better clan loses against a worse clan just because of powercreeps.

*Time limit reduction to 10 minutes.
Buff to superheavy armor and guns make them tricky to pen even with gold, where they can eat the shells with their massive HP pool and usually have better gun than you, Arty nerf makes arty basicly ineffective to superheavies, a CGC shot deals 400 dmg-550 dmg, a maus can basicly sit in the open for artillery in some defence strategies without caring to arty. And the change of time 15.00 - 10.00 makes it harder to melt down enemy super heavy forces "which obviously grew since last patches, - More HP , More armor (less penning shots=no dmg) , Less time. Is not a good combination. This basicly defines T10 SH and sometimes CWs as well as even WG League..

Hell, you didn't even bring up the Tier 6 SH. Look at the Cromwell B versus the Cromwell. The T-34-85M versus the T-34-85. I have all 4 of those tanks in my garage currently, but when I do Tier 6 SH or CW, take a wild guess which 2 I am using? Yep. Cromwell B and T-34-85M.
It USED to be that Premium tanks were worse versions of their tech-tree counterparts but if you played hard enough, you could use their extra Credits and XP to make some money and train some crews at the expense of a bit of a struggle in gameplay. Nowadays though, the Premiums are BETTER than their tech-tree counterparts AND get the added Credits and XP to boot! I can't compete in SH and CW in my T-34-85 and Cromwell - the Cromwell B and T-34-85M are that much better that I bought them just to stay competitive, and the massive disparity between both my WN8 and average damage per game/win rate between the Premiums and their tech-tree twins just goes to show the ridiculous capabilities of these premium tanks. o7

@MarkTheFox Y E S, but also on the balance in wot blitz, the problem of world of tanks blitz is that, one the heavy tanks of all tiers although are best at fighting each other and other tiers, they are too much for the lights and mediums to fight with
two medium tanks are being outmatched by light tanks so much they seemed almost irrelevant
three the light tanks have too much hp while having too much dpm and they are doing way better in battle than mediums and light tanks are not even doing what they are supposed to do
and finally tank destroyers are underrated and much like light tanks they are unable to do what they are supposed to do
The cause of all these unbalances are the maps, the wot blitz maps are copies of PC but its more like dumping your trash from a office trash can on the ground and draw lines around them which means there are too many obstacles on the map, and all of the blitz are made for brawls which means wargaming have to buff some tanks so they much above tiers and other tank types
how I think wargaming should fix all of this is actually rebalancing ALL tiers and ALL types of tanks and also start making fucking maps that would benefit some tank types and not for others, and make all tank types to do WHAT THEY ARE HISTORICALLY BUILT FOR, and also make ways people can grind the tech tree a lot faster, make all tiers 6 to 10 premium tanks unavailable unless they grind a tech tree tank of that tier (e.g grinded to tier 7, tier 6 and 7 premium tanks available for purchase) but make tier 9 and 10 premiums unavailable for purchase and ONLY rewarded from something through effort, finally remove premium tanks from people's accounts that have lots of battles in them after making the last solutions I presented and FORCE them to grind back to that specific tier that premium tanks they bought is on just to give it back so to make them also progress the tech tree

The main problem I have with the game currently is just the ridiculous power creep premiums and the route that wargaming is taking with the need for premium ammo use. Maus and Type 5 are clearly OP after their buff. What WG NEED to do to increase the value of armor on heavies or other heavily armored vehicles is to get rid of premium rounds altogether, buff the pen of standard ammunition and move more towards a cosmetic style of microtransaction system. I have no doubts that they make way more than enough money to continue as a company just from premium time purchases alone. So the justification of them needing to sell prem ammo and consumables to succeed is utter BS in my opinion. Also, NEW MAPS PLZ WG.
The only thing in the game they have changed in the last year that I like is some of the MM changes, although I still think they need to change their algorithm a bit...
I can deal with the Type 5, the Maus is excessive but the tier 8 uber premiums are cancer. Just wait for the VK168 that could potentially have a 750 alpha gun with decent dpm at tier 8 with the same armor as the tier 9 maus.

You can deal with it, but they are still OP relativistically. It's quite annoying when I have to load premium ammo in my T110E3 to pen a Maus or Type 5 frontally. Yea the Maus LFP is no prob as long as it isn't angled super steep but it isn't that hard to hide the LFP of a Maus, and the Type 5 doesn't have any frontal weak spots except the cupola, which is still strong AF. The problem with the OP premiums is that since WG released the tanks and sold them, they can't nerf them or someone will just take legal actions against them, so RIP tier 8.

I agree. In begining i didn't know that u can reset skill and than train crew to another tank and in that way don't lose base 100% crew level. With every tank i needed to train crew on 100%. I didnt' pay 1 euro in the game in this 5 years, and im not a bad player, a 53% win, mostly by learning game from QB :) Thx QB ;)

New player retention. There is way too much of a gulf between a player that has grinded to their first tier 5, and a 5 skill t67 driver. Tier 5 was the point of the game where sh!+ got real for me, and I realized to be competitive I would have to put real money into it. Some kind of free tier 5 premium for the milestone (not a turd) would give players who haven't spent any money a reason to stay. Also, maybe offering an incentive to watch how to vids from you or other cc's
I ever dreamed with that *-*, I've been playing for around 5 years and my only free tank for a milestone was the m3 light after completing the turorial(of course I have a ton of tier 3 tanks because of gifts tanks from WG) but they never put a tier 5 as a milestone, or even for reaching your first tier 10 or your second! they should definetly put a reward system to encourage grinding.
It was when I reached tier 6 that I realised that without paying I wont be competitive, about 2 weeks later they added the scorpion g. since then I only play the kv 2

As a 3 year player, I found WOT growing on me, the game, the tactics, the new maps, everything. Now, we dont have new maps, there are no frontal weakspots without the "2" key and F2P players are leaving. I have a prem account and am on the edge of leaving this game that has brought so many wonderful and funny moments into my life. Why? Cause of the sheer greed of WG and their stubbornness at listening to their fan base. This game isnt fun to play anymore unless you like shooting heat every single game. The skill has been nerfed and the P2W style has been buffed. This is quickly killing the game (if not killed already) RIP WOT. We miss you and hate, I mean, strongly hate the WG staff who has taken a game that we all love and cherish, and run in into the ground while trying to "milk" the playbase for money and not listening to the alarms of the community. Goodbye WOT. ;'(

Now there are op premiums and it's just not as fun anymore. I honestly can only take an hour of it at a time before I'm done.
Im a F2P player for over 4 years in WOT asia server on my starting career as a regular player in wot Im so satisfy back then how it was well balance game for my first two years in wot when they started releasing "Pay to Win" tank I started using prem rounds usually I use it if my enemy are well angled or higher tiers than me .. gladly I spent so much money on spending hours in game but not on actual cash most of my tanks,premium acct or gold are gift to me from my friend and free codes in gathering and twitch. but WG destroyed WOT sad. Im planning to quit and rest my account for a year.

I think the biggest problem that I have, after all of this drama has come out, is NA's response to this. The EU's PR has been fairly good after this whole shit show, but NA has pretty much confirmed everyone's fears and I think that wargaming's PR structure (and maybe even their system of having regions that are pretty much independent of each other) needs a massive shake up.

Lower the RNG of penetration from 25 % to a more acceptable level (10 % for example). I don't have a problem with RNG on the damage, it has its ups and downs, but you can get and equal amount of both of them. But if your penetration rolls low you get the down-side massively, while rolling high doesn't really reward, because usually you were already shooting at a place where you could probably penetrate the enemy, but where it would be rewarding, i.e. at a thick part of the armor, you most likely don't even shoot, because you don't want to risk it.

I agree. The armor penetration of a shell should be relatively consistent. This will encourage knowledge of weak spots, and will improve the effectiveness of frontal armor. No longer would 190mm of effective armor be able to be penetrated by a 175mm average penetration shell 33% of the time. Currently, an IS can derp away at the frontal hull armor of an IS-3, and penetrate, on average, 1 in 3 shots.
Skill and knowledge should be the primary factors when determining whether or not you will do damage, not luck.
The other thing that I would love to see would be a stock penetration indicator that takes into account armor angling and evaluates against the effective armor. This would be a huge aid to new players, and would help them learn where each tank's weak spots are.
that is true, same is for all other characteristics like accuracy and damage. in real life when i shot guns if i have 2 gun that both shot on average let say about 1.5 MOA but the first gun shots more of those magic 1 MOA or sub-MOA groups it means it it would shot also more of the 2 MOA or more groups, and i would prefer the second gun since it's more predictable and reliable in sense of when i shot it, i have better knowing where it would hit and how it will preform.

QB, would it work slightly better if Premium Ammo was only available for, say tier 7 or 8 upwards ? ie. Not available for tier 6 & below, where all the new players are still honing their skills. It would also slightly lessen the chance of Super Unicoms playing in tier 2 & 3 seal clubbing all the lesser skilled players.

Hey Quickybaby, I don't comment often (nearly at all), but I wanted to ring in after watching this video. I have been watching your content and streams for a while, and I have really enjoyed it. Even improved in the game for a while. But the points you are making are unfortunately why I feel encouraged to play less and less. The continued push for premium usage is really draining on someone who plays other games and sees that they are still drastically profitable. Your examples you bring up, Overwatch and League, are great to me. They give cosmetic rewards for showing you are good at the game, and almost everything you can buy with premium currency is either easy to acquire with in game currency and more permanent (champions in League) or completely cosmetic (skins and such in Overwatch, skins in League, icons, etc).
Here is what I feel beyond what you said: I know this is unlikely to ever be changed as their business model seems to make them a lot of money, but I think the current business model Wargaming has is not one that is friendly to newcomers. Grind requiring premium time or vehicles for average to lower than average players to stay competitive in higher tiers (premium rounds and consumables) plus both a monthly cost and high cost in game premium vehicles feels out of line in terms of monetization ethics compared to these other online, free to play games. Will this ever be changed at this point? I don't know. But I do think it is one of the core problems for growth in the game. I think many people wouldn't necessarily like a shift from premium vehicles and reward vehicles to cosmetic rewards, but I think such a shift would, in the end, be far better for the game. Imagine the black or berlin tanks as skins instead of separate tanks? Charge less and don't make them give stat bonuses, but then...far less complaints, and far friendlier monetization, to me.
Either way, thank you for all your content and what you do for the community. I have enjoyed what you put out and still watch you (even after not playing for a few months!). To another five years!

My complains:
1) Do not allow special equipment bought by bonds to be applicable in Random. If they do it - that's it for me. I personally play only KV2 to solve all this situation with gold and armor - HE doesn't care. However, it won't be fair if I face other KV2 with special equipment and directives in random battles. The game will lose any sense for me. I've played WoT for 4 years almost and I don't have a single tier 10 vehicle, never bothered to research any - it's not interesting to me as fun for me ends on tier 9.
2) This situation with Type5 Heavy is unacceptable. Premium rounds which are strictly better than standard should never ever exist.
3) Start nerfing/making more situational premium ammo. Sure, it's too late to remove it from the game, but at least make it more situational gradually.
4) Give 0 money and experience to bots, who never move, as they are still quite often can be seen.

usun the only other tank prior to the Type 5 that had this kind of stupid premium round I knew of was the box tank SU-100Y, but in exchange for that increased alpha damage it had less penetration

See people complain about prem ammo, but HE is far worse. Gold ammo still won't pen an IS7 turret. But fire an HE round anywhere and it does damage. It completely negates armour, no skill, all luck. And the luck comes from how bad the aiming is.
Now I'm fine with the better equipment in randoms under the condition bonds can be earned in random battles by mission. Not skill missions, xp earned missions. So all you have to do is play the game to get bonds.
Well, HE is a standard round from the beginning of the game. And to heavily armored vehicle HE will do relatively small damage. With arty nerf and reusable consumables I don't think it's such a big of the deal. Derp guns are highly inaccurate and slow reload.
As for skill... well, I have 57% WR in KV2 with 53% average - www.noobmeter.com/player/na/usun - and the only reason total average is a bit higher than average Joe is KV2. I don't think KV2 is OP, it is just a tank where an older lad like me can actually think between shots and plan moves. All these lights and mediums with pew-pew-pew are too darn fast for me. And KV2 cannot carry much, it's not like those fast invisible turreted TDs, E25s and even mediums which can run around map and murder half of the enemy team without even being spotted. In KV2 you actually must keep your allies alive for as long as possible, as you cannot count on Kalabanov's medal (I have only 1 for 5.5k games with KV2).
I just want to say that I have been watching your videos for a long time. I watch them to get exactly what you intended to give us, strengths'/weaknesses, how to approach new vehicles as well as protect the ones I have. I have always found your videos to be helpful, and I thank you for the effort you put into them. Being undoubtedly one of the elder players of this game (50+) I have to tell you that I don't pay attention to the Nay Sayers, and I hope this helped you to not pay too much attention to them either. Keep up the good work, it is much appreciated.

30 vs 30 game mode looks AMAZING
What needs improving:
Premium rounds need lower alpha and need to cost less.
Over penetration mechanic needs implementing that causes less damage (like in WOWS)
More cosmetic personalisation needs adding to make every player more unique (marks of excellence is a great example)
ALL op premium tanks need nerfing and players with them to be reimbursed if they so choose.
Make EVERYTHING that costs gold purchasable by a high number of credits

I understand WG is not a charity and they need to pay their staff but there are more intelligent ways of doing it. Instead of charging players the world for daring to play a Tier 7,8,9 or 10 vehicle, focus on giving cosmetic changes to vehicles.
I don't think the new premiums need nerfed (except for the Chrysler, those machine gun ports should be weak spots), but I do think the older, less powerful tanks like the Tiger II and T32 should be buffed to the level of the new premiums.
I agree that they should find another way to gain some revenue. WoT have 25% paying player out of its total player base which is very big for F2P games where the number usually only around 10% or less. WG should've tried converting some of the free to play players not by making OP premium tanks (which the cost might be probihitive for them in the first place) but by having more discount on Premium Account. For me premium account is a good business model in WoT since by having it, it doesn't automatically grants you a win or good performance. It scales to your skills, rewards you accordingly, and thus it needs you to play the game.
Premium Account is cheap as of now, and it benefits is quite good already. The extra gold will make playing tier 8 and above less painful from the extra credits which a friend of mine really struggling with due to high cost maintenance of the tier. It can go cheaper from more discount and non-bundled promotiong since WG wouldn't lose nothing. People will play more, it'll be more rewarding for them, and WG receive some money. Win-win situation to my eyes unlike OP premium tanks.

uhh... but the tank is very unbalanced. as a player with over 2400 wn8 (which is just making a point in saying I'm a decent player) I can out play most players with the crystler super easy. it's just too good for T8. you should see T8 CW it's basically pay to win at this point with the defender, skorp, E5, crystler and black dog...

Hey dude, I'm guessing you play a lot of KV-1, so I would be greatful if you told me what gun you are using. I struggle to find the best gun myself and I'm currently using the derp gun.
Final Baoz Well... I got above 3000 battles on my KV-1, because I'm a big fan of this tank. Hehehe
I use the 57mm fast firing, the punchy 85mm and 122mm derp... But the historical 76mm got no use.
The 57mm provides a quick reload time, fairly nice accuracy, good AP penetration and amazing AP penetration, but low damage per shot. It basically turns the KV-1 into some kinda of Churchill III. Pretty good against light and very mobile targets, but will expose the KV-1 for longer periods.
The 122mm is the classic derp. High potential damage on both shells, fairly deadly against light armors, it can have very crippling effects in terms of module damages and it may requires less exposing time. The only problem is how unreliable the HE (sometimes you hit a module and deal zero damage) and the HEAT (it's miserable against angles and spaced armor) can be... the accuracy is not good for long range, but it's not impossible to hit immobilized targets. And the crippling effects of the derp on modules don't look like so severe as before with the "multiple use repairs".
The 85mm is much more well balance, with a bigger punch, usable HE rounds and slightly higher penetration on AP than the 57mm and much more reliable and accurate than the 122mm. With the 85mm, you can deal decent damage per shot and can get some nice long range shots too. By the way, if you feel like you cannot penetrate a target due to extreme angles, you can always _double tap 3_ and pick-up the HE to harass, cripple, immobilize or even deal some damage on your target. If you spot a lightly armored Marder 38t, the back of a Hetzer, a Hellcat or a "Panzer Toaster" (that square tank destroyer), it's very likely you can deal high damages with HE rounds than AP rounds.
And that's the general idea.
I got plenty of fun with all 3 guns, but the 85mm is my recommendation for multipurpose gun.
The next steps: improve repair time, improve gun handling and improve mobility.

corridor maps. that has to be one of the worst. they say they will fix all corridor maps, but then add Paris and Pilsen after removing pearl River and dragon ridge, the only decent maps a few years back... they are bringing out more premium vehicles than adding more regular vehicles, buffing arty so it makes you useless if it hits you for a certain amount of time, we need new maps and new non premium tanks more than anything
QB I huge issue for the truly free to play player are credits, without a premium account or tank is extremely difficult to make profit in high tier game i.e Tier 8,9,10 , I feel like WarGaming need to do something about this

I am a free to play player and I can tell you this: there is a reason why my top 3 tanks played are tier 6 (and 1 tier 9) tank. If you wanna make credits you gotta play tier 5, 6 and maybe 7 'till kingdom come. I personnaly don't have a problem with this, and another thing: you don't need to spam premium ammo, just need to know when to use it and use it wisely. I am not the kind of player that carries 90% of my ammo as premium, I normaly load around 4 to 10 HEAT or APCR premium shell (depending on the tank, of course) and I still manage to do pretty good in my tanks ^^ and if you are wondering, I have a win ratio of over 54% and a recent WN8 of around 2800, so I am not a terrible player, and I am not a unicum either, I'm just trying to prove my point in that there is no need to spam premium ammo, premium ammo is there to be used wisely, not mercilessly like many people think it is nessesary
Arekuu I don't know, I think it's alright, it's not like you need to always be playing your top tier tanks, sure it's very difficult to make credits at tier 10, (btw I don't run a premium account either) but that shouldn't why your there, it should be for being at the top or improving your competitive skills. and if your trying to grind through tiers 8 9 or 10, you should have an idea whether or not you are willing to buy a premium account or premium tanks to continue playing , which I think is better than having some upfront cost to start playing and then realising that you actually don't like the game.
Same here. I make credits playing tier 5 and 6 and spend them playing tier 9 and 10. I in fact, I prefer playing the lower tiers, as I have more fun.
My major issue with WG is the major difference in operation between the NA and EU servers, it's bad enough I have to have 2 different accounts to play on both servers but also having to memorize the P's & Q's of each server is so convoluted. A standard set policy of operation between the two should be set and the EU ans NA server team start operating on the same page.

The rage has been building for a long time so this whole episode is no surprise though much of it could have been avoided had it not been for WG. WG is so greedy that they would eagerly eat the paint off a house if it would better their profits. WG is more or less digging their own grave by not being honest and direct with their own community, their handling is classic of a malfunctioning business that has deep rooted issues.
Wish wargaming would rebalance the stun mechanic like make the stun stat change based off the dmg taken. buff the tier 10 lights some. and steer away from making these big really heavily armored tier 8's that still have good guns. rebalance it. Something interesting to see would to cap the amount of premium ammo a person can load to increase the skill.
Chase Williams I suggested the Premium cap in the forums. Either 30% of the ammo on your tank can be premium, or rounds get more expensive as you fire them (for example, the first round is 2800, the next one is 3640, and the next 4700 and so on). Those were the best ways I could think of.

Wargaming did show a lack of respect on everyone with the recent events, so, "legally" SirFoch is completely right.

Wargaming are the problem here, something it seems many players have lost sight of amongst this idiotic drama. Foch is Foch and that's why we like him, I'm sure in hindsight he might of rephrased some comments but this is the internet and it is what it is.
The bigger problem is WG digging the hole deeper and overreacting to what most people would have normally forgotten about after a day or two.

+lionstar2222 I think both are at fault as well. WG was not out of line in asking Foch to take down the video. Foch's review was... unprofessional. WG was way over the line with the threat of the copyright strike, and this morning's veiled threat on Kotaku. I think as many do that the autonomous nature of the individual WG Zones absolutely contributed to this situation. Evidently, there are no guiding directives from WG Central to cover this kind of PR disaster.

Hey QB! I thought i'd just tell you real quick, that i personally stopped playing World of Tanks in the very early Days, when they introduced Gold-Ammunition for Silver. IMO it would be better without increased penetration at all. Long Story short: I never played WoT again since those early Days, BUT i do LOVE watching YOUR Videos (and Streams) about WoT! For me it's not about the Game itself... It is all about you and your opinion and gameplay. You entertain me. And i hope i'm able to enjoy and Support your Videos/Sreams for many Years to come. Even if it's not about WoT. :)
Viewrange saturation. Makes ligths completely useless, as meds and heavies can outspot them unless you have a 2-3 skill light tank crew...
QB take it from someone who hasn't been playing WoT for little more than a year now, but who still watches your video's now and then. You have been doing a great job at showing an objective view on many, if not all, tanks. Recently I decided to get back into it and, frankly, you have made it a lot easier for me with all those buffs, nerfs and whole new vehicles. QB I love your content, i'm a new player and i learned a lot with your tips and tricks. I've been watching your streams and have seen you "complaining" about the light tanks and I had an idea that i think would "fix" the light tanks. My idea about the light tanks is very simple and it should be very effective, WG should increase slightly the base view range and the DPM (rof or alpha damage) and increase the penetracion but only at close range (meaning that the light tanks will lose a great amount of penetration at long range) so the light tanks would be able to play as a scout and also be able to defend them selfs in a close quarters combat. Hope you read this and maybe reply :)

Thank yoy for being youself. I knew I made a good choice in subbing to your twitch. I two years ago started playing World of tanks and absolutely loved it. I loved what the game offered and I highly enjoyed logging in and challenging myself to be a better player. in my humble opinion I don't quite like the tier 9 and 10 light tanks. I feel like this should stay at Teir 8. other than that I completely agree with your list and I would like to commend you on staying true to yourself and looking at both the good and the bad about the situation. I thank you so much for the quality content that you put out. I sadly have been playing World of Tanks a lot less recently due to some of these recent changes and Matchmaker and the light tanks. I I currently have about 15,000 battles on the North American server and all I want is for World of Tanks to feel like World of Tanks again. A place where everybody was enjoying not only the game but having fun with friends and competitive play against other clans Clans.
I know this was a bit lengthy of a comment but QB I would like to sincerely say once again thank you for being awesome and sharing some of your experiences in such a way that I would almost consider you a friend.

Game is moving too much into realm of "pay to win" than ever before. Yes it's a business but don't gouge!
it used to be "pay to win" back in the day(required premium for 3 man platoons, premium ammo costing only gold, ect.). I do however agree that they are moving back in that direction.
Maps are still an issue, the lack of diversity (they are all pretty much routed), HE mechanics are still a problem (no balance to them), Gold rounds need an adjustment(higher pen is nice, but they shouldn't also do more damage)

Quickybaby please encourage all your followers to start a moratorium on on buying anything that requires gold in any WG game. Including premium time. It will not be until WG sees how pissed the members are and we hurt them in the wallet for what has happened. I say not gold and ammo purchases for a 2 week to one month time period. Once WG sees their coffers hurt they will change the tank designs and start thinking of the greater good of the game. Either that or they will eventually go under. I like the game but this pay to win thing has to stop. Yes ok make the tanks to they are harder to pen but you should not have to buy premium ammo unless you are 2 tiers down. Also to have to buy a premium tank and run gold in it is so stupid. It has to stop. Please make a call across all your platforms so WG has to listen.

I stopped making any purchases after the Black edition tanks and been F2P since. 9.19 is frankly disgusting with premium equipment and uber premium consumables that requires people to play ranked mode.

Biggest issue is the +/-1 matchmaking. Putting tier V with tier VII is a joke. New players either encounter tanks they can't scratch or are put top of the board where they don't need to learn how to play properly in order to do well. The player base is more than big enough to support limiting the difference to 1 tier total (eg V/VI or VII/VIII), or even going to single tier. This would be especially beneficial at the lower tiers. Bonus: it fixes the issue with the preferential matchmaking tanks you've identified.
Just think about how much every KV2 driver who read this hopes that this would be a thing

I never really knew Foch or watched his content but checked him out on Twitch last night and the people in chat were so toxic and foul mouthed compared to QBs chat on Twicth. Also, Foch has a really bad potty mouth. Not my cup of tea. QB, Skill, Claus, even Dez... for me.
Wargaming should fix the balance of teams, for example what I see a lot is 1 team full of +-5K players and the other team has 3 unicorns. No wonder the 5K players lose.

With respect, I completely disagree. Getting into a bad team can be annoying, but I think skill based matchmaking could kill the random matchmaker. A system like that is easily abused (playing on other peoples account for example). A better idea would be:
1. Rewarding the best player(s) on the losing team if they were significantly better than the rest of their team.
2. Have a separate game mode with skill based MM. I hope the new ranked mode might fill this gap.
They already do, its called heroic contribution. If you get a major award during a game such as a top gun, high caliber etc you earn the same exp and credits as if you won. One of the single best features ever added to the game in my opinion.

Kinda like the SuperPershing was pre pen buff. If you wanted to be competitive in that tank you were forced to carry at least a 50/50 ap/apcr loadout because the base pen was jsut shit.
The chrysler has the same issue. With just AP its a mediocre HT with great front armor. But with apcr its broken.

Yeah, the gun would have been shit if it only shoots AP. Press 2 and you have a gun with epic gun handling, non-existent aim time, tier 10 level penetration and decent DPM.

We just wanted you to voice your opinion on a widely accessible channel and not just on reddit, because you are a very influential WoT youtuber with lots of subscribers who are very loyal to you -- I included -- and even towards Wargaming, being one of the only three people invited to the main WG Headquarters along with Jingles and Rita, and you guys were even able to directly suggest changes to various things such as map design, artillery, and many other issues of WoT.
That is why we've been infuriated by your lack of a desire to take a stand: because we know that Wargaming respects you a lot -- more so than an average wot youtuber, and that you should realize that whatever you say can be a great stone that you can throw in to pitch the balance of the state of things. If you did not take a stance, Wargaming might have thought that they might as well not respond to this as well, but you could, for the benefit of the community, be able to also voice out our complaints as well.
You are a community contributor.
Bridge the gap between Wargaming and its players.
Endorse wargaming to us and encourage us to buy their tanks, but make sure it is a two way relationship and you publicly voice out the concerns of the playerbase as well.

That list was everything I was thinking and I completely agree. The only thing that I'd add would be map variation as too many maps are copy-paste playstyle, either with a mid ridge or lanes. More LT and TD friendly maps with diverse playstyles are needed. Although this video is old, I'd like to say we still support you and will continue to do so, your content is unrivaled and we appreciate you speaking out like this.

I don't like the stun from arty. I feel like it is a nerf on heavy tanks or anyone in the open because you can end up with nerfed stats for the majority of the game.
Also I don't like that you can't platoon in arty. I've mostly stopped playing arty because why would I play arty alone when I could play another class with my friends.

Since the "nerf", I've been doing more damage than ever in my M44. Sure, I have less pen and a bit less avg damage, but with a fully maxed out crew and gun rammer, the rof is insane.

I was very early looking forward to the new Tier 10 Light Tanks and a significant reduction in the absolutely bizarre artillery in this tank game.
Honestly, I spent well in excess of 2000 (American) on this game in the last half year. However when I saw the "developers" gut the Tier 10s before even releasing them, and fail to do anything significant to address the ridiculous artillery in this TANK game I gave up.
I played 3 games after the patch. After seeing how crappy the developers treated us I said to heck with them.
I have a fantastic job. I have great money and much time. But trust me, you "developers" at WoT there are many, many recreational outlets for me. Bottom line, I dont need you and evidently you dont need me.

There are lots of things that i don;t like about the game that has changed but i have 2 major problems with wargaming right now 1st gold tanks they need to slow down i hate how many they add at a time the amount of tanks they release for gold or "pay to win" is ridiculous with the amount that come out they could of added entire tree lines like Japanese TDs and others my second problem is gold rounds i don't mind them being in the game but i feel there should be a cap on how much you can bring to battle depending on the tank of course because some people just load up premium only and it ruins my games this game is free to play and i've been playing since it was released live and it was good before and recently it has just been feeling like a paid for game you cant even say free to play anymore because if you try playing free you make little to any progress so please QuickyBaby read my comment and bring this up because every time i play i cant enjoy my self anymore the one tank i enjoyed most were my light tanks and now every single one has been nerfed I hope you read this and let me know what you think thanks !

I hate the thing that wargaming makes older premium tanks outdated, so that you have to buy newer ones to remain competitive... for example the t34 and the patriot, the is6 and the defender (even with better matchmaking)... if 2 equally skilled players meet with the earlier mentioned tanks on equal footing, 9/10 times the newer tank will win (lets give a chance to rng lol).

3. Stop the f..king shameless money grabbing that ruins the game, such as:
- making premium tanks better than non-premiums
- issuing tanks with no weakspots that cannot be penned from the front by same tier tanks without premium shells
- introducing new tank lines with op tanks and later nerfing them, to force players free xp themselves through new lines in order to be able to play with the new high tier op tanks before they're getting nerfed
- nerfing gun accuracy to make players miss more, and therefore spend more money on ammo
- removing large open maps where long battles were fought, to make the game faster and faster, so that players play more games and spend more money on premium ammo and consumables during the same time
- manipulating results through mm and rng to force players use more premium ammo and consumables in order to preserve their stats
- etc.

Csaba SCS Saw a few days ago a video from another WOT streamer and also a good player (Circonflexes) where he was showing an highlight moment of his stream (which i also saw live) where he had a nice game with kv-122 on highway. During the stream (and consequently on the highlighy video) he said the Highway map was 'shit' or anything like that and because of that he got the same adverts like foch. He just said 'shit' map and he was threatened by the same Ph3lan on geting copyright strikes and alse geting kicked from CC program... Dude what? Why WG?

I think that prem tanks should have an advantage over normal tanks cause if not. then what's the use of them? AND I'm not saying to make them op. I'm just saying have an advantage over other tanks to make it worth it's title as a premium tank. cause if not then what's the use? people will just ignore and get the normal tanks. but I'm saying this again. making them have an advantage doesn't mean that they make it op
I don't think WG should fire Phelan because he had admitted, apologized for it, and said he would change his ways and guaranteed that WG would not abuse copyright strikes to censor. But someone from NA threw fuel into the dying fire, and I think the person who had said they would do it, should be fired.
And also I do think prem tanks should not have any advantages because it already has some, it has a better credit coefficent, and that should only be the advantage it has.
Shih Town not really tbh. Still how are you supposed to make creds if in a tank you spent real money on just for that. Hell you can't just get a kv2 and fully load he and shoot all over the place. That on it's own will give hells of creds. And by advantages I didn't mean that it's invisible. For example a heavy tank should like have a slight better armor OR better speed. BUT doesn't mean it should be unpenable with normal rounds.

QuickyBaby, a big problem I face in the game and im sure many more do is that some tier 10 tanks are much stronger than others. For example the FV215b,yes it has a brilliant gun, but it lacks armor,mobility and just cant compete against a Type5 or a Maus. Whenever I come across a Type 5 in my FV I always have to switch to APCR because I just cant pen them with AP, and the worst thing is that they don't even have to aim to damage me,they just click and boom goes 800HP for example.This is very unfair and I would like if it changed!Another probem is that tier 10 tanks are not profitabe, on average I loose about 30.000 credits in a tier 10 game,yes I could buy a premium account but I cant afford to.Last but not least is that there is no Cypriot flag in the game,i find it disgraceful that they have flags such as turkeys in the game who isn't even in Europe but don't have the Cypriot one,thank you for reading and hope this gets to WG.

Keep doing what you are doing -- your video was quite honestly inspirational. I saw the post from WG NA that Jingles posted and was appalled -- but not surprised. There are too many in this world who too often use labels that have lost their true meaning - yet those labels set off firestorms that are uncontrollable. Too many react, too few think.
