Not that anybody cares here but I was cast in the play “Cyrano” and played this guy named De Valvert and I played him as closely to Duke Hardcore as I possibly could. Even the voice.
How this SHOULD have gone: "Hey this video goes over the line, please remove it or at least make it different and less toxic" "No" "Okay you are no longer a community contributor" "Ok" DONE
Uncle Andross I think Jim Fuckng Sterling, Son's version would involve them requiring that the Community Contributors set up a separate channel for their Seal Of Approval Community Contributed Videos and have the vids reviewed by WG *prior* to them being posted. In other words, make sure the barn door is closed *before* the horses get out. And have this in a legal contract from the start, with the agreement being a prerequisite of CC status. And the understanding that the rules only apply if you sign and only for official vids - nothing else would be covered, you can say whatever you want elsewhere. This would give them the control they need, and would lay the rules out in writing for everyone to see up front.
Well that is what they should have done from the start, yes. But since they didn't they should have rolled with the fallout of hiring a """"""""""salty"""""""""""" content creator, instead of this
Or you know maybe they should just watch the videos they have put out in the past and determine if they want to promote this type of video? Its not hard to not be stupid you just have to try a little.
Actually, it should have gone like this: WarGaming: (watches a vitriolic video from one of their community contributors angry about a new premium vehicle): 'Wow...maybe we went too far' Then they changed the vehicle to make it more fair. DONE
Ocrilat First of all I don't even know how SirFoch got community contributor status in the first place, all he does is go on profanity-laced tirades. Second of all, they can't change a premium tank after they sell it. That would be bait and switch.
Former WG EU employee here, trust me this office has always been plagued by incompetence they just reached a new level there with this Hungarian CM I personally don't know. Nice acting skills by the way I really enjoyed this video, I like how you get your facts straight. I used to be a big fan of the game but let's be honest it totally is a cash machine, a few players should be able to be honest and tell the truth about how extremely hard and painful it is to progress and unlock stuff without using real money for many different reasons.
Ya know, I'm completely fine with monetization in free to play games. Developers have to make money for their hard work, so it's all good..My problem is with pay to win mechanics. I don't understand what is so hard about monetizing a game without pay to win mechanics..It isn't all that hard to come up with some monetization ideas that still would allow them to bring in plenty of revenue..
I just want to point out that premium ammo thing used to be just that ammo for real money, but that was years ago now it just cost more in game currency that you earn playing battles.
CoffeeMusicGuy people hope desperately that the things they like are not bad and the people who make them are not bad so that they dont have to feel bad for liking them. people feel defensive of things they like and want to keep liking
This Is My Name confidence is always attractive (as long as it doesn’t turn into arrogance) regardless of a persons appearance. Like Buddy Love in the Nutty Professor remake said “No matter what, you’ve got to strut.”
17th Century Jim could be it's own series. Seriously, can we just have a weekly episode with Jim reading comments/emails from less than stable people for X minutes? Hell i'd PAY to see that!
Wizdavision Productions I Hate Everything (IHE) has a thing just like it called comment comeback (without the 17 century 'elite' gamer), The problem is people will just provide fake comments to get on the segment like they do for IHE.
Two weeks have passed... and to show just how sincere their apologies are, and just how much they have taken their customers' concerns about the premium culture to heart... Wargaming have just announced the release of ANOTHER high-powered "pay to progress" tank! As Jim once said, they wait for the anger to subside, and then carry on as before.
Foch should post a new vid, a polite and Disney friendly version that just shreds Wargaming to bits, but in a nice friendly tone. And when they try to take that one down for exposing their BS pay to win nonsense what excuse will they give?
bob mcbobbob What excuse? RUclips doesn't care if the company has a reason, they just allow the video to be taken down with no consequences. RUclips is fucked up like that
Honestly it looks more like they got rid of Foch to protect their brand and less to protect their alleged pay to win nonsense. ((Note: I have never even touched the game, lol)) I only say that because the only people I have seen get 'attacked' by Wargaming are people who were community leads/representatives on RUclips who took a very negative approach to dealing with Wargaming itself. I still don't agree with their decision for all the reasons pointed out in Jim's video, and I also think there's still a fair chance they're trying to squash criticism instead, but I know myself that companies are quick to defend their brand name a lot more than squashing criticism. It just so happens that their perceived 'brand attack' also had criticism in it about the game itself, so it's hard to distinctly tell what they're doing. Who knows.
To an extent you are correct. I suppose I did not convey my meaning well. Here is attempt 2. I meant that Wargaming has said/asserted that these community representative youtubers were representing them. Hence, their actions and words represented their brand to an extent. Therefore, if they make some really dumb joke they don't agree with then they may overreact because of brand control. I'm just saying, they may not be doing it very specifically to silence criticism of their gameplay itself, like the decision to release this premium tank. I'm not saying silencing criticism of a gameplay aspect and silencing someone saying "fuck wargaming" a lot are different when looking at 'brand control.' Understand what I mean now? I'm also not saying doing either of the above is cool or okay, especially not when said 'silencing' is done by abusing the youtube copyright system, threats, etc.
That's a better example, yes. Brand image control and censoring of negative critiques are VERY intertwined though. In this specific case, I'd say that argument can't be applied. SirFoch is afforded the same privilege as a games journalist would be given. That doesn't make them employees. What you're thinking of sounds more like Disney telling it's teen TV show actors to not drink, smoke, party, sex it up, etc. This situation is Wargaming saying "You shut the fuck up or we'll force you to shut the fuck up." If they actually cared about brand control, they'd just have to make a public statement. However, they are forcing someone to shut the fuck up. This is censoring, plain and simple.
For some reason Jim's humor never landed for me. I enjoyed (and still enjoy) his content, his podcasts, but the content he does for laughs? Never. And that's ok, it's just a different sense of humor than mine. Why am I mentioning this? Because the Duke segments have me in tears. Those ones landed. And landed hard. I love them. Thanks for adding the actual quotes on screen.
Dude, you don't know the fashion of XVIII. It was not uncommon for a gentleman to wear makeup, act softly and carry a sword around in case someone questioned threir manliness!
It's odd, it's completely the opposite for me. His humor has me in stitches, but the Duchess segments feel almost embarrassing for me. Still love Sterling though!
+Lord Cuthbert wouldn't need to go any further back for shit to get medieval, actually. 17th century was late medieval era. very cool time where we had full plate armor and muskets at the same time.
Wargaming has intimate financial connections with the Putin government. There, I said it. It's well known and not discussed openly, because the pro-Russia trolls arrive by the busload when you try. They let Maj. Nicholas "Chieftain" Moran, a former member of the Irish Army and a current OFFICER in the American Army crawl all over and INSIDE every single tank at the Kubinka Museum, which is (pointedly) located on a Russian military reservation with no guarantee of admittance: they've repeatedly closed it to ALL foreign personnel whenever there's a foreign policy pissing match and for many years Western citizens had to pay an exorbitant bribe (essentially) to have the FSB (successor to the KGB) check their identities before they'd be issued a pass to visit. Under NO circumstances were ANY visitors who weren't Russian military allowed inside the tanks. Only small tourist still cameras are allowed inside the building, definitely no movie cameras and they're very fucking serious about it. There are several accounts of covert cameramen (primarily the scale modeling nerds, bless their hearts, who regard Kubinka as a sort of holy grail) being accosted, questioned and having their cameras seized and deleted by FSB goons on site. They don't like or trust Westerners of any stripe and they don't want you there. I tried to get a permit to visit Kubinka three years ago and was told (by virtue of my 4-year teenage stint in the Army infantry) I need not waste my "application fee", as "Former NATO military personnel are ineligible for the security clearance necessary". Various other military history enthusiasts, some vastly more creditable and credited than myself (though, critically, none employed by Wargaming) received much the same run around (in various forms) and ultimately gave up trying. And then came Wargaming....and suddenly it's all flowers and daisies for an active Major in the American Army to crawl all over the Russian military's most coveted little prizes. Weird, huh? Putin's gangsteropolis runs on bribes. Don't encourage these greedy fucks.
Premium rounds for real money. Premium tank for real money. You can take it down with premium rounds which cost real money. Seriously. And some fanboys barking on anyone who said something bad about their's lovely game. I don't know what to say. HUMANITY!
Premium Ammo doesn't cost actual money unless you're stupid and forget to change it to costing silver. They just cost more in-game silver which means you need a premium tank or a premium account to make enough money if you use a lot of it. (Read: if you suck and spam premium ammo because you can't aim)
Exactly. You don't spam it, use it only for hard targets, and you'll make a profit even without premium tanks, or premium time. I only get my premium time from Ops rewards, and more than half my premium tanks were free giveaways or earned through game events.
@@Mr-Trox "They just cost more in-game silver which means you need a premium tank or a premium account to make enough money if you use a lot of it. " so... it only doesn't cost a lot of money... if you pay for an account that costs money, and buy a tank that costs money. right. I bet Trump has you on a list of people he wants to hire for the treasury department.
Will the new Jimquisition have a dlc season pass? In video currency you can spend on cosmetic borders and costumes for Jim? Will it have premium ammo in the form of throwable tomatoes?
Only if enough people pre-order. But if the crowd funding then goes through we can also get micro-transactions added allowing people to customize their throwable tomatoes.
Yep, this^ Unlike most games where that's true, this is par for the course. I suspect that this has something to do with the juxtaposition of war sim and history buff. They're coming into this (or warships) already having a favoured set of vehicles, *probably* read critiques about them already, both irl and the game, and want to prove "the whiny baby men just don't know how to play/counter them" See guys like that approaching 80%+ win ratios often. And yes the answer is often not that they're super good (though it will be near impossible to kill them for fresh players) but that they're essentially "spawn killing" noobs by sitting at tiers 1-4 in these dirty ass seal clubbing tanks. Imagine if you got xp for killing level 1-10 noobs in a normal MMO, and how many more people that would encourage to sit in the noob starting area to PK them.
Or he's one of those people that tie all of their self-worth into how good they are at one online game. That would also explain why he's so adamantly defending Wargaming in this.
Okay, this has nothing to do with the video or your comment, really, but I've seen your avatar, or the character in your avatar before, but I can't remember where from. It's driving me mad, so could you please fill me in?
Charles Britannia Prob like some random 15 yearold that never learned that there is other games then wot. My fav part is the esl meantion that games esl never took off its boring as piss to play and has a 25% rng on damage rolls, accuracy etc.
only if you like getting killed because someone went through one weakspot and killed you by damaging the exact same fucking thing over and over, because that makes sense
0.1% lol.. the pretentiousness. You'd think he'd have to play a lot more than 5 hours a day for that though. I mean those are casual scrub hours in any other competitive game.
I’m an actual wot player here, he could just be playing a few tanks that are op and seal clubbing. I once bought a kv220 reskin on console for 15 bucks because of the xp boosts they had going on. I played about 100 something games to get the boosts and currency...I had super unicum stats in the thing because it was easy to play (super unicum is what the best players are called) Im only above average wn8 with my account going into a better class when I actually play often. However, even I was able to seal club my way up a bit. TLDR: he stay pass by playing a few tanks he is good at because they are op.
World of Tanks is like an eight year old game now. 5 hours a day for a few years (and, as an ex-WoT player and current World of Warships player, you tend to play _only_ WoT/WoWS) and you can easily reach that level. Hell, I played the _console_ version for about three years solid, and stopped two years ago. I think that brought me to 30k battles.
Once again they end off on "appropriate actions" yet have no idea what they are. Using a copyright takedown to remove defamation is like telling authorities you were raped by someone who stole your car. Yes they're both illegal but it's not the same fucking thing.
and technically what wargaming did is industrial espionage since they also have a youtube channel and they are trying to destroy sirfoch's source of income
CaptainSauce I hope that RUclipsr's like yourself need to look out for these types of people who can use the broken system that is RUclips, #strengthinnumbers.
+Zayne Lendrum A fine sentiment but how many people actually do that? More to the point, what is you were 12 when you wrote it? Anyway, I realised I was remembering of one of Yahtzee's videos, not Jim's last one.
So how pissed do you think that weirdo who sent the "0.1%" email is right now? lol, great video man, I'm sad to see the theme go, but I trust your tastes...weirdly enough, I'm sure you'll find something great. Can't wait !
He must have some issues as is, raging with anger is probably not uncommon for him. Let's face it, in a game where you can only be in said 0.1% if you spent a ton of money on premium ammo (which drove me away from this game in the first place). At the very least he must have serious braindamage to be that stupid - heck, it's a wonder he could actually write that message at all. Though, not sure about Jim's... enaction not promting him being genuinely damaged either. Let's say he is under stress.
im not defending Wargaming in any way but idk when you played but it was changed a while ago that premium ammo just cost more normal credits then standard ammo, promoting usage still carefully but also made it so people who dont buy gold can still load some. like i said wargaming is still quite shit and ive quit the game because of the grinding.
The thing is nothing about the content of the video should matter in this case, Copyright Strikes are just for that: *Copyright* SirFoch never claimed he made WoT, he didn't use licensed music or video, even if you think the content crossed a line, a *COPYRIGHT* strike isn't the response to this, it's a gross abuse of a broken system
Thing is though, technically every publisher/developer has the right to take down someones video for showing content from their game. But no publisher or developer is stupid enough to do (well almost no one...) this as they know that videos on RUclips etc. is essentially free advertisment, and by taking down someone video creates a massive shitstorm that ultimately hurts the game.
He didn't even show a Wargaming product in his video, only a third party tool for comparing tank stats... Tanks that are part of our history and not the IP of Wargaming
Project ImProvement They dont. Fair use can work in content creators favor. A critique or parody of things such as gaming content? The creator of the critiqued property does not have a right to remove it. Youre simply wrong on that account.
These kinda people always think gameplay videos are their property since it's their game and therefore they can copyright strike it at any time for any reason, they think they're just allowing those videos to exist and by just saying "This has our copyrighted material in it" that they have the right to remove it at any time. Of course, they're wrong. Edit: Wow, wasn't even gameplay, there's literally no excuse.
My sibling really doesn't like Jim, but they dislike gamer elitism so much that they watched that entire bit willingly. This is my story and reasoning for agreeing with you.
While I dislike mocking one's audience, 17th Century Aristocrat Jim (who I shall henceforth refer to as "Jimoline") is a very entertaining character who deserves their own spinoff.
I mean, he didn't really mock that guy. He read the comment almost like for like. It's up to Jim what he wears while he does it. If he was going to mock them, he'd point out how fucking dreadful their grammar was. I really, really hate when people refuse to use "you're".
There's nothing wrong with mocking your audience if they're acting like idiots and/or you don't want people that can't take a joke in your fanbase anymore.
Did that hardcore gamer just say that "sure, they may be a bit dodgy sometimes" but then go on to defend them? What apologist crap. His entire argument is invalid and not just for that line alone.
I used to play a lot of WOT and I would read the forums he isn't the only one who will defend to the death wargaming but based on what I seen in the forums I wouldn't be surprised if that company employs shills to make themselves look good.
Yeah I mean, I could say I hate how Nintendo claims countless videos for showing their game play, but I definitely still consider myself a fanboy. I might consider that as Nintendo "being a bit dodgy". Not defending his side but you can't be sure what he was referring to when he said that.
Ev’ry action has its equal, opposite reactions Thanks to SirFoch, the game's fractured into factions Try not to crack under the stress, we’re breaking down like fractions We smack each other in the press, and we don’t print retractions. *eh, idk*
To that 0.1% Top Player of World of Tanks that sent that warning: You are one of the reason why Commentocracy now exists, and for that, I thank you, good sir. Thank you!
I looked up Drill Queen a while ago and they only ever put out one album with just three songs on it. They're all good songs and I'm pretty sure Jim's used all three of them quite a bit over the years but it would be nice to see what new he has up his sleeve for a proper Jimquisition intro.
I remember hearing Born Depressed on The Ricky Gervais Show when he worked for XFM. It was one of 3 songs that they bought in that people had sent them to get some exposure. This was back in like 2004 or some shit. Sad to see the song go, it was Iconic. That's real Iconic not Ubisoft iconic.
To be fair, Tank fest is a thing that has been going on since before world of tanks. it happens at Bovington tank museum, and is actually really fucking cool. Its just now Wargaming is one of their largest donator's.
That segment needs to be made mandatory viewing for all Wargaming players. Side note, Jim, if you read this, please tell me out of curiosity, now that you've had a taste of the WGing community (it appears you are slightly... shocked? by the attitudes expressed and sheer volume) how would you rate the WGing community say against the Nintendo Community? On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the Law Library at Yale and 1 being a group of monkey's throwing feces at each other.
I agree, The Duke will be a nice addition to Jim's repertoire of gag characters. The Duke fits right in with, The Corn Flakes Homunculus, Pog Fucker, Jimsaw and the Steam Cleaner.
As a [potentially former] player of World of Tanks I'll leave this comment for those that wish to know more about the economy of the game and why the Chrysler is such a pay to win tank. *Overview of the in game economy in WoT and what costs real money:* In WoT there are 10 tiers of tanks, you progress through tier 1 to 10 playing to earn experience to research modules (such as a better gun) and tanks. The progression in the tech tree (more so for tanks, not modules) is somewhat logarithmic (fairly fast to get to tier 4, starts to slow down at tier 5, fairly slow once you're at tier 7). So evidently people spend a good amount of time in the higher tiers to grind and because there are more players that know what they're doing. The game has a currency called credits, which is used to buy modules/tanks from the tech tree, ammunition, repair tanks after battle, etc. You receive credits from battles (amount based on if you win or lose and how well you did). Once you reach the higher tiers you can start to lose credits because when you do make a profit from a battle it's not enough to offset the amount you lose in other battles. You can buy 2 things to make more credits. Either you pay for a premium account (earn more credits and xp in any tank), which only lasts a certain amount of time, or you pay for a premium tank (such as the Chrysler) which earns more credits, and can really help train a crew for another tank. There's also 2 ways to pay for premium accounts/tanks real world money, or the gold in game currency (there are premium tanks that can only be bought with real money). Gold, the premium currency in WoT, can be earned by playing in tournaments, playing clan wars (if your clan chooses to give you gold), or by completing select missions that reward you with a low tier premium tank (if you already have the tank you get the gold that tank costs instead). You can also pay money to buy gold (paying money for gold is the only fast way to get the amount needed for a premium account/tank). Premium ammunition can either be payed for with gold, or with credits (usually 4 or 5 times more expensive than standard rounds I'd say). *Issue with the Chrysler:* The Chrysler is a premium tank, one that you can only buy with money. It has very good armor for it's tier and has no frontal weak spots. So in order to damage one frontally (in a lot of tanks it would see) you need to fire premium ammunition (some tanks it can see won't penetrate at all even with premium ammunition), which you will probably pay for with credits. It's too expensive to be firing all that premium ammunition so you either have to pay for a premium account/tank (probably paying money for it) or you don't fire premium ammunition making it easier for teams with a Chrysler on them to win. When you're in the Chrysler you'll probably be firing some premium ammunition yourself because the penetration is not good on the standard rounds. This makes it more difficult to make a profit, so on top of your premium tank you may also want to pay for a premium account to earn credits faster. So if you're against a Chrysler you need to pay to win. If you're in a Chrysler you are paying to win.
Quite the devious money grab, I must say. Somehow the same people who came up with this are fuckwits when it comes to community realations and copyright law.
Just want to add that: 1. No, you don't need to shoot premium tanks to actually fight tanks with good armor. There is a black magic called "flanking" which is definitely possible, especially when many heavy tanks players over extend themselves and therefore could be easily flanked. 2. You could finance high tier games by playing well, or by playing in mid tier where it will be always profitable anyway. So yeah, indeed WG free to play mechanic is not the best, but it was acceptable. They could actually improve it by changing how premium ammo works, but instead they destroyed it by starting to make premium tanks in par or even better than standard tanks, which destroyed the meta.
They are very good at squeezing every last drop out of everything and anything, the problem is they don't give a damn about how they treat their community. The 9.18 update was pretty much universally panned by the community, changing SPG's (the least liked vehicle class in the game) in what was supposed to be a nerf that ended up buffing them. They also butchered the Light Tank line, and the 'improved matchmaking' that was promised made literally no difference whatsoever. But they released it anyways.
zeroyuki922 I know you can flank, and I know you can grind credits in lower tiers. I was just trying to give a quick general overview of it. Besides, most decent players wouldn't let themselves be flanked (unless your team has already been over run) and a lot of people dislike playing low tiers.
Yep, pretty much. The split offices have no idea what each other are doing and making matters worse. The WG EU community manager basically wound up going on the forums and apologizing twice, because the first time he messed up his english and made it sound almost as bad if not worse the first time around (english is not his first language). On the flip side WG NA is a shitshow and WG RU is laughing its way to the bank. TBH i don't really even know of any big US/NA community contributors. It mostly seems to be in the EU. Cock ups like this in the PR department are probably why.
It's like being at work. (Wait, can they attribute comments to me? No good.) Yes just like work. They need to look at there recruitment criteria. Some common sense would be a good start.... oh and Hi Reload.
BillMcD Total lack of communication & cooperation is WG's speciallity.lol It happens all the time with them. Everything from this shit storm right down to even basic business like when to release stuff on sale, pricing, roll outs of updates. They even balls up NDA covered anouncements screwing over their own Community Contributers.
Holy shit, just hit that 17th century part. That character needs to make more appearances, it was literally perfect. Also, WoT has always been a pay to win system as highlighted by Premium Ammo. It is literally the definition of pay to win. I personally didn't mind because I'm not stupid enough to pay for it and I'm certainly not a 0.1% player, I just enjoy playing regardless of winning or losing. That said I haven't played for quite a long time, it may have changed.
And the defenders calling people "white knights"... ah I love it, these assholes have so overused the meme they don't have a clue what it means. No wonder they substitute in PC and SJW for every other word.
"The largest and most diverse audience of any game" They must range from normal/casual to ignorant, to repulsive, to toxic. This elitist is any of these but normal.
The eyes terrify me. Jim's usually wearing either glasses, a mask or a bag of cornflakes, so being subject to his unfiltered gaze scorches my unworthy casual-gamer soul.
Oh, Duc Amiel du H'ardcore is a splendid personality to be around. It is too bad that his highness is having a feud with Sir Foch at the moment. But we all know whose side the King of Cyprus is on!
I can't stop imagining some mom walking up to this playground with her kids and witnessing a full-grown man dressed as a fop cackling maniacally, screwing her face up a bit, tightening her grip on her kid's head, and promptly turning around and walking feverishly back from where she came.
LOVE your intro jim...As a matter of fact i love your whole channel...Please NEVER STOP being AWESOME... gaming needs guys like you... Thank god for Jim
Glad to see the divine Duke Amiel du H'ardcore grace us once more with his radiance. How long have you been waiting to portray such a supremely posh fop Jim?
Sorry Jim, I'm going to have to sue you. That aristocrat bit caused me great physical pain when it made my sides literally split. Edit: By recommendation of top men I also wish to issue a copyright complaint so that no one else gets injured. You should be thanking me for this.
WoT has a LOT of stats, and he likely is a top 0.1% player. What he has failed to realise is that the shitstorm isn't about Fochs criticism of the tank per se (which wasn't totally fair, sweariness aside. He exaggerated a few things a bit for effect) but that WG pulled out the inappropriate threat of issuing a copyright strike over it, which was massively disproportionate. And, y'know, proposing a (probably) illegal abuse of the YT system
Loved the 17th century aristocrat elite performance, and it worked much better with the text alongside. It drives home the comedic value of the joke because of the contrast: we can read the idiot's email and sense his wanker tone, while at the same time we see the aristocrat mocking those same words. Not sure why, but the text makes it more funny and enjoyable, I think because you're reading ahead a little so it works more as a parody than just the plain dialogue without seeing the original text. Anyway, well done, great video Jim, you're like a superhero of the gaming world, rescuing damsels and serving justice.
I just don't get the World of Tanks players' behavior here. Jim's not criticizing the game he's criticizing the company. A company or artist and their work are NOT the same thing. It is possible to make great work and be a terrible person/company. HP Lovecraft wrote awesome stories, but was also a massive racist. EA has made some good games over the years, but they're still one of the douchiest gaming companies ever. Fox has made great TV shows, but the way they treat the people making shows for them is often just plain scummy.
I wish people would stop using Lovecraft as the go-to example though. It's pretty obvious to me, and kind of sad, he lived in a "rougher" part of the city and his racism was fueled by loads of undiagnosed, untreated mental illness. Dude just needed a kindly black church lady nurse in his life. (Which was unfortunately impossible because this is still when Phrenology is considered real science) Meanwhile...most people have long since forgotten HG Wells' "Lord of the Dynamos," which shows why he rarely wrote human centred tales. He was a believer of Eugenics. Going from that into Moreau adds a pretty unsightly element to the "beastmen" And technically, with the exception of sports games, the last game EA actually made fully in-house was 007 Nightfire. They're really just the retail shelf mustache-twirly evil universe Valve these days.
@@Poglavnit_Pferdefuhrer Plus later on in life Lovecraft realized that being a massive racist is a morally bad thing and started trying to remedy that, but nobody ever mentions that.
@@buttahXD Well, I at least applaud him for TRYING to make amends for his racist cuntish ways, and I have a little more respect for him overall now. If I had known this sooner, that would have been great. Still, you cant entirely blame people for mentioning his sins.
They not only proudly would do so, they looked down their noses at everyone else who didn't have their W/L ratio (bearing in mind its a team game, giving you fourteen other people who have to carry weight too)
I don't understand why devs do this. You're going to make more people who are unsympathetic towards your side and more subs/attention for people like SirFochs. They were better off leaving this issue alone. Do they not understand how the Internet works?
I have to admit I keep watching this video not beacause I perpendicularly like the subject, I just love 17th century Aristocrat Jim Starling, or as I have dubbed him Sir Jim IV, Lord of the Gazebo.
If you haven't seen it already The Mighty Jingles talked also about it in today's Mingles with Jingles. Edit: Jingles had not seen the reply of WG NA, so when he did he made a new video today and he stepped out of the EU community program.
He was prepared to step out the community contributer program and actually was preparing a statement to WG about that when he was asked to take a skype call from one of the higher up guys in WG. Who apologized about it all and made the statement that as long as he is with the company no copyright strike will be done to youtubers.
I'm a Boglin U hate to piss on your parade, but even marvel and dc have fucked up shit in their comics. It isn't just Japan. And I highly doubt you even know what a weeabo is. you're just throwing the word around to get likes in the comment section.
Girls und Panzer is awesome: and I love that it's an actual thing. ^_^ Though my more favored military-themed anime/manga/multi-media series is Strike Witches. Love Strike Witches.
Oi...How exactly does someone liking Girls und panzer or Strike Witches equates to someone being a pedophile? Logically that is a nonsensical false equivalence: besides most of the characters in strike witches are about high school age or are in fact age of consent, and it's much more tasteful and even in it's fan service then most other ecchi anime series. Girls und Panzer doesn't even have too much ecchi fan-service in it. Also: they are 2D animated constructs; not real human beings so even if we were to even try to get into some kind of peado-hunt argument it's also (still) a false equivalence and is nonsense logic and bullshit moralizing since such "outrage" is misdirected at best and best spent going after actual child predators and after actual pedophile materials of actual flesh and blood children being exploited and targets and abused instead of wasting, time, money, effort and "outrage" on nonexistent media character constructs that only ever existed as drawings and cell shades and as a construct entity in a creators head space. All Strike Witches is about is a bunch of magical girls fighting aliens using magi-tech in the 1940's and Girls und Panzer is about high-school girls on a ship partaking in a martial arts sport using tanks. In either series we don't see the girls involved in any kind of sexual interactions with anyone and the most you can argue is a bit of skinship and occasional ecchi scenes between the girls themselves, and even then: so what? A scantily clad or naked high school girl into and of itself does not equal 'pedophile' and that's a ridiculous conclusion to even consider drawing; much less if that girl exists as nothing more then ink lines on paper or cell shaded textures on a computer. I mean hell with strike witches because the girls are in a world and have societies where girls and young women are walking around in pantsu and it's considered a socially acceptable norm (like how bikini's in the 1940's were normalized socially) it's gotten to the point where many of the fans and viewers of the series are frankly desensitized to it and take it as 'normal' and not something to loose your minds over. As for Kanti Collection: it's a neat idea and concept but frankly as an anime it was horribly executed and is comparatively to strike witches somewhat an inferior Mecha Musume Magical girl military series.
He's only shown up three times so far, and already the Duke Du H'Ardcore has become one of my favourite things about the show. Well, him and RRRROYYYYSTON, obviously.
I think it is too much. It is Jim's show but it is way too much to be something that we see every single week and we have seen quite a bit of it lately. Now topping it off with the awesome theme music going away it makes things even worse. What next? Is he going to get rid of the mocking the Nazis deal?
We are the silent rage of the darkness in our hearts. we are to the evil of this world what the Catholic church is to child abuse. we are one, never sleeping, ever watching. we are jim fuck konami praise the lord
I beg to differ. That Jim even knows what Girls und Panzer is (maybe he's watched it, and maybe not), is part of the reason I clicked this video. Another reason being Jim's tirades are just entertaining.
Jim you should contact Themightyjingles. he just put out a video that he says hes done with the community contributor program and pointed out that wg eu has given EVERYONE permission to make content with their game.
Right but in that same video he basically said it doesn't matter what the EU's stance is on censorship because they can't do shit if Wargaming NA and Wargaming Russia decide to knock on your door and basically say "hey we don't like what you just said so we're gonna make your life a living hell until you listen to us". Wargaming really screwed the pooch here. They showed they have a terrible structure of communication and this is gonna bite them in the ass hard.
So I literally just finished watching last week's video when this one was published. After being traumatized by the ending of the last ep I was on guard for the aristocrat bit again AND IT FKN HAPPENED I KNEW YOU WOULD DO IT AND YOU DIDN'T SCARE ME THIS TIME
Jim Sterling is one of the greatest RUclipsrs of all time and that is a scientific fact because you read it on the internet right here
Oh hey! Fancy seeing you here!
Dan Bull you should make a sterling rap
Dan Bull oh damn its Dan Bull
Whoa, Dan Bull! *takes a picture!*
Will the new theme song be by Dan Bull? :o
I want Jim's portrayal as an aristocrat to be a main villain in an RPG.
kingnitros Voiced by Jim, of course
Late reply, but the voice reminded me a lot of Professor Pyg from Arkham Knight
Not that anybody cares here but I was cast in the play “Cyrano” and played this guy named De Valvert and I played him as closely to Duke Hardcore as I possibly could. Even the voice.
YES
He might fit in a bloodborne like theme.
How this SHOULD have gone:
"Hey this video goes over the line, please remove it or at least make it different and less toxic"
"No"
"Okay you are no longer a community contributor"
"Ok"
DONE
Actually, it should have gone like this:
WarGaming: (watches a vitriolic video from one of their community contributors angry about a new premium vehicle): 'Wow...maybe we went too far'
Then they changed the vehicle to make it more fair.
*sees another ad of WoT*
kill me
Took a long time to get my first tier X. Remember grinding a T25 for hours to get credits for that amx50B
*THEN THE SWEDES SHOWED UP*
Ya know, I'm completely fine with monetization in free to play games. Developers have to make money for their hard work, so it's all good..My problem is with pay to win mechanics. I don't understand what is so hard about monetizing a game without pay to win mechanics..It isn't all that hard to come up with some monetization ideas that still would allow them to bring in plenty of revenue..
@@doomslayer163 yeah. Like.. . APCR ammo? Premium already are hard to deal with, but this? This is just ridiculous
Wow... Horse armor has certainly gotten complex these days.
Horse armor: now available in bullet size
But you cannot ride it. That, much like modeling women moving in games, it too much for our current technology.
I just want to point out that premium ammo thing used to be just that ammo for real money, but that was years ago now it just cost more in game currency that you earn playing battles.
These are Hor$iz, they're premium mounts.
... but you CAN still pay real money for it.
I don't get why people who are a fan of something blindly accept everything the creator of that thing does.
CoffeeMusicGuy *cough cough Nintendrones*
"Sell us your house" Okay ...
CoffeeMusicGuy people hope desperately that the things they like are not bad and the people who make them are not bad so that they dont have to feel bad for liking them. people feel defensive of things they like and want to keep liking
You can't spell "fanatical" without "fan". Just saying.
CoffeeMusicGuy pretty sure fan literally is short for fanatic.
"SirFock, whose name is pronounced SirFoche, but I started calling him Fock and now I can't stop" Remains my favourite part to this day.
I think mine is "SirFoch me Foch me say that you'll Foch me."
Aristocrat Jim is fabulous.
Jim is so flamboyant and confident that he's honestly very attractive.
That isn't Jim, silly, that is Duke Amiel Du H'ardcore
This Is My Name confidence is always attractive (as long as it doesn’t turn into arrogance) regardless of a persons appearance. Like Buddy Love in the Nutty Professor remake said “No matter what, you’ve got to strut.”
We need Classical 17th Century Jim to be a thing. It's fantastic.
17th Century Jim could be it's own series. Seriously, can we just have a weekly episode with Jim reading comments/emails from less than stable people for X minutes? Hell i'd PAY to see that!
Acting 10/10.
Would pouder my face again!
Is there anywhere we can a sign a petition to make this happen? Change.org maybe?
Wizdavision Productions I Hate Everything (IHE) has a thing just like it called comment comeback (without the 17 century 'elite' gamer), The problem is people will just provide fake comments to get on the segment like they do for IHE.
I like this. Video game reviews need more 17th century aristocrats. "Come to the gazebo! I Roasted the casual but good!"
subtitles made it great ! especially for non english speakers like me
17th Century Aristocrat Jim is my favourite Jim, would buy the Amiibo, optional skins, intro video and themed mount.
Would you buy the premium ammo?
I want to use 17th century jim amiibo in breath of the wild, I wonder what it'd give me.
Kazekai premium ammo
I preorder all my Jims in case they become exclusive.
fuck you they don't sell them in my country D:
Two weeks have passed... and to show just how sincere their apologies are, and just how much they have taken their customers' concerns about the premium culture to heart... Wargaming have just announced the release of ANOTHER high-powered "pay to progress" tank!
As Jim once said, they wait for the anger to subside, and then carry on as before.
So my takeaway from this was to write complaints to Jim Sterling as foppishly as humanly possible.
((Note: I have never even touched the game, lol))
I only say that because the only people I have seen get 'attacked' by Wargaming are people who were community leads/representatives on RUclips who took a very negative approach to dealing with Wargaming itself.
Who knows.
"defend their brand name a lot more than squashing criticism."
...Dude... That's the same thing.
This situation is Wargaming saying "You shut the fuck up or we'll force you to shut the fuck up."
If they actually cared about brand control, they'd just have to make a public statement. However, they are forcing someone to shut the fuck up. This is censoring, plain and simple.
My hat is off to your fantastic performance in the gazebo.
Well done sir!
Aristocrat now has to be a thing forever please
For some reason Jim's humor never landed for me. I enjoyed (and still enjoy) his content, his podcasts, but the content he does for laughs? Never. And that's ok, it's just a different sense of humor than mine.
Why am I mentioning this? Because the Duke segments have me in tears. Those ones landed. And landed hard. I love them. Thanks for adding the actual quotes on screen.
Duke? He is a beautiful Duchess!
Personally the only bits I've found really funny so far are the Cornflake Homunculus, which I fear says a lot about me.
It's probably because his power level is over 5000. You aren't even able to comprehend it.
I subscribed just because the way you roasted that arrogant emailer with that 17th century aristocrat. EPIC.
This ^
just wait for the 12th century aristocrat when shit gets medieval
+Lord Cuthbert
wouldn't need to go any further back for shit to get medieval, actually.
17th century was late medieval era. very cool time where we had full plate armor and muskets at the same time.
Gary! hahaaa GaaaarY
not gonna lie assumed the renaissance _was Distinct_* from medieval era, one smart Gary!
25 minute jimquisition? oh hell yes
forgive me good sir
Shit, I've been here that long?
WHAT YEAR IS IT?
Tanks for nothing, Wargaming!
Tank God for Jim Sterling.
Wargaming risked *tanking* its reputation with this move.
They'd better *tread* lightly from now on.
Geez. Stop Panzering for attention. j/k
All of you should cease to exist just for those puns.
There's no need to feel that Bradley! Sherman, these puns are bad, but it takes a certain calibre of person to go through with them.
thank god for jim fucking sterling son
I sure hope that Wargaming doesn't try to attack ol' Jim, or they're gonna find out that the Jimquisition is the most overpowered tank in the game!
Kyuubi Von Kaiser this is the gayest thing I've read
Lol. XD
I’ve read gayer
Cannot put how amazing Jim looked as an Aristocrat. Like, seriously. I want to see more.
Ruth Snape
Wish granted.
I wonder what people walking through that park thought seeing Jim.
'Oh look, it's Jim' Probably:)
"What the f-... oh its just jim again."
"Wave to Mr. Sterling, kids."
"Thank God for Him", obviously
"Oh look. Its that crazy guy who yells and complains about video games. Just ignore him kids. He does this all the time"
Premium rounds for real money. Premium tank for real money. You can take it down with premium rounds which cost real money. Seriously. And some fanboys barking on anyone who said something bad about their's lovely game. I don't know what to say. HUMANITY!
Reminds me of the EA CEO that wanted to make people pay a dollar to reload.
That's not really how it works, tbh.
Hell, just pay close attention to the few gameplay clips in this video, it's a HP-based game.
@@Mr-Trox
"They just cost more in-game silver which means you need a premium tank or a premium account to make enough money if you use a lot of it. "
so... it only doesn't cost a lot of money... if you pay for an account that costs money, and buy a tank that costs money.
right.
I bet Trump has you on a list of people he wants to hire for the treasury department.
17th Century Aristocrat is your best new character in recent memory - and I REALLY like cornflake homunculus.
Give Jim Fucking Sterling an Oscar for the 17th century rendition of the email. Can I give you two thumbs up?
Will the new Jimquisition have a dlc season pass? In video currency you can spend on cosmetic borders and costumes for Jim? Will it have premium ammo in the form of throwable tomatoes?
And Drill Queen song as pre-order bonus.
I think offering the internet the ability to dress Jim would be more terrifying than anything his own warped imagination could come up with!
Only if enough people pre-order. But if the crowd funding then goes through we can also get micro-transactions added allowing people to customize their throwable tomatoes.
and have premium ammunition as well, rotten tomatoes
wait - the rotten tomatoes aren't going to be premium ammo? Bloody hell, I thought this job load I just bought was going to make me all the money.
The fact that the o.1% player was mentioning how good he is and how he shows off how much he plays shows he's probably a noob.
Joseph N
He is more likely to be a stat padder by seal clubbing with one or two OP tanks.
Yep, this^
Unlike most games where that's true, this is par for the course.
I suspect that this has something to do with the juxtaposition of war sim and history buff.
They're coming into this (or warships) already having a favoured set of vehicles, *probably* read critiques about them already, both irl and the game, and want to prove "the whiny baby men just don't know how to play/counter them"
See guys like that approaching 80%+ win ratios often.
It actually undermines his arguments, since it shows he has an interest in one party winning. He's not impartial.
Thats debatable. However if he is pathetic, is not.
Or he's one of those people that tie all of their self-worth into how good they are at one online game. That would also explain why he's so adamantly defending Wargaming in this.
OMG! I loved that email reading so much. I nearly had tears!
I'm starting to think Jim's just looking for excuses to dress up
Think? That's almost a guarantee.
I see no problem with this.
Uh...Welcome to the channel? xD
we all look for reasons to dress up
You say that as if its a bad thing.
9:58 Why is Granny Goodness yelling at me about tanks?
Now I want him to amass an elite squad of Furies. We'll start with Laura Kate Dale, the Queen of Butts, and build from there.
Shit, now I really want to see him play Granny Goodness for real.
I have to wonder what passers-by were thinking while Jim (sorry, 'Duke Amiel du H'ardcore') was filming that bit...
I'm rather curious about that too.
Jim Fucking Snow Son
Okay, this has nothing to do with the video or your comment, really, but I've seen your avatar, or the character in your avatar before, but I can't remember where from. It's driving me mad, so could you please fill me in?
EarlnEarl its from a hentai called euphoria
+Edgy McEdgeface
Nice profile picture. Where's it from?
+LordVader1094 A lovely game by the name of Euphoria.
LordVader1094
Euphoria is a pornographic video game, too.
And now the loop repeats.
That email is hilarious. It's like a mix between game of thrones and the Navy Seals copy pasta.
Charles Britannia Prob like some random 15 yearold that never learned that there is other games then wot.
My fav part is the esl meantion that games esl never took off its boring as piss to play and has a 25% rng on damage rolls, accuracy etc.
good isnt it. Good points as well. I think i got him Kek
*World of Tanks finishes downloading*
*Sees and watches new episode*
*Uninstalls World of Tanks*
Hylian Jim then try War Thunder. It's WoT's main rival
I'm a casual player but I have found War Thunder pretty fun so far.
Armored Warfare? Run by better devs? haha, not anymore. Mail.ru kicked Obsidian entertainment off of the project a while ago. RIP.
War Thunder is crap in comparison to World of Tanks. WOT is the king of all tank games.
only if you like getting killed because someone went through one weakspot and killed you by damaging the exact same fucking thing over and over, because that makes sense
0.1% lol.. the pretentiousness. You'd think he'd have to play a lot more than 5 hours a day for that though. I mean those are casual scrub hours in any other competitive game.
It's scrub hours in WoT also. He is a scrub gamer in general.
I’m an actual wot player here, he could just be playing a few tanks that are op and seal clubbing.
I once bought a kv220 reskin on console for 15 bucks because of the xp boosts they had going on. I played about 100 something games to get the boosts and currency...I had super unicum stats in the thing because it was easy to play (super unicum is what the best players are called)
Im only above average wn8 with my account going into a better class when I actually play often.
CaptainSauce and i dont think it even qualifies as difamation
CaptainSauce I hope that RUclipsr's like yourself need to look out for these types of people who can use the broken system that is RUclips, #strengthinnumbers.
Keep the aristocrat character, please.
he's definitely doing more that's why he's asking for more comments to his email haha
Guido Bos The superior "Internet Aristocrat."
You are not anonymous on the internet. If you don't stand by the things you say, you shouldn't say them.
+Zayne Lendrum A fine sentiment but how many people actually do that? More to the point, what is you were 12 when you wrote it? Anyway, I realised I was remembering of one of Yahtzee's videos, not Jim's last one.
Keep the aristocrat and have a backup group of nobles that laugh when he does.
Jim, Amiel is your greatest creation yet. I think he even trumps the cornflake homunculus.
p.s have you lost even more weight? Looking good, Jim.
ScattySafari How can you say that nothing tops cornflakes homunculus he is our beloved mascot
The more British the better.
My favorite part of the email is the "Feel free to message me or whatever" fucking, gold.
So how pissed do you think that weirdo who sent the "0.1%" email is right now? lol, great video man, I'm sad to see the theme go, but I trust your tastes...weirdly enough, I'm sure you'll find something great. Can't wait !
Man I could imagine the WoT community in Facebook, DeviantArt, Twitter, and those shitty forums destroying their miniature tanks in berserk.
Haha, I watched that bit like 4 times just thinking "oh man, this guy who wrote this is definitely watching this right now..." lol good god
What drove me off was that he bragged about being an ESL player..
You know, becausethe competitive scene deserves to have such a mature representation
im not defending Wargaming in any way but idk when you played but it was changed a while ago that premium ammo just cost more normal credits then standard ammo, promoting usage still carefully but also made it so people who dont buy gold can still load some. like i said wargaming is still quite shit and ive quit the game because of the grinding.
Youre simply wrong on that account.
nothing to add, wim j and gamezpdd are totally right here. especially the part that losely stated "NOT EVEN FUCKING GAMEPLAY"
A salute to drill queen
I wish I lived in Jim's neighborhood just to occasionally see him out and about filming himself doing wacky shit.
Never retire the 17th Century aristocrat.
Here here!
My sibling really doesn't like Jim, but they dislike gamer elitism so much that they watched that entire bit willingly. This is my story and reasoning for agreeing with you.
Jim Fucking Sterling, son, I Patreon and it is well worth, retroactively, further appearances of Lord Fop ™ !
for real, add a horrifically ruffly shirt
While I dislike mocking one's audience, 17th Century Aristocrat Jim (who I shall henceforth refer to as "Jimoline") is a very entertaining character who deserves their own spinoff.
He's Duke Amiel du H'Ardcore
I mean, he didn't really mock that guy. He read the comment almost like for like. It's up to Jim what he wears while he does it.
If he was going to mock them, he'd point out how fucking dreadful their grammar was. I really, really hate when people refuse to use "you're".
It's Jim's Sex-E Coco.
There's nothing wrong with mocking your audience if they're acting like idiots and/or you don't want people that can't take a joke in your fanbase anymore.
Damian Freeman hes a Duke and ill thank you to refer to him as such :P
Aristocratic Jim is best Jim.
GOD FUCKING DAMNIT that intro allways gets me fist bumping
Nicolas Boissiere fist bumping? Like, the replacement for hand shakes?
No more Drill Queen? **sheds a manly tear and then a lot more tears**
All good things comes to end one day. big salute to Drill Queen ( ಥ_ಥ)‾/

Just so we're on the same page none of this was the Girls und Panzer girls' fault.
Protect the anime AT ALL COSTS. Without it I would cry like myself on prom night.
Sure it was. Hana ate Wargaming EU's food.
GuP was shit. of course it made WoT just that little bit more worse.
PaceBreaker Productions the admin on the forum are bunch of dicks
DukeWooze It's a Russian-spirited game company. May I say more?
Yeah I mean, I could say I hate how Nintendo claims countless videos for showing their game play, but I definitely still consider myself a fanboy. I might consider that as Nintendo "being a bit dodgy".
Not defending his side but you can't be sure what he was referring to when he said that.
Ev’ry action has its equal, opposite reactions
Thanks to SirFoch, the game's fractured into factions
Try not to crack under the stress, we’re breaking down like fractions
We smack each other in the press, and we don’t print retractions.
*eh, idk*
To that 0.1% Top Player of World of Tanks that sent that warning: You are one of the reason why Commentocracy now exists, and for that, I thank you, good sir. Thank you!
Well! It's here...
So...
...Fuck Wargaming...
and
Thank God For Jim Sterling
SHADE A.I Gaming Chamber
*Correction: "Thank God for Jim Fucking Sterling, Son." ;)
17th century aristocrat NEEDS to become a part of this channel for eternity :D
This, minus "I'd never thought I'd say this"
Agreed. I'd tap that.
No, that guise was CANCER.
And Wargaming might be shitty, but arson?
Matthew Abban you're right..we need more love
Still a better Joker than Jared Leto
I'm going to miss Born Depressed, it's a good tune. Well, Life is change.
I looked up Drill Queen a while ago and they only ever put out one album with just three songs on it. They're all good songs and I'm pretty sure Jim's used all three of them quite a bit over the years but it would be nice to see what new he has up his sleeve for a proper Jimquisition intro.
It is a good song, but it's not disappearing from the internet. I just wish it were on spotify.
I already miss it.
1: find a download of Born Depressed
2: put it in your music folder
3: activate it the local music bit of your Spotify
Y'alls is welcome
I remember hearing Born Depressed on The Ricky Gervais Show when he worked for XFM. It was one of 3 songs that they bought in that people had sent them to get some exposure. This was back in like 2004 or some shit. Sad to see the song go, it was Iconic.
That's real Iconic not Ubisoft iconic.
To be fair, Tank fest is a thing that has been going on since before world of tanks. it happens at Bovington tank museum, and is actually really fucking cool. Its just now Wargaming is one of their largest donator's.
Jim, please never stop doing the Duke's segments. They are amazing 🙌
Jim said on twitter that most of the communication from WoT fans had been rather polite and well-worded, just that it was exhaustive and voluminous.
Stephen Sawka ik
I am fucking slain. Good GOD LMAO
*Overview of the in game economy in WoT and what costs real money:*
In WoT there are 10 tiers of tanks, you progress through tier 1 to 10 playing to earn experience to research modules (such as a better gun) and tanks.
*Issue with the Chrysler:*
The Chrysler is a premium tank, one that you can only buy with money.
Just want to add that:
Thanks, it's a little hard to follow all this since I've never played, and after hearing that I'm no longer too tempted to try it.
Wargaming EU "We fucked up"
Wargaming US "Hold my beer! We got this"
Some time later: Wargaming US "The fuck...this guys asked for proof...shit!"
ROFLMAO
Hi Dave :)
Olivia Lambert Jim and his completely over the top sketches. I also enjoy just playing WoT, but the progression is sometimes pretty slow.
Wargaming crying slander while calling someone a homophobe and a hate speaker without any evidence. Kek
I didn't actually think about that angle. Damn thats low. Poor Foch.
Ironically setting the grounds for a counter suite for defamation.
Sounds like the entire left.
Ralin well.... that didn't come out quite as , shall we say, right
*harr harr*
And the defenders calling people "white knights"... ah I love it, these assholes have so overused the meme they don't have a clue what it means. No wonder they substitute in PC and SJW for every other word.
Chains of Love started playing on the TV's music channel while watching this. I shit you not.
Dakota Moore that shit made my day
"The largest and most diverse audience of any game"
They must range from normal/casual to ignorant, to repulsive, to toxic. This elitist is any of these but normal.
There are so many elitist sh*t heads on that game..It is the reasons I don't play it..
25 minutes of Jimquisition with a prequel leading up to this. This must be exciting
This new character is delightfully traumatizing
I allready fapped 10x to it.
He is not a character, he is REAL
Yeah, not my proudest wank; well, not since watching The Golden Girls marathon.
I can't stop imagining some mom walking up to this playground with her kids and witnessing a full-grown man dressed as a fop cackling maniacally, screwing her face up a bit, tightening her grip on her kid's head, and promptly turning around and walking feverishly back from where she came.
Good. Teaches the woman how to parade her chroshgobling around on an otherwise great sunday afternoon.
LOVE your intro jim...As a matter of fact i love your whole channel...Please NEVER STOP being AWESOME... gaming needs guys like you... Thank god for Jim
Thanks for making this! From a Homophobic hate speaker!
Foch is so good at this that he even made Wargaming salty. Are we going to see a "TheFochYou Goes Ham!" video some time soon?
#FreeFoch
What's up Foch
Gosh Foch, I sure hope they have some evidence of that extremely defamatory implication that they made. Wouldn't it be terribly ironic if they didn't?
You have said FU WG, I´ve just done that. it is quite easy, just stop playing that game :) .i.. WG
When you hear that chains of love cover, you know Jim's on the war(gaming) path
Glad to see the divine Duke Amiel du H'ardcore grace us once more with his radiance.
How long have you been waiting to portray such a supremely posh fop Jim?
*H'ardcore*
I'm fucking dying
Is SirFoch related to Fred Fucks?
I think Fred Fucks is his uncle.. Good ol' Uncle Fucks..lol
SirFoch me foch me say thay you'll foch me.
Sorry Jim, I'm going to have to sue you. That aristocrat bit caused me great physical pain when it made my sides literally split.
Edit: By recommendation of top men I also wish to issue a copyright complaint so that no one else gets injured. You should be thanking me for this.
junkmutt I'm sure Leonard can give you a referral to one of his colleagues.
Dude. Don't you know ANYTHING about how this works? You need to threaten a copyright complaint.
"Royston! Royston! Fetch the police! The filthy casual wants to sue me."
I believe you mean the constable, yes?
i think he laughed so hard until he injured himself. chill guys. it is a joke
"Just to be clear, I am a top 0.1% player of this game."
BAHAHAHA better listen to that guy he has a bigly fantasy e-peen rating XD
Harold Allaster Oddly enough 0.1% is usually the amount of bacteria that's left over after using discinfecting products.
Must been a FAME member...
Harold Allaster no one says they are in the 0.1 percent unless they have a tiny wang
God that guy is a fucktard. XD
Anyway, well done, great video Jim, you're like a superhero of the gaming world, rescuing damsels and serving justice.
dont forget to thank the brilliant author
Random guy number 69 Thank you brilliant author! The laughs were much appreciated.
People are moronic shitheads what else is new?
I wish people would stop using Lovecraft as the go-to example though.
It's pretty obvious to me, and kind of sad, he lived in a "rougher" part of the city and his racism was fueled by loads of undiagnosed, untreated mental illness. Dude just needed a kindly black church lady nurse in his life. (Which was unfortunately impossible because this is still when Phrenology is considered real science)
Meanwhile...most people have long since forgotten HG Wells' "Lord of the Dynamos," which shows why he rarely wrote human centred tales. He was a believer of Eugenics.
Going from that into Moreau adds a pretty unsightly element to the "beastmen"
And technically, with the exception of sports games, the last game EA actually made fully in-house was 007 Nightfire.
"I am a top 0.1% player.... I roasted the casual!"
I can't stop laughing
It's sad to hear Drill Queen go for the moment, but we shall see what the future holds...
It is devastating to hear it go and it worries me that the whole poke fun at Nazis theme is going to go too.
Jim, should you ever return to this subject please, please, please mention that the 0.1% types in that game refer to themselves as "Unicums."
Watch out guys! We got an unicum over here!
We better uninstall quick!
They not only proudly would do so, they looked down their noses at everyone else who didn't have their W/L ratio (bearing in mind its a team game, giving you fourteen other people who have to carry weight too)
You can't make that shit up.
That's beyond hilarious.
'unicum' is also a transliteration from the Russian of 'the unique one'

Shout-out to Jim for going out in that outfit in Mississippi. Dude, it's like upper 80's to 90° right about now.
I don't understand why devs do this. You're going to make more people who are unsympathetic towards your side and more subs/attention for people like SirFochs. They were better off leaving this issue alone. Do they not understand how the Internet works?
WoT in tarnation
Hejty Skočdopole ................fuck, that was clever.
Hejty Skočdopole Well said.
Michael Chiappi no u
You Wot mate? Why are you telling someone to commit suicide over a joke?
Hejty Skočdopole you win best pun of the week, sir. As well as best meme application of the fifteen minutes
I have to admit I keep watching this video not beacause I perpendicularly like the subject, I just love 17th century Aristocrat Jim Starling, or as I have dubbed him Sir Jim IV, Lord of the Gazebo.
Aristo-Jim may be my favorite character.
You know nothing Jim Fucking Snowling Son my Ratatta is in the top 0.1% of Rattata.
*I always had a bad feeling about these games but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.* Now I definitely can.
Wrath Is Me again this is not really about the game but the company and what they did
Duke Amiel Du H'Ardcore is my new favorite smug anime girl

How do you pronounce your name?
Deity1 David.
This is almost 2 years late but that “SirFoch me gently” really got me
If you haven't seen it already The Mighty Jingles talked also about it in today's Mingles with Jingles.
Edit: Jingles had not seen the reply of WG NA, so when he did he made a new video today and he stepped out of the EU community program.
MrSnakeCake how was it? I hope he was as tough as he was with WT.
Todd the Wraith Have they? If did and ensured they won't repeat it fine. Else, non apology.
he quits being wargaming community contributor
He was prepared to step out the community contributer program and actually was preparing a statement to WG about that when he was asked to take a skype call from one of the higher up guys in WG.
Who apologized about it all and made the statement that as long as he is with the company no copyright strike will be done to youtubers.
Yeah, I think Jingles was quite fair in his take on the issue.
Yay for Katyusha thumbnail
Hanna-Justina Wallia Rosalind Sieglinde Marseille : yes I also agree with that sentiment ^~^
weeb lets unite ^_^d
I'm a Boglin Jim Sterling quick its a boglin! :o
I'm a Boglin U hate to piss on your parade, but even marvel and dc have fucked up shit in their comics. It isn't just Japan.
And I highly doubt you even know what a weeabo is. you're just throwing the word around to get likes in the comment section.
Agreed
disclaimer: girls und panzer has no affiliation with wargaming.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around Girls und Panzer being an actual thing...
Perry Martin anything can be a thing in a world where kantai collection is a thing.
Girls und Panzer is awesome: and I love that it's an actual thing. ^_^
Though my more favored military-themed anime/manga/multi-media series is Strike Witches.
As for Kanti Collection: it's a neat idea and concept but frankly as an anime it was horribly executed and is comparatively to strike witches somewhat an inferior Mecha Musume Magical girl military series.
brano13177 Because anime apparently. People like anime. People like Tanks. Mix them up and chances are somebody is gonna like it. Simple as that
Premium ammo was a reason I stopped playing the Battlestar Galactica MMO. Also, props for the aristocrat bit. Gave me a bit of a giggle.
That aristocrat part is pure gold just like the rest of the video.
Hopefully Jim Sterling will portray King George in an upcoming production of "Hamilton."
Honestly I'd pay the price of a season pass to watch 17th century Jim perform in an opera.
Well done on reaching half a million....Jimlets? Jimquisitors? Jimthusiasts? Whatever, nice work!
I think "worshippers" is the group term here.
But I like the ring of Jimlets. I vote we change it to that.

When a company goes on record as stating that it's going to abuse the RUclips copyright system, that should be enough to squash the claim totally.
I'm just sad Girls und Panzer got dragged into this... leave my waifu alone, Jim!
It's a good world for independent GARME Jurnalizm
I was instantly more interested in the video because Katyusha was in the thumbnail.
I beg to differ. That Jim even knows what Girls und Panzer is (maybe he's watched it, and maybe not), is part of the reason I clicked this video. Another reason being Jim's tirades are just entertaining.
Marconius my poor yukari akiyama
ScozzWasTaken my duuuude
I didn't take Loli seriously until I watched that anime
Jim you should contact Themightyjingles. he just put out a video that he says hes done with the community contributor program and pointed out that wg eu has given EVERYONE permission to make content with their game.
András Rudnai watch his latest video. Jingles is no longer a CC
He did point out the fact that WG has said that. Even showing the forum post itself as proof.
Proves that WGNA are as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike
***** don't thank me thank Rita :P
So I literally just finished watching last week's video when this one was published. After being traumatized by the ending of the last ep I was on guard for the aristocrat bit again AND IT FKN HAPPENED I KNEW YOU WOULD DO IT AND YOU DIDN'T SCARE ME THIS TIME
Thank God For You Jim Stephanie Sterling
Jim please don't get rid of Born Depressed
