hey dude, i just wanted to comment and say thanks so much for this video. picked up one of these recently and was my first time opening a full size deck to change the belts. went smooth for the most part but you were sure right about the front panel being fiddly. lining up those extended switches almost drove me mad!
Hi sir do u got belt.me too have one with both side belt damaged.did u got belts?if so how much?and how to replace belt?same procedure as in this video?thank u sir
Great job. I recently replaced the belts on a similar vintage Sony TC-W345. Much cheaper unit with a much simpler mechanism. Barely any disassembly required. The belts were totally exposed.
@@mguess Videos such as this one are what give novices like me the confidence and the knowledge to go into the old machines and get them running again. Thanks for all you do to spread the knowledge. I've replaced belts on three old decks now and all are running back to spec.

Great! I'm glad you were able to bring the old Pioneer back to life.
Respect sir, do you know the dimensions (width and length) of the belt of the model Pioneer CT-1280WR Dual Cassette deck. Thanks!
I'm sorry I don't know the belt dimensions. I just ordered a belt kit for the particular model.

Thanks for commenting on the video. It's good to hear that there are others out there keeping these old cassette decks working.

Great video! I have a quick question for you... Where did you order your belt kit from?
I think that I bought the kit from here, www.vintage-electronics.net/pioneer-ct-1270wr-belt-kit.aspx
@@mguess Thank you! I think this is the issue with mine, so I want to follow your video and replace the belts on it.
