My mother was a truck driver with my father. She always loved this movie because dad was always getting into trouble and she was always having to fix it when they were on the road. So she absolutely loved the end of the movie when Monas giving him the speech about how he hast to ask for help and how he’ll actually have to say thank you when it’s done. And then she says “Oh my God what a f🤬g nightmare!” Mom can never get enough of that line.

Hello, KSO! I hoped you would enjoy the film, so I am glad you did. Thank you for sharing the photos of me with some of the celebrities I've met through the years. That was quite a pleasant surprise!!
For those who want to know, the first picture was with Tori Spelling. I had her sign my DVD of the movie "Trick" (1999). The second picture was with Amanda Bearse, probably best known for her role as Marcy on the TV show "Married with Children." I had her sign my "Fright Night" (1985) poster. Lastly, the third picture was with Adrienne King, the final girl in the original "Friday the 13th" (1980).
I have only met two of the actors from "My Cousin Vinny": Ralph Macchio ("Bill Gambini") and Austin Pendleton ("John Gibbons," the public defender). Ralph Macchio is of course best known for his starring role in "The Karate Kid," and Austin Pendleton was in two other movies you reacted to: "What's Up, Doc?" and "The Mirror Has Two Faces."
Again, thank you so much for your reaction! 😁

@SCENE'crly, K.S.O. One of the many reasons I love this movie is because I identify with Vinny so much. I lived a tumultuous life for a long time, (not a bad thing, overall, it was an adventure, lol) and then went back to college to get my degree in my 30's. Just because you don't get things "right" immediately doesn't mean that you are a loser. And while I don't directly use my degree currently, it helped propel me into many interesting professions that I might not have had as an option otherwise. The path isn't always straight, but it leads you to where you need to be. Also, the actor who played the judge was in Pet Semetary (Yes, I know that's not the proper spelling of Cemetery, but Stephen King spelled it that way for the book, intentionally) and if you've not seen it, you should check it out. It's scary, but it was made in the 80's, so you should be ok.

I am not a Southerner so I prepare Instant Grits with boiling water, add a little salt, and when hot and ready I add butter and Hot Sauce.Takes about less than 5 minutes to cook. The cook at the restaurant in the movie puts a chunk of lard (thick grease) on the griddle to cook grits, eggs and bacon. I guess that is the old traditional way to do it. If someone is from the South please correct me if I am wrong.

Always a fun movie to watch. Two things though. First a murder trial would never happen that fast. Seems it started the next week. Sometimes it takes a year or more.
Second they would almost never have been sent to prison before the trial was decided. They always stay in county jail lockup till the trial is over. I suppose if there was a real bad overcrowding problem it could happen, but not likely. You could tell it was prison because someone was on death row at the time. The other exception would be if they were already in prison on another charge. And these guys weren't.
