you look really cute with short hair! i understand your struggle with long hair lol. i tried growing out my hair, i lasted for almost 2 years, it grew to my lower back but since i was younger i never really took care of it (just shampoo, towel dry, a brief brush through in the morning) and i got 2 perms (big mistake) and 2 ombres (BIG mistake) and still did the same, probably brushing less with the perm. my hair was completely fried, and looked soooo bad. i had to cut it to my shoulders, it was something i was afraid to do but i did it anyways and ive never been happier! my hairs alot healthier and looks so much nicer, as i always looked really nappy and frizzed out with my rats nest of hair. letting go of your hair is a hard thing to do, but it always has a great outcome! proud of u for donating it

Keep going back and forth with cutting my hair but once I do it I always regret it a few weeks later so I vowed never to cut it short again. I go through a cutting withdrawal about 2-3 times a year where I obsess with wanting to cut my hair and have to stop myself from doing for a about a week straight. It's so annoying. Watching this video helped me live vicariously through you. Thanks so much for posting it! Looks great!

Nothing any of these people tell you is going to help lol. Your hair will grow over time. Hair growth is a 3 stage process. It'll grow, it just takes time and patience
My hair grows very quick, but I don't know how to help you on this one, cos 4 years is a lot... All I'd suggest is that you should prevent using heat (when I used heat my hair grew slower and was more damaged), or use a good heat protector spray. That and don't wash your hair every day-only when it's too the point where 1) there's too much product in your hair or 2) your hair is greasy. You could try biotin hair supplements if you're really desperate for long hair, but these types of things take patience. I didn't always have really fast growing hair, it was until I hit 13 where my hair grew like crazy.

Best hack to avoid tangles while sleeping is to sleep with a silky hair bonnet thingy you can find for like $2-3 at Walmart with the hair products. I call mine my sleep cap. You have to get new ones every few months because the elastic stretches out but they're really cheap and make brushing/combing in the AM way way easier. I don't even brush my hair, I always use a wide tooth comb. And, until Halloween, I had hair down to my waist.

Be sure to drink water. It could be genetics though. Does your Mom, Grandmother, Aunts, hair stop at the same place?
