English isn’t my 1st language, but: Gray eyes may appear to “change color” from gray to blue to green depending on clothing, lighting, and mood (which may change the size of the pupil, compressing the colors of the iris). Eyes look more blue/gray/green for the same reason as the sky appears to have different shades of blue :) it depends on the light

Me and my INTP girlfriend once had a discussion about how love works and its effect on a person psychologically, and go as far as talking about neuroscience, and also discussed how we became together by discussing from facial features, to how our parents nurture style influenced our preferences.
Yeah... we're being nerds.
I'm an INTP female and my bf is INTJ. We had a conversation that lasted multiple hours at the beginning of our relationship (that we both refused to label as a relationship for the first year, it was purely a way to quell our lust and unavoidable desire to procreate based on evolutionary traits 😂) about how love was a construct created by codependent people who were incapable of being confident and comfortable on their own. Add a spicy dash of mommy/daddy issues mixed in for flavor. We discussed the idea we as humans are attracted to the pheromones of individuals that have significantly different genomes than ourselves to enhance the likelihood of finding a mate that was genetically sound when mixed with our own. Anyways we've been together for eight years and both finally caved to the idea that love is real. I love him...damn it 😒
I tell you, as an INTP myself, that’s the sort of conversation that gives us the most happiness.
I once explained to this guy I was constantly chatting with and then suddenly stopped and disappeared that the reason he missed me and thought I was someone special was due to the separation anxiety he got after his habit of constantly talking to me was cut off at once.

As an INTP with an ESTP husband I asked him if I was like this when we were dating to which he very lovingly but bluntly replied "Yes." He said that he didn't understand what I was saying most of the time because I spoke too fast and I seemed to know random tidbits of trivia for everything (I was afraid of awkward silences so I desperately tried to come up with conversation starters so he wouldn't think I was as socially inept as I am). He then told me that after a short period of time he started to think my vast trivia knowledge was cute and fascinating so he decided to keep me since I'd be a constant source of entertainment for him. 😁

Isn't it great being a trivia god? I'm getting married today and we had a party last night on the roof of my future brother-in-law's house where we are having the ceremony. He's an ENTJ and kept playing random 80's and 90's songs trying to stump me on name of band and song. Half the time I gave him the album and the year within a couple years as well plus stories about the song. Another guy that tried to play too was having his mind blown.

Your comment actually reminds me of when my aunt got married in the beginning of the month and her bachelorette party was at a male strip show and every time they started a new song I would lean over and tell my mother (ISFP) the name and band of the song before they even started singing. She looked so impressed 😁. Also we were both too shy to ask for lap dances (and on medication so we can't have "liquid courage"), but our aunt and her other bridesmaids certainly enjoyed themselves that night 😅
😂 my bf said something similar the other day. My bf is an infp, and said that my logical reasoning balances him out when he’s upset about something and being irrational. He also says he’s learned more from being with me than he probably ever would have had we not been together. We’ve been together for almost 11 years and we’re both content with not being married yet. Not because we don’t want to be, but because we don’t see the need to rush things because we’re both just as committed regardless of rings and a piece of paper. We get this question a lot 😒

When my husband and I were newlyweds, I would take 3-hour naps every Sunday. We were also in college, and you can guess how I was about sleep.
Find an ISFP partner. They'll make you dinner and clean the house before joining you for the 3-hour nap! Of course, my fiancée often takes longer than the 3 hours leaving me time to youtube for a few more hours without judgement.
Let me tell you, that even if I had several attractive extraverted girl friends , for me as an INTP INTP women are very attractive. Why ? Honesty , high grade of consciousness, really low on narcissistic level and good humour. I ended up with an INFJ woman, who has similar traits.

As an intp girl, I admit I would only be satisfied in a relationship if I was able to talk about nerdy things with my SO. In my case there would be less physics and more history and biology, but still.
As an INTP man, I cannot stand history and biology, way too much memorization for me. I'll stick to physics.
Though for conversations, I like to talk philosophy and morals, or just really abstract questions. My favorite is one involving time travel and using it to illustrate determinism.

As an INTP dude with an INTP partner, I can confirm that the vast majority of our collective chat history (that isn't asking where someone is meant to be or who's cooking dinner) is either outdated memes that would make no sense to anyone else, or bizarre references to conversations we've had previously about hyper-specific topics, and exactly zero small talk. We literally just yeet memes at each other as a love language. Before we moved in together, we'd go days or weeks at a time without a dot of communication too.
But how would either of you know whether the other person is still committed if nobody is keeping contact?

Also as an INTP, you inherently know the other INTP is just staring at the void absorbing knowledge or hyperfixating on a project that'll get half-finished, there's no "this is not committed" that comes into question. We're the ultimate in low maintenance in that we'd prefer you not indulge in maintenance, it tastes like hovering.
The flip side of the coin is that we will happily stay up to 3am on a breathless daisy-chain of nerdy topics segueing from one to the next, and that's all the conversation we need for a while.
We've been together for 14 years now, so seems to have worked out alright!

Before I knew I was an INTP, 5-6 years ago, I thought how easy it'd be if I just wore white t-shirts when I went to college. Well, now that I'm in college... I don't have that many t-shirts. But I'm totally thinking of getting some more of those oversized cropped t-shirts next year!
Still wearing the T shirt I got as 'present' when I applied for that business school in 2013. Turns out if you wash clothes they can be used repeatedly. I don't especially like that shirt, but it's a fabric that can be used, it fits its purpose. It's the same with everything else, I think INTP do consume very few things, unless it's their specific and obscure hobby. I'm surprised cooking and cleaning don't appear here because I suspect INTP girlfriend aren't that motivated by it lol. I'm certainly not.
I have a theory that INTP females are better about hygiene than our male counterparts on average since nearly every time that stereotype gets brought up a bunch of us say it doesn’t apply to us. (Don’t yell at me INTP males I’m sure there are many outliers even if I’m right.)
I told my husband he'd only have to spend time with my family the same number of times he made me go see his family...and pointed out I only saw my family about 2 times a yr if that.
And putting on a plain shirt with no weird references or sayings on it is totally dressing up.

Yeah, she used to freak out because I'd drive across a border and 3 states and never think to call her and let her know where I was and if I was ok. "Well, duh, of course I'm ok". I knew where I was the entire time, I just don't get people.
I border between INTP & INFP. I relate to some of the stereotypes. I often wonder how certain mental health issues and being neurodivergent come into play with the varying personality types.
Yes, I would be interested in neurodivergence and Myer's Briggs.
Autism drives you towards INXJ, ADHD drives you more towards a perceiving type, so AuDHD ends up around INXP.
MBTI does a crap job of differentiating E/I for autistics, though. Extroverted autistics tend to make faux pas, get traumatized by the blowback, and develop introverted trauma responses, so MBTI dumps them in the I category.

@@Catlily5 I have diagnosed ADHD and undiagnosed but very likely autism. I'm quite extroverted by nature, but I was the smartest kid in my class in elementary school, knew it, and made sure my classmates knew it. That went over about as well as you'd think, and by 3rd grade or so I'd decided not to be friends with anyone unless they were friends with me first. And the aftermath from that is why I test as INTP rather than ENTP.
@@JonBrase I decided not to be friends with anyone unless they wanted to be friends with me. But I still approached people. But I refused to fetch or run errands for people just to have a "friend". I also refused to be friends with a girl who said she would hang out with me after school as long as I pretended not to be her friend in school. I was smart and nerdy but not the smartest in the school. It didn't help my popularity. My social skills also sucked. I tested as an introvert as a teenager but slowly reverted back to being an extrovert as an adult. I am not super extroverted though.

1:29 I have an INTP boyfriend and he definitely treats time like an illusion. He sometimes comes hours late when we plan a time to meet up. And yeah it kind of looks like he doesn't respect me, but I also know he really struggles with sleep in general. He falls asleep anywhere, and for a really long time. Once a fire alarm went off in his dormitory, and he slept through all that and didn't even know 😭It's ok I think he plans to see a cousnelor about it, but generally he isn't so strict with time or even deadlines for schoolwork. Sometimes I think he's too laidback

Wow. INTP here and my partner is also an ISFJ. 12 years so far. Despite our minds being on different planes of existence (I don't think he understands half the things I talk about and we don't really communicate well), it still somehow manages to miraculously work itself out.

Lowkey, as an INTP girl who has been in relationships (both platonic and romantic), the INTP shown in the video is a more immature type of INTP that usually isn't able to get into relationships because of their very underdeveloped Fi.
My Fi is actually decently developed, so I never come off as the type of INTP in the video, but am deeply socially and emotionally awkward at my core. I've learned enough to be able to pass off as generally normal, but it's all because I imitate/have learned to internalize general set steps on how to be "pleasant".
This are INTP stereotypes so everyone should take it with a grain of salt. I'm also pissed tho since everyone thinks INTPs dont feel emotions and quantifies everything which is an overgeneralization for the most part.

I remember going to Vegas for my birthday with friends in my 20’s. The night of my birthday, they all planned to celebrate with me. But they couldn’t find me, because I was alone at the blackjack and craps tables all day and most of the night, happily amusing myself! When they finally found me, I just kind of shrugged my shoulders, not realizing how big of a faux pas I was making by being lost when an entire group of people were trying to be nice and celebrate with me.
