    Hey Fenna,
    Omg, I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU, for all the content you share with us. I was looking for a professional photographer who keep me inspirited on my photography career, which I started no long time ago. I love your behind the scene videos. I am so glad I found you! You are amazing, just as all of your work! XXX

    I enjoyed your video, the little girl looked like she was enjoying her session. I just ordered a Yongnuo speedlite and wireless transmitter. I’m just an amateur and new at flash photography, I agree, the Goddox looks very much like the Yongnuo.

    I love the way the wee girl poses for the photos. She was like a professional. I do like your hair up!!! you look very pretty. I really enjoyed the editing of this video, the clips and transitions were pretty smooth. It gives me the sensation that you love what you do. Very inspiring to see how you work. I would love to see more in deep about lightspeed. Thanks, Girl! 😘Bx

    Can you tell me what light stand you use that allows you to use your soft box very low for newborn shoots as well as high enough for a model session? I purchased a shorter stand but it is not big enough to hold the soft box without tipping over. Thanks!

    • @FennaPhotography
      @FennaPhotography  6 лет назад +1

      It's actually a 'no name' brand, since I can't find a label anywhere. I think it came with a cheap strobe kit I got 5 years ago from Falcon Eyes. The stand is not extremely low, but the softbox centers into the hotshoe adapter and just falls quite low (if that kinda makes sense...)

    Hi Fenna , Good to see different light set ups ! I use Alien Bees , and also use a Wescott 52 inch soft box like yours. I tried continuous lighting , but found it too harsh . I love my lights and the soft wrap around light from my big soft box !

    I’ve been using Godox for a while now, both speedlights and strobes and I’m quite happy, Godox products are super solid (no worries, your speedlight won’t come off the camera) I love the consistency of the light and the strobes are cordless too (same rechargeable battery system) awesome not having cables around! You did a great choice! But....a big BUT....strobes are quite heavy if you need to move around. I use a Godox AD600Pro, it’s awesome, but it does make me sweat big deal when I need to move it to another background. You’ll need a few muscles 😅 but other than that, they’re awesome. Great video, thank you Fenna.

      Great to hear you like your Godox gear. I might test their strobe in the future. Might have to work-out in the gym a bit more, haha. Will work great together with the Sigma Art lens as a work-out. I might have very muscular arms this time next year :)

    • @FennaPhotography
      @FennaPhotography  6 лет назад

      Normally the parents bring the outfits or they can use one from the studio during the first part of the session. With the cake it's their own outfit. I find that the sizes differ quite a lot around the first birthday and some of my outfits won't survive being washed everyday :)

    I guess my Question is why you would use a mounted flash to slave the main when you have that awesome Godox remote so that you could control both flashes separate and adjust setting on the fly and used one flash off camera to bounce off ceiling and the other in your soft box or just the one softbox flash?

    • @jamespearsonhughes163
      @jamespearsonhughes163 4 года назад +2

      Are you adjusting white balance in post? If you shoot raw, you don't need to worry about getting the temperature right in camera. In Lightroom, if you select all your photos from a shoot and then open the develop module (and make sure "Sync" is toggled on in the bottom right), you can use the eye dropped to adjust the white balance for all your photos at once - especially easy if you have a shot of the grey card at the beginning.

    Hi Fenna. 😀 I use Godox video/modeling lights, and find the battery indicators to be inaccurate, so be aware of that until you get to know them.
    Overall I find Godox to be good value, but prone to critical failure. Because of this I've never thought of getting the speed lights, but I might have to now! 🥰

    • @FennaPhotography
      @FennaPhotography  6 лет назад

      Good to know! Up till now the speed light battery indicator seems quite reliable and I've used them during about 9 sessions before the battery started showing 2/3 full instead of 3/3 full. Great battery life to start with!

      Could you help me? so when we control the soft box speed light with our camera flash .. is there any way to control it still but turn the camera flash off ? I don’t have a transmitter for the flash so I just use my cameras built in flash ..

      Maria I what camera and flash do you use?

    • @amarashah1277
      @amarashah1277 4 года назад +1

      Atelier 19 Fotografia Nikon D800 and Nikon SB 900 ... I did change the settings in the custom settings > bracket/flash > commander mode > built-in flash I change the mode to -- then put my speedlight in .. but when I use the flash that’s on top of the camera it still “brightens” the subject .. I’ve taken the speedlight flash to another room just to see if the cameras flash will brighten the subject and it does ... so if I wanna photograph a baby I’m gonna be pretty close to it .. and the cameras flash is gonna blow it out ... Idk if this makes sense or not

    • @Atelier19Fotografia
      @Atelier19Fotografia 4 года назад

      Maria I I think it’s like that because it also hapens to me, that’s why i use a trigger in the câmera and a flash with bilt in receiver. If you don’t want to spend money on a new flash you have to buy a trigger and a receiver for you flash. If you have another flash (sb700, 800, 900, 910), you can use it as comander and turn the head away of your subject.
