- In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, scanning an amiibo allows certain characters to visit your town. These characters include Wolf link, Ganon, Medli, Epona, Felyne (Monster Hunter) as well as characters that are based on Callie, Marie and Inklings from Splatoon.

I love how the Amiibo changes the personality of these characters to be a bit more like the characters they're based on.

Not sure if anybody noticed this. Funnily enough, the Callie and Marie amiibo’s characters are named CeCe and Viché, which when put together (like Callie and Marie making Calamari) make Ceviche, which is a popular topping made of seafood!

Ceviche is actually a Peruvian seafood dish that involves using lime juice mixtures to "cook" the octopus or shrimp. Not a topping, an actual main course dish. Viva Peru!
Scence callie and marie have amiibo costumes in other Nintendo games, do you think pearl and marina will get their own costume references in other Nintendo games or not

I love how Cali And Marie are a pun on Kalimari,While their animal crossing things are Cece and Viche. Which is a pun on Ceviche.
I know people weren't fans of this feature and don't want it to return, but honestly, I really like it and would love to see it return in New Horizons.

I kind of wish they gave amiibo Festival an update that lets you use these characters as villagers you can put in your town, or to play on the console version of Desert Island Escape. Oh well, take what I can get, and all that. :)
