Oh holy cow, this looks fun. Dice placement, historical setting, camels, makers of Tzolkin. This went top of my to-buy list after two minutes of this video. Another much appreciated runthrough!
20:15 Jen could also have used her two 2 dice to get 2 silk, and then fulfilled her contract for +5 money, giving her 16 money total, and an extra unused die vs using 3 for money.
Some differences to how i learned the game. So i would like to check... A) you may use a lower movement number than dice you place. So for the two 4s you can pay and use them as if they were 3s. B) activating the city with the solved contract bonus limits you to how many contracts you have and the dice placed (whichever is lower). So no multiplication. You shoul get one point only in this turn.
atog28 a) yup, that's true, and i thought for sure i had demonstrated that several times in the video (placing high value dice but then only moving low distances) b) yes i totally had that wrong. you can see in the show notes or with annotations on :)
Question regarding the activation of town tile you mentioned around the 27min mark. I think if you use a dice showing five you would still only get 1vp because you only have one completed contract. This would be broken if you had six completed contracts and used a 6 on it every round for 36points.
Oh and C) in the 4 player game you may only place one die of a color in the camel bar to the lower left corner. Maybe that you have two dice here is because of a two player game.
+Markos Evlogimenos i don't remotely have time. plus, most of the errors are simple math ones, and the one real rule mistake is clearly annotated and is a very commonly made mistake as well, so pointing it out in the video probably helps others avoid it. plus, it doesn't impact the sole purpose of this video: demonstrating what the game plays like :)

The board is very whimsical, I love hearing all the Silk Road, historical city names. Everything about this game visually is excellent.
I adore this game! It has quickly skyrocketed to the top of my favorites list.
What perfect timing,, playing this for the first time tomorrow!

ok, thanks. I watched it on my phone so annotations weren't showing.
Finally :) I've been waiting for this since I've learnt about this game... :)
11:38... The ! bonuses are also immediate, so Adana can be worth 25.
I might buy this game just for the green dice. =)
Great video! Always the best!

Yeah, he did that wrong
I feel like the contract strategy is so much better than the movement strategy because it costs SOOOOO much to move!
at 21:00 did jen get 9 bucks because the die add up to 9 or just because its 3 coins multiplied by 3 dice.
+rob taylor It's 3 x 3

atog28 c) correct, it's a 2p special setup thing :)
You picked 3 spices which is what you get for a dice with a 4 not for a dice with a 3 (which is what you played)
TheMperor5
right, time code is 18:01
katzenkotzen noted... thanks
Rated number 75 on bgg and you cant buy it. Interesting business plan.
21:48 You took the wrong trading house from your board. That is supposed to be last one you'll place on the main board to earn the bonus 10 VPs.
noted... thank you
Don't you get some kind of Hairy Arm Bonus? An extra camel or something?
it's true, i am quite hirsute
The "i" doesn't appear anymore?
I think it's best (if you have time) to remake the video as it has a lot of rule issues. cheers!

Is it German Version? No problem wiht the language?
+Ramalingam Raghavan game is completely language independant. you'll just need to download rules in your language like i did :)
Bucks? Ducats, surely!
I have this boardgame.
Lets roll dice~
19:02 Oh my.. -.-
JRufu yes, i'm quite embarrassed about that one! :)
