8 supersonic propellers. Unparalleled loudness.
Only as loud as a Tu-95
@@HALLish-jl5mo The XF-84H Thunderscreech managed to be the loudest aircraft ever built with just one supersonic propeller. One engineer of the aircraft even suffered a seizure from it.
@@avi8aviate Tu-95 has 8 supersonic propellers.
It is quieter than the thunderscreech, I think due to pitch.
This VTOL resembles the Tu-95 more
@@HALLish-jl5moeh only way it resembles is the props
@@CASA-dy4vs The props being the part that makes the noise...
not only does he spend all the time in flyout making the pane it self, he goes back into a different program to do a 2d profile for the explanation portion. truly we don't deserve this amount of effort, keep up the good work.
The shenanigans that were going on with this in the Flyout server are unmatched

I am frankly blow away that you are able to both create a highly complex airplane in a build sim and edit to this caliber all while releasing weekly. If there is no editor I’m impressed with your speed and if you have one I’m impressed at the workflow you guys have set up
Love it! You manage to make everything I want to make! A really complex craft but you pulled it though and I bet this will be able to inspire others.
Thank you! I really hope so
For your next project, you should make a large flying wing airliner or bomber like the YB-49 or maybe even a stealth bomber like the B-2.
V-41 Raven? No. V-41 Tardigrade. Just look at it, it clearly takes after a water bear with the four little legs with spikey claws at the ends, the bulbous rolling curves, and that see through snout.
v-41 Tardigrade goes kinda hard ngl
@@c144gamingfr fr
Raven sounds better to me.
Tardigrade could be it's nickname
I sure enjoy scrambling a purpose-built ultraheavy quadrocontratiltrotor VTOL V-41 Raven on a mission to intercept and lift an active nuclear submarine straight out of the ocean
The editing in this video is actually amazing keep it up man !
This might be my favorite build of yours yet! I've always been a fan of VTOL aircraft. I've gotten to see many different types in real life at airshows, and I especially love the variants in the Avatar movies. I'd love to see your take on a quad-rotor (technically octuple-rotor?) gunship variant now!
5:10 It is retreating blade stall that causes that and it is more a factor of basicly outrunning your retreating blade than the turn itself though a turn at high speeds may cause this to happen. Vortex ring state is when you are not moving very fast (under ETL) but moving downward very quickly causing your rotors to recycle the turbulent air of your vortices leading to "stall". Hope that helps.
I have never heard of retreating blade stall in reference to a turn. Typically that roll over incident is when traveling forward at too high of a speed. The main rotor cannot turn any faster thus creating the "stall" on the retreating blade side which loses lift. And since the aircraft speed is reducing the lift on one side of the rotor and increasing the lift on the other and causes the helicopter to roll over. That has been the limiting factor in helicopter speeds.
Vortex Ring state is correct though. The helicopter vertical velocity is too much so it is dropping into the already moving downward air from the rotor thus it cannot create lift without a lot of collective. If there is not enough collective angle left to counteract the downward air, you just drop faster to the ground. Pitching forward to get into ETL is your only hope to recover. So you better have the altitude.
Videography keeps getting better! Love the design, the Near-future or Alt-present hardware designs on this channel are so cool. You're a real one M82, keep it up and.... Flyout?
I love the incredible efort and time you have put into your channel, it's not often that you can tell that people really care about there videos. But you seem purely authentic and like a really good guy, I also love that you added the moving blueprint, that was awesome.
The predecessor of VL-49 Tarantula
Hey, this turned out great! Thanks for the shout out. Any time you plan on making another helo or tiltrotor just lmk ❤
that was a great video man, I love watching you and your brain work and hearing your ideas, it’s all really entertaining
Dude I truly love the efforts and time you put and all those near futuristic designs in your flyout series. They just visualized some of my best dreams! Keep it up with more Flyout designs plz!❤
This is like something out of a Miyazaki movie! Which reminds me, another RUclips channel Big Mathis builds flying machines in Besiege and he has more or less the same quad rotor/engine VTOL design as this. He even made a 6 engine/rotor version.
You should make a pasenger/commercial version of this, as having the ability to move a shitton of people to remote places that a VTOL craft can reach would be unmatched
That thing is waaaaaay too unstable to be used in arctic or mountains
This video was great it's crazy how much this channel has grown and changed over time all will retaining the best qualities!
Love it! This reminds me a lot of Princess Kushana's gunship from Nausicaa of the Vally of the Wind.
i noticed the editing things you mentioned i couldn't point them out but the video felt smooth
Love to see this thing used in power line construction
I wonder if this design inspired the new VL-49 Tarantula of Nuclear option. Both VTOL tiltrotor-quadcopters with heavy lift capabilities.
Congrats, this is your first VTOL!
Vtols are beautiful aircrafts
I am so glad I looked at my recently uploaded because before this starts. I already know it’s 🔥
This thing is nuts, straight out of avatar or smth. Definitely my favourite build I've seen from anyone in flyout.
he named it the Raven which is similar to the VTOL spaceship from the movie Elysuim
This was literally the type of aircraft I was fantasizing about months ago (yes, I'm weird like that), though it did not have contra props or would have been feasible in any context. I'm glad I found your channel and by consequence this video. Much love from Puerto Rico
Outstanding! You've knocked it out of the park again, M82.
I feel like a 12 year old laughing at every instance of this thing crashing and the counter ticking up xD Great video man! You're a great ambassador for Flyout! I'll certainly be buying it soon thanks to you
Design is one thing but I always wonder about actual construction with these designs, some of these wing cross-sections and wiring layouts would likely be hell to actually manufacture and install. Can any aerospace manufacturing people touch in perhaps?
Amazing video as always, looking forward to the next radical design!
Looks cool! Reminds me of the drop ships from the film Edge Of Tomorrow with the engine layout!
@@RoryJones-pi7jc if only they don't keep crashing and killing Marines like the V22 Osprey
Love the editing so far!!!
LOVE the blueprint!! Keep doing that
wow, this is probably my favorite build from you.
This feels very Ace Combat, I love it!
Also I can't wait for Flyout to release
Beautiful Big Lifter
A fine Example of Hyperlift Helicopter
Greatwork Great Man
It absolutely slaps ! Nice one, Messier. The Pentagon will take twenty of those for testing.
I cannot explain with words how much I want this to be a real aircraft. The V-41 Raven might be my new favorite aircraft, second only to the B-B VVA-14.
this is one of my favourite messier vids it looks like what the humans in avatar would use if they were smart T-T
You should try the Lockheed Flying flatbed concept, and see how bad it would really be.
looks like the vtols in edge of tomorrow
I just got the notification and it’s already amazing
thank you. while I was watching this video, I started to use my imagination like I haven't in a very long time. It's refreshing to remember what it was like before I "grew up" and became so damn sinical.
I hope that Flyout adds something like Simple Planes' Funky Trees. That would make controls like this soooooo much easier.
I made a vertibird-like thing in SP and being able to multiply inputs by the sine or cosine of the VTOL angle makes the transition between vertical and horizontal flight so much smoother (and allows for flight between the two modes)
plus it's nice to be able to make your own fly by wire (although it's a bit tedious)
Would be cool to see something where you design a mid 60s to 70s jet then theorycraft and implement lifespan improvement upgrades and/or modernisation packages. Something that had a decade or two service life for one airforce and then got sold to another that doesn't have the budget for new.
This is epic please do more stuff like this. Maybe lessen the detail a bit but we will wait as weeks for another video if it’s as good as this 😊
This is a good idea in theory, but being a cv22 mechanic I don’t see how this would work, there’s also some designs you would need to add such as an interconnecting driveshaft system not to mention the conversion actuators. Also ospreys have exhaust deflectors built in so when it detects wow the exhaust deflects
I'd like to think it's just the CV-22s that have them, spent enough time getting my uniform melted and my eyebrows singed off to know that MV-22s do not have deflectors 💀💀💀
this game looks so complicated, yet you make it seem so easy!
The V-22 uses the coanda effect to deflect exhaust outwards while in helicopter mode, while in airplane mode the coanda valve is deactivated thus allowing exhaust to flow out straight.
i like the new editing very much
Omg this is awesome bro keep up the good work!
You should have the back tires squat a bit for easier loading and a step ladder for the side doors
Soon as I saw the thumbnail:
“OOH it’s da funny Tom cruise movie vtol!”
this commercial at 13:40 like it was a private jet or something 😂
just please collaborate with lockheed martin, or boring, or fairchild republic, or whoever you want caus I could clearly see your designs used irl, great ideas and capabilities
Really cool craft, would you ever do a tutorial for quad tiltrotors like this in the future?
A four-tilt-rotor vtol has always been an awesome idea ever since transformers dark of the moon. Maybe not irl, but it's just so cool.
Very good Video and big respect for your work
4:15 I love how much it freaks out here 😂😂😂
I had asked chatgpt to design a replacement for the an225 and it gave me a pretty good design
Designing a replacement aircraft for the Antonov An-225, a unique heavy cargo aircraft, is a complex task. Here's a conceptual outline for a potential replacement:

This conceptual replacement aircraft, the NextGen CargoMax-1, aims to surpass the capabilities of the An-225 while incorporating modern technologies for enhanced performance, reliability, and environmental sustainability. Actual design specifications would require further detailed engineering work.
Bell and Boeing engineers are feverishly taking notes right now....
This Aircraft is excellent in detail!
Best video yet! Keep up the awesome content!
the cockpit reminds me of the armoured corvette from Nausica, love it
The more important aspect is delivering 64 tons of cargo TO A CARRIER. Supplies and avgas are the only limiting factor for a carrier, which is why the cv-22 is so important. This would be even better. The only thing it's missing is being able to fold and compact itself to be stored on board.
Jesus, this thing could carry an older model Abrams into battle and deploy it from the rear ramp. That's impressive.
I wouldn't even be suprised if the USAF hires you😂
This is legit the closest thing to the Thunderbird cargoship I have in a book series I'm developing
Reminds me of the V-120 Valkyrie from Tom Clancy’s Endwar it’s a VTOL Quad Rotor that brings in most of the Units in the game
This thing looks remarkably similar to the Tolmekian corvette from Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Tandem wings, high-visibility cockpit, and it looks about the same size. Only this one is also a VTOL.
Bro, this looks amazing
I really enjoyed watching this video! Keep it up!
I love this. I'd love to see a gunship version that uses that cagro tonnage for belly turrets and ammo.
This is super interesting! i started the video thinking it looked silly but by the end I was loving the design after seeing all the work and thought that went into it. I'm sure you have plenty of projects, but have you looked into intermeshing rotor helicopters? I'm wondering if something like that would be possible to make in flyout.
bro is's so cool i love your videos it look like a soviet concept never created
Excellent work, would love to see a gunship version at some point in the future
These videos are always amazing but the saddest part is when the end comes
Waiting for Airwolf to be replicated in FlyOut and pull even more unthinkable movie/show-tier shenanigans
Maybe made some modification's like the Refueling Stick or add Some Machine guns you know? Defensive capability's.
This game looks awesome, i cant wait till it comes out
Awesome video, keep it up, you're doing great!!
This would be a great multi-mission aircraft. Slap some rocket pods on those massive wings, you got an unholy hybrid between the Apache and the Osprey. Need an awacs but can’t afford or operate an E-3? Slap on a rotor-dome on top and stick a mission package in the cargo bay. If you need mid-air refueling, it could hold a mission package with a shit-ton of fuel inside. The possibility’s are endless
Beautiful, I absolutely love the engineering and the performance of the Raven. I have to ask, how would it compare to helicopters like the Chinoock or the Sikorsky CH-54? It would be really interesting to see your beautiful Raven's performance against these helicopters as far as load capacity and range.
Hey would you be interested in modelling “nuclear option” aircraft? The aircraft that are more “out there” from that game, like the medusa, tarantula or the darkreach. Would love to see you working and optimizing them.
Love your work!!
i love how it feel like a commercial here: 14:28
that would make an amazing mobile or rapid response base. say for emergency relief. I could imagine an Agents of SHIELD sort of show featuring this.
now drop a swarm of xf-85 goblins with this
Excellent build
Get a few of these together and you got armored support for air assault infantry....though with how big of a target this thing is securing the area is extremely important if a commander is ballsy enough to try this. The Raven isn't going to sneak by anything so best hope that anything that can shoot it is out of range or six feet under.
Looks fantastic. I always wonder if the Fairey Rotodyne is an overlooked technology and whether an updated version of that would be a simpler solution than tilt rotors?
With this aircraft it reminds me of the aircraft from that old PS2 game Dropship: United Peace Force (minus the rotors).
As an M1 tanker, I'll stand directly under your exhaust to test it. And definitely not to heat my food or stay warm in subzero temperatures.
Yeah I'm definitely getting cancer lol
100% best build yet, worth the time you put into it! Should try a Small/light scout VTOL similar to an MD520N or MH-6J Little bird, with similar asthetics to the Raven?
Awsome, Dude! I love the work. This has real potential to be an advancement in aircraft. Do you think it could be capable of water landings? I could see its use in Recon Applications.
this is an aircraft of my dreams! Awesome!!!!
great content man!
This game seems like it's going to be a learning curve nightmare
Loved this in Edge of Tomorrow.
Smoothest VTOL development process

Ooh yess messier i was litteraly waiting for you to upload lol
edit: can you make a plane like the an 225 in the future? or an a320?
