A Fancl retail associate once told me that Fancl products have a short expiry date after opening because the brand curates preservative free skincare, thus products come in small sizes to accommodate the expiration date. Alcohol makes my skin super red, I purchased the Biore UV sunscreen. If you rub the product between your fingers, the alcohol dissipates, and you can tell because the strong alcohol smell goes away. I did this instead of throwing away the Biore and I had no issues with it, and I actually really loved it. I prefer the alcohol because it doesn’t contain as harsh emulsifiers and I feel like my skin barrier is stronger.
My skin doesn't get red upon contact with alcohol contained sunscreen but my skin gets super tight a couple hours later. I ended up finishing the sunscreen on my arms instead.
Hiya Tina! Just a heads up, I'm getting an error on the Rice Release Cleansing Oil link. And, damn girl, you aren't lying about it being hard to find even in Japan! I've been looking for weeks and haven't seen it anywhere. 🤷🏾♀️
Wow lots of nice products! When i lived in Japan I used to use the Rosette cleansers a lot, just the foam ones though. I'm the same in that when I was younger, I used to love ge, creams but as I got older, my skin has gotten drier and now I need more rich creams
OMG yes, the Nivea Water Gel is amazing. I bought it when i went to Japan and it was the rainy season but ended iup absolutely baking in Kyoto. It was the first suncream I saw and obviously Nivea is a brand I knew so I bought it. So so glad I did. I’ve more recently bought a couple of new bottles on Amazon for a decent price!
As far as alcohol being in some products, there are different types of alcohol NEEDED in products that help the formula not separate & stay mixed well. Dermatologist, Dr Dray, has a whole video on this subject on her channel. It’s worth watching.😉
Just found out your channel few weeks ago and already binged a lot of the videos..i really wanted to try the hada labo lotions you showed..is there any japanese or us site that offer international shipping?!..

Ah yes I found the same problem. I've repurchased self foam product from etude house 3 times, the soon jung cleansing foam. I love the foam but! It only last around a month (use twice a day). I think it's pretty affordable at first, cost only $11. But when it took me less than 3months to buy them three times! $33!! I might as well buy a good well formulated cleansing gel that can last 4-5 months for less than $15 😔
For me the somebymi truecica sunscreen did pill even when I do not use it under mask!! It’s now one of my worst sunscreen because it pills really badly 😭 even if I do not use any skincare underneath it, it just pills. It also smells of really strong teatree which is not my cup of tea 😂
