Bungie probably just wanted to avoid it being as strong hence why they put the cooldown on the perk itself but imo it really should be removed as with it it’s just a useless perk.
IIRC the damage itself is pretty high on volatile explosions while Incandescent requires ignition procs to get to the same numbers. You can see it really shine with Volatile Rounds it's explosion can also proc the enemies you marked with Destabilizing rounds. I do agree the cooldown should be reduced or removed but I can see why they didn't want it proccing all the time. Imagine if Incandescent could proc Ignition as frequently as you could with Ember of Ashes but it was built into the perk instead of needing a subclass fragment. I’ve still got an explosive payload/dragonfly subtle calamity (it has 40k+ kills on it so I didn’t delete when sunset). I’ve loved picking it up again.
Archer’s tempo and archers gambit with oathkeepers is NOT the fastest you can get this bow. You assumed it capped out because oathkeepers didn’t change the draw time. Oathkeepers literally doesn’t even buff draw time if you already reach 500 (or 540 on this bow cuz it’s bugged). Furthermore, both of its origin traits decrease its draw time even further, one from a 10% chance every time you hit an enemy being veist stinger, and the other being off of assists or assisted final bows through dream works. With all of these, I’m just gonna guess you can probably get it down to 8-9 frames, putting it at around that 154-173 draw time range. There is no cap, just diminishing returns
Ooooof i dropped this game but dang that bow is spicy. So many good perk combos. Thanks for the content cross, don’t even need to play the game when you show off all the cool stuff. Enjoy your bows fellas.
Id argue this is just slightly better than lethophobia, mainly because of the origin traits. While the one on leth isn’t bad, these two on the new one are both much easier to activate, and have more of a benefit.
I’ve got a Repulsor/Destabilizing Elsie’s Rifle, and it’s pretty much a legendary Graviton that also gives you an overshield. Got it on one of those Qua whatever machine guns too, and it’s a solid roll. If you can shoot a bow fast enough, it might be worth it.
I honestly like the potential of this bow. I love myself some bow gameplay! I would honestly get quickdraw and kill clip and combine that with spirit of gyrfalcon, infinite explosions!
Grinding? Hell no, I have no need for that. 3 runs of Bonfire Bash and I got GT/Repulsor, Hipfire Grib/Archer’s Gambit, Archer’s tempo/destabilising, repulsor/destabilising, enlightened action/kill clip and repulsor/kill clip. Easy work, but the weapon is mid overall imo. Gonna keep using my Tyranny of Heaven, 11k kills and going strong.
No cause there is a cap on the draw time. If you can hit crits while hip firing, use archer's gambit, if you can get a kill on killing chain, then go warm up.
Cross, you should try Repulsor+Archers Gambit on a prismatic warlock build with devour and the fragment that allows void weapons to get volatile rounds with a grenade kill
Destabilizing Rounds actually DID get a buff when Final Shape launched. There is now a small detonation on the initial weapon kill that’s similar in size to the Pale Heart weapon origin trait.
Been using repulsor and destabilizing and for normal content its amazing put about 800 kills with it in a few hours and its super fun makes u a lil tanky
The draw time displayed in-game is an arbitrary number. If it was actually in miliseconds, the amount of frames to fully draw an arrow (at base) would amount to 32.4 at 60 fps, since [FPS = frames / time], therefore [time × FPS = frames]. 0.54 × 60 = 32.4 frames. But the video proves this wrong since it is clearly 28 frames at 60 fps. So the actual draw time is [time = frames / FPS], 28/60 = 466.67 ms. If the goal is to compare the draw time in real values, evaluating it in miliseconds is better IMO, since it is framerate independent (should take equally long at any framerate).
The draw time floor for lightweights is 500, not 540. They were buffed a long time ago, but many lightweights, including new ones, have had a visual bug on the stats that still show 540.

Also side note. Volt Shot could use a rework as well imo too. Got a Sightline Survey with Triple Tap and Volt shot but to activate Volt Shot I HAVE to reload after every singular kill to proc it. Thoughts anyone?
The 540 ms draw time it shows is the same bug as Lethophobia as they actually hit 500 ms draw time with max draw time of Elastic String or Polymer String with Draw time mw or oathkeepers

I classify the content of this game to three category is normal activities. Second is grandmasters third is raid and dungeons. I'm only talking about PVP Content here so PVP is out of our topic, now when we are going to play the normal content like strike or seasonal activities I think you can play with any weapon and he you will do just fine, Second is grandmaster, which will be relying on the artifact and the surge third is raid and dungeons and this category usually you will focus on the boss damage by using weapons like rocket and fusion or snipers depend on the boss so I don't see where I can use a legendary bow in this game and also they are kinda boring to use to be honest, the only bow I am using lately is wish ender because it's very powerful bow and it's anti-barrier Other exotic bows like Lemonarc (sorry for wrong spelling) and trinity ghoul I am using them in GM only For ad clearing GL are way better or rocket side arm
quick question: is there a cap on draw rate for bows ? I got the archer's tempo/archer's gambit roll & I'm not really seeing a perceivable difference between the draw with both proc'd & the draw with just successful warm up proc'd. Maybe a couple of frames ? Really doesn't seem worth it tbh.
Can you take a closer look at fel taradiddle? Its craftable and can have archers tempo and succesfull warm up at the same time. It would be interesting to see if it could beat it or if it has a floor
can you talk about how insanely bad the exotic class item drop rate change is? I've been doing overthrows for 2 hours with not a single drop. I'm not playing this game until they fix the drop rates.
I'd argue Lethophobia would be better as you could roll it with Slickdraw and the target acquisition hit doesn't matter as you're only using it for the shield break so free 100 handling. I paired it with Rat King and Gyrfalcons or Gravitons Forefeit to either also apply volatile (mostly in 6s) or have the longer stealth.
Honestly i feel sorry for most of the new weapons being introduced seeing as the brave and raid weapons are just in a tier of their own for some weapon archtypes. Sure some of seasonal and ritual weapons have been absolute hits (lost signal, the call, abberant action) but damn the competition is crazy.
I wish I had the means to figure out how many frames the vow bow from Crimson days is. Not great peaks but just pretty sure it’s the fastest bow in the game.
I hate how little that enhanced perks do, often times a barely noticeable change in some weapons performance and realistically the enhanced state should be the baseline for each perk nowadays and rework the Enhanced perks so they actually feel like they do something
Successful warmup archers gambit with polymer string and a draw time masterwork and viest stinger procd is a 97ms draw time. Thats 0.097 seconds haha, id like to see this tested.
Is loose change any good? I got a loose change and destabilizing rounds roll and have yet to try it out. Was hoping he would cover the perk here but he didn’t
Don't forget Air Trigger. It increases the reserves bumping it to 12 from 10. Paired with either BnS or Bipod I'm curious to see how it all compares. If the Air Trigger reload allows it to dump rockets at the same or similar DPS to Recon/Auto loading then it could beat them all out due to its total damage.
@ROFLWAFFLELAWL4 I got the air trigger roll and the reload speed isn't the craziest, I still think something like envious or reconstruction is still better. I might be wrong though. What I do wonder is how many rockets can we shoot with reconstruction + envious
Recon Bait and it's not even close. The DPS loss over Apex is -16%, but the total damage increase is +10% thanks to the reserve buff of precisions and tracking to prevent whiffing against stuff like hive wizards. It's not just competitive, it's perfectly viable and *better* than Apex should you need strand damage, think about a Euphony rotation. Of course Bipod is a good total damage perk because it's 40% total damage while bait is +23% or so (bc of rockets proccing it), but you lose so much DPS with Bipod due to slow reconstruction reloads that it's just not worth it.
Graviton doesn't need anything else! It's borderline OP as it is excluding the current fire rate bug. I think it'd still be top tier if they met in the middle on the regular and bugged fire rates.
The bow is capped you cant lower it more then 540 even unless is timed perks, for example if you get a masterwork of draw time and the bow is already at 540 it won’t go lower.

quick question: is there a cap on draw rate for bows ? I got the archer's tempo/archer's gambit roll & I'm not really seeing a perceivable difference between the draw with both proc'd & the draw with just successful warm up proc'd. Maybe a couple of frames ? Really doesn't seem worth it tbh.
Got the emblem and now it's on to the ship(pretty close) and then its sayonara to BB for this year!😎👌
I got enlightened action/kill clip 1st run, I think I'll call it for the event.
This bow is deadly as fuck with a fast af ttk with Archer Gambit and 500 ms draw time ♡
Archers tempo/precision instrument in pvp is actually good
Can you take a closer look at fel taradiddle? Its craftable and can have archers tempo and succesfull warm up at the same time. It would be interesting to see if it could beat it or if it has a floor
can you talk about how insanely bad the exotic class item drop rate change is? I've been doing overthrows for 2 hours with not a single drop. I'm not playing this game until they fix the drop rates.
Disruption break in PvP, then switching to crimils dagger with explosive rounds - - 2 tap everytime it’s absolutely god mode
Now that I think about it, I would've preferred Dragonfly in that 3rd column.
Huh my first roll on Fortunate star was the destabilising rounds plus that beacon one.
as a french i love and hate how cross says non denouement
as a non-french, i hate french
I’ve thrown away everyone I’ve got, as not sure if it’s worth anything , and low vault space. Maybe you can make a clean the vault vid
I like that D2 has big words
Idk ive been maining destabilizing rounds since they dropped it and it clears ads. Especially when paired with gyrfalcons
Does precision instrument also get buffed when using with Hunters Oathkeeper arms?
We need another kinetic bow! Maybe one that does tremors on every hit 😁!
How do you enhance it? I haven't had a redborder drop once
I got the destabilising repulser, very cool
Hipfire grip and archers gambit is the role i want for funny speeeeeeeeed bow xD
When did they put a cool down on destabilizing rounds. Makes me not want anything to do with this perk now
Just use a rocket sidearm and gravaton for ad clear. Super simple.
The cap is still at about 85/87 reload for bows. And considering Compact Arrow Shaft with a Loader or two will max it out
we have enough damage perks, give me some utility.
final blows sends a chaining arrow. something spicy or just useful
Eagerly awaiting to see which Crowning Duologue roll does more DPS, Reconstruction/Bait And Switch, or Reconstruction/Bipod.
@@ROFLWAFFLELAWL4 Yep. Air Trigger is basically Jumping Field Prep.
Need to gi e graviyon lance destabilizing or volitile rounds and that will put it on god tier
Graviton doesn't need anything else! It's borderline OP as it is excluding the current fire rate bug. I think it'd still be top tier if they met in the middle on the regular and bugged fire rates.
@@Mr_Ruhlthe fire rate bug is really bothering me right mid to be honest
The bow is capped you cant lower it more then 540 even unless is timed perks, for example if you get a masterwork of draw time and the bow is already at 540 it won’t go lower.
Considering how much loot drops per run, I'd say it's worth. I'm a bit biased though. 🤷♂️
- I want a void weapon with destabilizing rounds.
- How original.
- And Repulsor Brace.
- Daring today, aren’t you?
Dead ass why does volatile haves cooldown but incandescent and jolt have ZERO cooldown.
This is why I CONSTANTLY give bungie shit. Lazy devs can’t code!!!!!!
Curious if Successful Warm Up and Archers Gambit can go lower then Archers Tempo + Gambit ?
Destabilizing needs a radius buff for sure
You forgot about Subtle Calamity
Repulsor brace and destab let's goo
Why don't you talk about Loose Change with destabilising rounds?
I think Because he recommended with gyrfalcun which would grant it volatile rounds anyways
@GODE-ot9pu why use exotic armor that can do it occasionally when the weapon itself can do it all the time? and there are more classes than hunter
@@smalbeest destabilizing rounds has a 3 second cooldown so it’s also occasionally but he paired loose change with the archers gambit perk so I think he was just going for general increase in DPS. Dodge into a hip fire headshot will increase reload speed and draw time you don’t even need to kill anything. That’s obviously just my guess I’m not in the guys head haha
That roll is so good and people sleep on it, it gives reload speed and aim assist, so makes hitting crits easy AF. People are just sheeple
I just want whatever roll lets me shoot arrows at the fastest rate.
I got Natural String/Fletching, Successful Warm-up and kill clip!!
Try it with gyrfalcons and repul/destabilize
“Do the math guys” he exclaims to an audience of Destiny players
