    My experience so far, any branch you chose to go to will test you. You will end up either a better person, reveal who you really are leaving it up to you to make yourself better, or reveal physical and/or emotional limits. Don't think any branch is less tough than the other. They are all tough. And we are all on the same team.

    Things have changed a lot since I went through in 1986. We didn't have "Warrior Week". I really wish I had stayed in, I was offered the chance to go to Drill Instructor school. I love our Air Force!

    ====>> I LOVED my (6) year term in the Air Force. If you plan on joining the AF, do so! Upon getting out, where it be after one term (then go AF Reserve), or retirement, you will have so many options available for you! I became a contractor for the AF while receiving a dual bachelors! Married an Air Force Officer, and we received a loan to start our own business! Had two kids in Germany and benefits forever! Can't forget the diligence, integrity and character I've received for a lifetime!

And damn, i changed my mind. since then i am much improved in the PT department, but a still waiting for my Basic Training call. figured i would go into something with a civilian equivilant. But the best of luck to you! one of the hardest jobs in the Air Force

    @GRAVESGGS 12 лет назад

    Basic training is 8 1/2 weeks long. You will wear ABU's, a new uniform that replaced the BDU's. Your boots are sage and no longer will be polished.
    Pt- the run. You will be divided into running ability by wearing lane belts. The outer lanes are for faster trainees while the inner lane are for those who are slower. The cardio days consist of about 12:30 min 1 1/2 grp mile, 10 min. self pace run, and 6 sets of 30 sec. sprints. Strength traing is current in the video.
    Warrior week is now...

    Beast week. It is your 6th week. You will do SABC, PAR, ECP/DFP, and MOP training.
    You will wear a frame of choice if you wear glasses.
    Best way to graduate BMT is to study, do what you're told when you're told as fast as possible.

    Bootcamp for all branches is easy, its when you're out in the fleet and applying your skills and strength is what separates all men ang girls apart. All branches have its good and bad, its all depend on you how you set your goal to make it a better Navy, Marines, Army and Air Force. I'm in the Navy myself, and I enjoyed most of the time I'm in it. AFTER ALL WE ARE THE BEST ARMED FORCES THERE IS IN THE WORLD.

    @TheBrudi2007 BMT for Air Force is a mind game. They teach more of an idea to group together and work together as a team. Leadership does have its role but its not a big focus because they are trying to rid of the individualism. Leaders will step up naturally or they will pick out the people who seem to not fit the role and develop them into a leader.

    Support roles don't fly. I was a Jet Powerplant Technician (repaired he jet engines) in the Air Force. In battle you don't have time to do things in a relaxed pace, you need to be in shape to do things quickly and for extended periods of time. This also goes for fighter pilots, just because they sit in a cockpit doesn't mean they don't have to be in shape, in the event of being shot down behind enemy lines, they need to be able to survive and try to get back.

    ==--- Hey again! Honestly, joining after High school is the way to go! You should talk to your Recruiter right after the Holidays to join in June, or, if you want to wait, try and enter in September. San Antonio is known for the most treacherous summers, esp. in July and August. As for fitness, you MUST begin jogging at least 3 x week for 2 miles on pavement, not a treadmill. Additionally, try your damndest to start building upper body strength for push-ups / pullups. I couldn't do one p

    approach, and truly awesome camaraderie and sense of belonging; join the Army or Marines. Con - compared to Navy or AF in general, you get treated poorly. Pro - you actually do what matters in person, on the ground.

  • @Skorpionsolja
    @Skorpionsolja 12 лет назад

    I was in the military Air Force, and trust me I know about the ASVAB scores and what requirements are needed to get in. You do not need to explain this to me but in order to get into the Marines,, you can score as low as i told you before, but no jobs in the Air force will let you in with it,

    They may not be the most physically challenging, but they aren't door kickers. They are more than likely the most mentally challenging branch which most don't realize. All branches earn their respect, some in different ways than others.

    @captainbryce1 12 лет назад

    @zizumbaleba Also, this video is about 4 years old. AF basic is actually a lot more difficult now. It is longer now and there is more emphasis placed on PT and field training exercises. More focus has been placed on deployed combat since airmen have been embedded with army and MC units in Iraq and Afghanistan. But airmen are still mostly trained to be resilient, adaptable, and pay meticulous attention to detail. They're not trained to be "tough" riflemen. That's what marines are for!

    I know you think you are defending something meaningful, and you are, but micheil actually has a valid point - albeit a poorly stated and mildly disrespectful one. What you said was certainly true in the past, but now the world is different. We're not the 'defenders' we used to be. We've become the aggressors. We believe we are fighting for "freedom" but really we're just cogs in a machine so complex we can't even tell who we're helping.

    well i agree to an extent, airforce does have the easiest basic and and easitest jobs, however, airforce also has two of the army's best hidden secrets, PJ's and combat controllers.i can say without a doubt pjs are probably the most highly trained spe ops units the army has to offer, they do what they do so that others may live.

    Uniform weight, along with heat and perspiration retention have been especially criticized. The open-weave cloth construction of the BDU is also easily penetrated by insect bites. They are also notorious for causing rashes in, well, sensitive areas when wet.

    Seriously people. Don't we all fight for the same thing. All the branches of the military work together, each doing different things. One isn't better or worse. They all look for different things and they all have different areas of expertise. Without one, the others would fall. That is the point of being in a TEAM! We are the United States Military. i took my ASVAB last January, SAT has nothing to do with it. ASVAB is a way to see which job you would be best suited for, such as going into different fields, such as General, Electronic, Administrative, or Mechanical.

  • @XDpro3D
    @XDpro3D 12 лет назад

    SAT scores don't really matter SAT is only if you plan to go to college right after highschool i scored 1500 in my PSAT but i found out it doesnt matter your ASVAB is hard to explain at times it just helps with your job placement the most and what field you will be good in im joining the airforce when i graduate and that will be in 2013 so really this coming school year
