Not only is the ingenuity and craftsmanship absolutely impressive, but the quality of the video production is simply outstanding. Clear views, good angles, step by step demonstration and simple. Even includes the list of tools and materials used, as well as jig build plans. IMHO, the absolute best of its kind on RUclips. Thank you, Yasuhiro TV.
You remind me of my grandfather, his abilities utilizing wood was something else and what I ultimately strive for, but this is a type of genius lost on me. So, thank you for these invaluable videos. You’ve instantly become my favorite RUclips channel
My top two tips for anyone struggling with their circular saw game: 1) A good blade is a true game changer. The expensive ones are worth their price. The best one in my opinion is Makita Efficut Z-56. Day and night difference compared to the cheap ones or even the mid priced ones. They're around 40-50 a piece. Goes through wood effortlessly and with low noise and vibrations like hot knife through butter and the finish is super satisfying. After several years of using the cheaper discs, I got a good one from a friend and there's no going back anymore. Even the battery life you get compared to a cheaper one is like 10x, especially when making long rip cuts. 2) Check and correct the squareness of your blade vs. the base. You need to do this periodically. If it's off just by a little, your joints won't match. If it keeps drifting too often, you need to renew the loctite in the small adjustment screw you use to square it.
nice tips! i am using the makita blade that came with my dhs680z, but not sure if that's any good. on number 2), i actually realized on my last cuts that they were not square but didn't realize the saw had an adjustment screw for that. will check for that asap :)
@@Bowl1992 It's been a while since I got mine, but I think it may come with several different ones depending on the package or where you buy from. The best in my opinion is the one that has the big SPECIALIZED text on it. They're around 40-60 usd/eur for one. It's so satisfying after years of using worn or mediocre blades. The adjustment screw is the one under the tilt-angle lever. There's another one for setting the maximum tilt, I set mine to 0 and 45 and ignore the numbers on the dial. You need a small hex key for it.
Thanks so much man:) tried to adjust it yesterday and hoping to get better cuts now! Though I found adjusting a bit tricky with the saw on my lap , holding the blade protection back, checking with the right angle and adjusting the screws at the same time:)
You make it look so beautiful! I could not even watch the whole thing. I had to stop and save it and then come back for more later after I fortified myself a bit. But up until the halfway point what I did see was truly beautiful and thank you so much for sharing it!

I instantly fell in love with the castle joint jig. So simple, yet so powerful! Thanks a lot!
What I really enjoy is the accuracy of what you do. Actions speak louder than words.

i noticed with blades being a lot thinner rip cuts tend to drift easier if you hot a lot to do consider a wider blade…less flexing
