I met Lars randomly in Copenhagen in 2017 And he was the sweetest guy, he stopped to talk for 15 min or so and really asked personal stuff and was genuinely interested! 100/10 kind of guy

Yeah i read somewhere on RUclips or wherever that some girls freaked out with him and wouldn't stop hugging him and kissing him and asking him to sign their tits and generally being too raunchy...and his wife got really upset and so he decided to stop the meet and greets. Also some girls just had too many emotional breakdowns when meeting him and he was sick of the awkwardness. Some girls would just cry and cry and make everything weird before the show.
I'm guessing its like a hundred bucks more on top of the ticket you already paid a boat load of money for, for a meet and greet. Kind of takes away from the excitement but you got a story for life.

There is also a paid meet n greet where you meet all 4 of them (James doesn't do the fifth member ones anymore 😔)and my understanding is you have an individual photo with all 4 of them taken, get to meet all 4 separately and get to spend probably a bit longer chatting to them, they sign your stuff and you also get a signed setlist. It was an amazing experience and whilst I'm a bit sad I didn't get to meet James; Kirk, Lars and Rob are great guys!
If I were in a successful band, I'd feel so indepted to my fans that I'd want to sign autographs until my I developed carpal tunnel syndrome. For me the irony would be that while my fans worship me it's me who worships them.
Fan worship is a strange thing. I guess many need someone to worship...false gods. At least they are real unlike the big fantasy god in the fairytale book
