Looks like alot of fun. I had to sell my GF30 fermenter, because i always got hops stuck in the cone. And the valve would not work. Eventually i went for the Jacketed Brewtaurus Fermenters in Czech Republic.
@@HomebrewGriffo yea, through the graincast. The gravity displays on the controller and in app wherever you are. You can adjust/monitor temperature through the app on your fermenter too.
M8 what a score! Spooky I've just mysel snagged a G30',4 kegs and beer fittings taps etc.Obv. not a mint as your find.the brewery looking tidy pal...lata Bri
mate. i’ve followed since the beginning and watched the brewery grow. my brewery is an outhouse, ‘rough as hobs of hell!’ (canny saying lol) so improvements from a scruffy brick walked outhouse i got inspiration pal. End o day, i’m crap talking on the camera, and brewing channel is small, but i’ve love homebrewing since i started 1985! The hobby never gets old for me. we all talk the same language so to speak! mind i’m like you i’m a bit of a magpie n i love gadgets n shiny shiny shiny shiny! saving my pocket money for a Brewtools system!🙄🤩 B40 or B80…one day! one day hehe! take care n i’ll catch you on the next one bud! Bri 🫡🍺
I really like your vids. Started brewing last year at a friends place who is already really into it. Now moved to another city and cant wait to buy a G40 and setup my microbrewery downstairs... Your Vids about brewing with the G40 are a really nice input for my plans and thoughts how to setup
Thank you so much for your kind comment, it’s knowing this that maked the filming and editing worthwhile! hope you get your G40 soon and good luck with the brews! 👌🍺
Looking good. I have so many more questions though on what half of this new kit does. It's like having a toddler that likes beer asking stupid things all day! 😂 Cheers for the mention, I'll probably setup a new channel for homebrew beer but will link to it from my main channel. 👍
Your first brew on the new gear should be a recipe you know and love. That way, you'll both enjoy the product, and also have a good idea if a bit of kit isn't doing what it should. Livestream: up to you. Maybe better live stream the second brew once you've had a run through to get familiar... take the stress down a notch.
Great job looks fantastic. I’m brewing a mosaic and citra IPA next and a pilsner with nova lager ( fancy either of them ? ) or a brew you can do with your eyes closed something you’ve brewed a few times before to make the first one easy cheers and nice work 👍🍻
I have the same Glycol chiller (actually the slightly newer version with touch buttons). I like it a lot. I recommend to let slightly more space to the rear wall, because the air intake is there.
Looks great and you're clearly chuffed. However, where's the beer engine Griffo? Surely you should be building around that essential piece of kit 😄 Once you've re-installed it, clearly the first brew is a good old best bitter! Well done anyway.
Ah thats a great haul man! Congrats and looking sweet! Reach out to Grainfather and im sure they will be happy to helpout with spares. Your practically a free advert for them with the amount of Grainfather kit you have at this stage!!! Congrats on the new brewery! Looking forward to seeing the upcoming videos
Well done mate it's looking well, when's too much kit 🤷♂️ I guess it's how long is a piece of string isn't it 😂 got to grab a bargain when you can cheers
Great little series really enjoyed thanks for sharing! To share my experience with the GF30 in my brew shed (also in S.Wales) when the shed got to the temps like we are experiencing now the internal heater of the GF30 just couldn't maintain the temperature to the suggested (US05 at the time) range even with its jacket on it. Stripping the fermenter down I found that the heating element is a very small 12v heating element mounted off to the side of the cone rather than a form of element wrapping around the inner skin. Will stay tuned to see if you experience the same issue or whether there is something off with my heating element perhaps.
Top work mate, really like the new layout, a good use of space there and what a touch on the new kit! Live stream all the way and you should brew a NZ Pilsner so I can swap some of mine with you ;)
Always love your vids! Beautiful set of “new” gear in your micro set up - a masterclass in maximising a small space. I recently bought a GC2 Chiller and used GF Conical, which alongside my GF40 has made brew days a few hours of enjoyable technical mastery.
Nice job. Looks like you've no room for RO under the sink now! 😂 I have the GF fermenter, great bit of kit. As far as a beer suggestion, perhaps something with a short boil, there are some 30 minute boil beer recipes out there. That way, you could test that fan and see how it handles venting before you commit to a full boil beer. Great series, looking forward to the brew.
Really enjoyed the series. Envious of the new kit! You probably already know this but the grainfather conical only heats up to 10°C above ambient, so during a cold snap/winter it might struggle with ale fermentation temperatures in your shed
@HomebrewGriffo you have your other 50L fermenter obviously, but it is worth knowing. Interested to know if you can swap out the older style fermenter control boxes for the new coloured screen ones, keep us posted!
Big congrats on al the new equipment. Now its time to brew a really nice Bock or Dubbel Bock to test out the glycol chiller and to have a nice winter beer.
The smile on your face.. 😊
Well done! Congrats! And a small tip, put some oil on the bar and shelf... makes it a lot easier to keep them clean. And enjoy your new brewery! 🍻
Cheers Thomas! Thanks for the tip! Shall look into that 👍
Your brewery looks fantastic, the smile on your face 😄 Cheers mate 🍻
Thank you so much, Took a lot of inspiration from your previous set ups! How is yours coming along? Cheers! 🍺

I have really enjoyed watching the brewery rebuild well done getting it all done in a month, look forward to watching your first brew of 2024
Cheers Pat, really appreciate your support!
Well done Griffo....
Definitely should do a 1st run live brew day :)
Cheers Lewis!
looks awesome- congrats!!
Came together nicely, well done.
cheers Richard 👍🍺
Well done looking good in the new brewery, what a good score on the brewing equipment well done.
Cheers Steve 👍🍺
Excellent work! Cheers!!
The newer controller which connects to your wifi is well worth the money and is easy to fit. All links up with Tilt too. 👌🏼
I didn’t know it links to the tilt as well! Love the kit already and i’ve no idea how it works yet! 🤯😂

I'm happy for you!

Great series this Griffo. Need to do a collab live stream!
Great idea! Love the thought of that 👌 Cheers
Good job Griffo...

Cheers Rick! I actually picked up some nova on the weekend from a homebrew bring and buy event we had at our club! Great suggestions thank you!

Glad you like it and thanks for the advice 👍
Great find got some very nice kit there, How about a Brown Ale ?
Thank you - great shout!

Congratulations on the new equipment!! Cheers 😀 👍 🍻

you can swap out the controllers. I did on both of mine, very simple.
Big congrats on al the new equipment. Now its time to brew a really nice Bock or Dubbel Bock to test out the glycol chiller and to have a nice winter beer.
Cheers mate, great suggestion!
Great job. How much was the new kit? You had a glint in your eye that makes me think it was a bit of a bargain.
Cheers Yeastface. But that’s top secret 😜 But what I can say, all parties were happy, including my mate Craig who got the G30 😉👍
Wicked stuff, been tempted by a glycol chiller but how do you warm it up if you're brewery gets too cold? Cheers
There are heaters in the fermenters, the chiller will stop circulating and the heating elements will kick in 👍
@@HomebrewGriffo damn, I've not looked at those, must be way out my budget! 😂 Thanks for the reply, I'll take a look
I guess given it is post-xmas, a low alcohol brew? but that wouldn't be a very good test.
Like a table beer? Maybe! Cheers
How effective are you finding the fan at removing steam?
Very effective - video has just gone up demonstrating this 👍
How much was that bundle, if you don’t mind?
I’ll be doing a vid on how much it all cost very soon 😉🍺
