I use the grainfathar fermenters with their glycol chiller. I got 4 of them and can make as much beer as I have time to make. They work great. In my opinion the warming function on the fermenters isn't nearly as good as the chilling function with their glycol chiller. It is insane how fast they can cool down wort/beer. I always try not to overshoot when I'm chilling down my wort before transfer to my fermenter as I know I can always chill it a little further to pitching temperature in no time. Great video thanks.
You have a real nice and clean setup. I got my G40 now and the first Pilsener is in the fermenter and just made its first "blob" a few minutes ago. I love this clean workplaces and especially your sparge solution. Gonna copy that next, but maybe we will built something that will work over the whole grainbasket. Cheers from northern Germany. We have bad brewing water at my place, so i had to think about deionised water and adding salt from the very first moment. What i found out is a nice solution by AFT. You can integrate it into your watersystem and it makes deionised water straight out of the tap. Its good for 300-600 liters depending on your water hardness. Than you can change the salt that makes the deionisation for around 10 € and you are ready for another 300-600 litres. And no wasted water like osmose systems. The system itself is around 140 Euro and i really like it. I dont know about your waterquality but i thought thats maybe something interesting for you ;)
Hi , thank you for your nice comment! I can't wait to have a crispy pilsner for the spring here in Wales. Water here isn't too bad to be honest but it's definitely an upgrade i'm thinking of (for general use as well as brewing!) Cheers
Looking good........camera angles are definitely better........best thing I've found with my SF50 is fitting a 90⁰ stainless elbow to the 3/4 dump on the bottom......
Shreks bath tub the descriptor of descriptives fantastic🤣😂🤣 looks like the new brewery performed amazingly you must be happy. I agree a sink is a game changer ( I don’t have that luxury) but one day 🤞 great vid as always cheers 👍🍻
That setup looks great! Really well thought out. Camera angle works perfect. I´m a bit jelous of the fan, haven´t worked out how I can fix that in my basementbrewery... Looked almost to easy to brew now.. Keep on brewing! Mattis Sweden
I sure do envy you, Griffo, I would love to have somewhere like that to brew, but I don't, so I have to brew outside and have to rely on the weather. You've got a cracking set up there now there, the perfect triangle 😂👍.
Great set up and great to see the videos back up ! Do you use Tap Water and treat with Campden tablet etc. and salts for the beer profile ? I've used RO water previously, but think Welsh Water is a good enough base so thinking of just treating my tap water 🍺👍
Hi Danno, thanks for the kind comment - yeah the water here is pretty good but I do treat for my intended profile and beer style - hoping to invest in a good RO system very soon! cheers
Great job Griffo I have exactly the same set up. I’ve done a couple of big brews IPA’s enough to fill both fermenters then used different yeast one a US-05 and Verdant the other a US-05 and Cali ale to be honest my friends and myself couldn’t taste much difference. I was hoping for more fruit flavour .from the verdant and cali ale. Iechyd da from Mike on Vancouver island
did you buy a food safe gardenhose? apperently if it was a cheap one... they add Lead... and different kinds of toxic metals to keep the hose flexible.
Do you only do full size batches in those big electric brew systems? I usually do 5 gallon batches in the smaller ones (grainfather and robobrew 30L). Didn't know if you could do smaller batches in the larger vessels. I feel like I'm always pushing the max grainbill to the max.
Great to see the changes and test Brew are working as anticipated and making a less stressful brew session. Cheers!
Thanks Daniel, It's definitely made things easier!
Nice to see you back on track in a brewshed that seems to work well! The cameraangles works! 🍻
Awesome - thank you!
Yes you can turn the sight glass to any angle you need
Awesome! thanks for letting me know 👌
As a home brewer and pro brewer I’ve definitely forgotten to shut a valve or two… lol. The setup looks great! 🍻
Haha I knew it!

Another great video, backdropped by a great looking shelf, glad the refurb has worked well
Haha cheers bro, glad you liked it! Great to see you this weekend x
What a lovley crib. 🍺 Enjoy
Thank you!
6:33 She made up for the dirty scale in 10 seconds. Impressive!
Haha thanks Kevin!
Very envious of that brewing space! Looks fantastic!
cheers mate 🍺

Well done Griffo. Great brewday
nice one dude, been waiting for this one, great to see your new space in use!
Cheers Rhys! 👍🍺
Looks a great setup now. So much easier and that's with bigger equipment too. Awesome work.
Nice shelf.
You and those bloody shelves! 😂 Cheers mate!
Looking good, how about putting your sparge water vessel on a turntable, it might save you having to push and pull it around.
Thank you, and that's an excellent idea!
Looks great mate, happy to see everything is working well
Thanks 👍
Looks great. The camera angle is better in my view anyway. Keep the brew days coming!
Thanks Chris!
Looks so much better.. awesome job,, bet you don’t know how you managed before… learning lots, love your vids
Thanks so much! Yeah I’ve spoilt myself now 😃
Looking much easier for brewday for you, maybe time to make the sparge square bigger? Cheers 🍻
Good shout! May get round to it on a quiet brew day 😜

Thanks for the comment, yeah I can see the the benefit of that bend! good shout, thank you!
Brilliant set up. Well thought out, and organised. Camera angles are looking good. Looking forward to see how your next brew of pilsner turns out.
Nice one, thanks Wayne!
Hi your new set up looks great. I would love to hear in detail how you calculate your water additions.
Kindest regards Lea
Hi Lea, thanks for the comment - I use Brewfather to calculate my additions - which varies based on the source water and intended profile 👍
Shreks bath tub the descriptor of descriptives fantastic🤣😂🤣 looks like the new brewery performed amazingly you must be happy. I agree a sink is a game changer ( I don’t have that luxury) but one day 🤞 great vid as always cheers 👍🍻
Cheers mate, appreciate your views and comments as usual 😍. Yeah a sink is a simple but massive game changer! 🙏🍺

Cheers mate, really kind comment and thanks for the canera feedback - year it was a breeze brewing that batch.

Thank you so much Hilary! That's a lovely comment!
Glad you're pleased with it mate after seeing the amount of effort you put in! Cracking video 🍻
Cheers mate!

Envious of your new setup !!
Following your build video's, I bought the same fan and it does do a great job.🍻
Awesome! Thanks for watching and trusting my judgement 😂

Hi Mike, thank you - i’ll definitely be doing split batches 🙌🍺
Looks like a really efficient set up mate, glad to see it's working the way you had planned. I could really use a sink too 😂
Haha its a simple game changer! thanks
Camera angels are perfect!
Cheers Lee
did you buy a food safe gardenhose? apperently if it was a cheap one... they add Lead... and different kinds of toxic metals to keep the hose flexible.
Yes, but I’m also looking for an RO water system 😜👍
Me 2 😂
Do you have a discord channel for this kind of talk?
@@alekschanna No sorry, i’ve not looked into that 😬
Nice! I'm brewing in the bathroom during winter, so a brewing shed is actually on my wishlist. 😂 🍻 Yours looks very nice!
Thank you! Get it built 💪

Hi Sunder, I usually do large batches but you can do small batches with the G40 👍
How did your stout endup is it worth a brew
Absolutely! I've shared a lot over the xmas period and had very good feedback 👍
Looks like my next brew then thanks
No worries, let me know how it turns out!
Regarding the camera angels, Get it closer to the Grainfather
Will see what I can do, thanks for the feedback
