In this video I create a dragon’s nest with a dozen pine cone eggs. I use a variety of materials and techniques to achieve the desired effects. The eggs are illuminated with flickering LED lights to give each of them a life of their own.
The resin I used was Opticast 2000 polyurethane resin from MBFG in Belfast.

This was also the first time that I’ve ever heard someone talk about the buffing wheel, always learn something new with your videos, Most of the time it’s not just one new piece of information either!
It’s awesome that we get to watch a lot of makers and be inspired by some but, people need to know how powerful of a tool they are using and the ramifications that can happen if safety isn’t a priority. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, experience, and safety concerns when turning

The Opticast resin is very low odour, both when mixing and turning, certainly the best I’ve used.

How brilliant! Fascinating as always, you do have such good ideas. I had one of those moments when two worlds collide - I watch Luke Towan's channel where he makes amazing miniature scenes, and he uses Woodland Scenics!
