The Arcade Timeline - Dewsbury (Local History Film) by Simon Reed

This stunning Victorian Arcade has been closed for many years and at the time of this production The Arcade Group were working hard to raise funds for its renovation, the hard work paid off and at the time of writing this work has started on restoring the arcade which is scheduled to open in 2025.
The Arcade Group will ensure it has suitable shops to attract people from far and wide, In addition to this there will be some entertainment space which in part be suitable for evening entertainment.
Simon Reed Productions wanted to reanimate the arcade, several shops are remembered in this historic look back in time and includes interviews with some familiar faces.

well done Simon very interesting especially about Autys i seem to remember Autys moving to opposite side of arcade

Thank you, I don’t recall Autys moving across to the other side but it may have done at some point.
They did have two shops side by side, I filmed in the one on the right. Thank you for your kind comments
