I use to be on to paintball from 12-18 years old. Even though Spyders were on the cheap end, I had the fully electronic Spyder EM1 with an 18" (I think) Stone Cold II barrel and an Apolocolypse carbon wrapped nitro tank. The size 88 is sticking out in my head for some reason. The tank was a tad on the larger side. It's the first gun controlled by a circuit board on the grips with dipswitches that allowed you to change from semi-auto, 3-shot burst and full-auto and then adjust how many bps for 3-shot & auto up to 20 balls per second. It wasn't perfect, bit she surprised the hell out of people at the field. The gun was finished in this blue chrome like finish. Trigger had much to be desired. IIRC, it had quite a bit of side wobble. It was adjustable, so you could make it so sensitive, just tapping the trigger made it shoot. Sheesh. That was over 20 years ago. At like 16yo, I was visiting my cousin in Allen, TX and there was a college team out there from Houston. After they watched me, their coach wanted me on the team. I didn't live in the state at the time. I was the fastest on the field anywhere I went. Said they saw a skinny kid in a t-shirt and shorts flying up the middle, at the start, getting to the 50 yard line from the gun. No one had gotten that far from the dig.
I honestly thought paintball died in place of airsoft. So, do people really still play pb? Are there any pro teams like there use to be in the late '90's & early 2k's?

2000-2006 was the best era of markers imo as far as aesthetics of the whole scene. Everything looks almost the exact same thing nowadays.
The problem with autocockers once timmys, DM’s and shockers started dominating the scene you had to upgrade the auto with the new eblade upgrade to get your BPS up you wanted the freak barrels as well usually and they had to be tuned and well maintained.
But the electronic markers were tournament ready right out of the box and were looking better and better every year. Speed and number of rounds down ranged started to matter significantly more than accuracy and eventually the accuracy came with it.
The most you had to do to one was maybe replace the board, maybe a different barrel. As long as we aren’t talking about making it fancy and aesthetically pleasing.

I didn't know that the autococker wasn't patented. Fun fact.
Not patenting it worked out really well for creating an autococker culture. Its a great throwback to the days of building guns from aftermarket parts and every gun reflecting the personal preferences of the player. I don't care what people said back then but ANS Autocokers were highly underrated. I had a 68 Automag classic also and I loved the fact I knew my gun most likely not tear up. Automags were the most rugged guns and cost efficient and had good accuracy. I liked my Autococker better for wood ball or speedball if you are shooting from the back of the team. Real Autocockers were the most accurate and long range paintball gun back in the day. You have to constantly tune and Autococker and are difficult to work on them.

      M170 over Gmek
The build quality and trigger pull much better. GMek first version M170 refined to the best 👈

Hey brad I’m looking to buy a new gun I want an Etha 2 but I was wondering if you had any other suggestions used or new. I love the vids btw

Etha 2 is the way to go 100%, and if you’re looking for a hopper ALWAYS use a spire 3, then other spires are uselessly overpriced

@@TampaTom Yeahhh had is few dye ltrs and rotors back awhile ago with my lv1.5, I did NOT have fun with it🤣 just decided with a good ol spire, since spires are like the Tipp 98’s of hoppers

autococker market is a lot bigger than you think. At least in the Midwest it's pretty big.

I can't deny that the new stuff is faster but, i've had a geo 4 and lv 1.6 go down on me but my 15 year old auto cocker has yet to fully die on me.

That is a beautiful gun. I don't think I'd have the patience to maintain something like that, but it looks like a blast to use.

So from what I understand Freeflow is polishing the 3-way internally before they ship them. That might be why the Freeflow worked better than what Docfire experienced.

It's possible. I assume if you can choose the anno freeflow is buying the parts without anno. So it would be an easy thing to do.

Buddy from FreeFlow posted a video on Facebook about this. He polishes the three ways, just as he did before way back when FreeFlow was started. Dye did drop the ball on this, but hopefully they are looking to fix in the future

Like mechanical mods and rebuildable atomizers vs disposables/dad vapes in the vape world or quartz terp slurpers/bangers vs a cart/stock puffco.

Still kick myself for ever selling my “clown” anno’d red white and blue splash revolution. It was perfect with the belsales slider frame. Could run a JT rev and not outrun it.

i think with all the new electric guns shooting 30fps, its refreshing to have something more mechanical like an autococker
