she placed 9th overall but i wonder where she actually placed in 9-11 solos, some sources said 5th but they were the same source that claimed gianina was 8th in hers (wouldn't make sense as she was 7th in all ages)

So I gathered some information based off the studios that attended. It seems like the competition did hand out awards for each age division in the solo categories, but I would assume that they did not hand out awards to the Dance Moms cast members who competed solos (GiaNina, Lilliana, Sarah) until the overall solo results were announced. Not sure if this was the same situation towards the Studio 19 dancers who also competed solos (Kaitlyn, Kensington, Louise).
Anyways, here is how the results would have worked for the dancers who placed in the top 10 overall solos of the competition:
      *7-8 Solo:*
*Kensington Dressing (from Studio 19 Dance Complex) - "The Arctic" (Contemporary) - 1st
      *9-11 Solo:*
*Lilliana Ketchman (from the Abby Lee Dance Company) - "Black Widow" (Acro/Gymnastics) - 1st
*Jaslyn Freitas (from Studio Bleu Dance Center) - "New Life" (Lyrical) - 2nd
*Eric Poor (from Studio Bleu Dance Center) - "Bring Him Home" (Lyrical) - 3rd
*Emma Cline (from First Landing Dance Center) - "Red Football" (Contemporary) - 4th
      *12-14 Solo:*
*Caiden Freimann (from Studio Bleu Dance Center) - "Jealous" (Lyrical) - 1st
*Louise Hindsbo (from Studio 19 Dance Complex) - "How I Miss You" (Open) - 2nd
*Kaitlyn Allen (from Studio 19 Dance Complex) - "Ave Maria" (Acro/Gymnastics) - 3rd
*GiaNina Paolantonio (from the Abby Lee Dance Company) - "Crossroads" (Lyrical) - 4th
*Sarah Georgiana (from the Abby Lee Dance Company) - "Shame" (Contemporary) - 5th
      *Solo Overalls:*
*Lilliana Ketchman (from the Abby Lee Dance Company) - "Black Widow" (Acro/Gymnastics) - 1st
*Caiden Freimann (from Studio Bleu Dance Center) - "Jealous" (Lyrical) - 2nd
*Jaslyn Freitas (from Studio Bleu Dance Center) - "New Life" (Lyrical) - 3rd
*Louise Hindsbo (from Studio 19 Dance Complex) - "How I Miss You" (Open) - 4th
*Eric Poor (from Studio Bleu Dance Center) - "Bring Him Home" (Lyrical) - 5th
*Kaitlyn Allen (from Studio 19 Dance Complex) - "Ave Maria" (Acro/Gymnastics) - 6th
*GiaNina Paolantonio (from the Abby Lee Dance Company) - "Crossroads" (Lyrical) - 7th
*Emma Cline (from First Landing Dance Center) - "Red Football" (Contemporary) - 8th
*Sarah Georgiana (from the Abby Lee Dance Company) - "Shame" (Contemporary) - 9th
*Kensington Dressing (from Studio 19 Dance Complex) - "The Arctic" (Contemporary) - 10th

@@LoomerE great analysis!! now it has me questioning something else, as Sarah was technically 12 at the competition, but Dream Maker would've determined the ages by Jan 1st 2019, in which case Sarah should've been competing 9-11, this was also the case in episode 2, it's still weird how they did the all ages overall as it's nowhere on their website, definitely just for drama, anyways now it makes sense that Sarah might've been 5th in 9-11 and GiaNina was 4th in 12-14

I would assume that while registering for episode 2's competition, Sarah's birthday hadn't passed yet, so she was still 11 at the time. By the time she turned 12, she was competing in 12-14 by this episode/competition. Two other Studio Bleu dancers placed 5th and 6th in 9-11 solos, so that means that Sarah competed in 11-12 as those two Studio Bleu dancers did not place in the overall solos.

@@LoomerE the thing that gets me is that Sarah was actually 12 in episode 2, but "Jan 1st" rule allowed her to compete in 9-11, and you can't change age divisions in the middle of any competition season (hence the Jan 1st rule), but yeah Dream Maker only has 9-11 and 12-14, so she couldn't have competed in a 11-12 one at this comp haha

@@LoomerE the competition was in may and her birthday was in January. Due to the unorganised nature of the show I assume she was 12 at the time of registering. However at dance competitions the age you compete is the age you were on January 1st, so for the entirety of 2019 Sarah competed at age 11. Meaning she was in the same division as Lilly, but not GiaNina.
