This solo was absolutely stunning !!! I only have one critique and that's to watch her balance on that leg hold in the beginning. That girl was phenomenal otherwise and there's a reason she has worked professional and it's because she is the full package in my opinion.

This and she can tend to have stiff shoulders sometimes especially in turns but not many people can easily fix that.

I love this solo, costume, and song. It’s probably my favorite solo from her on the show. I think it deserved a higher placement than it got.

This solo was so underrated I personally liked it better than Snowflake. I love the song with this solo and the costume as well. Even with the mistake I still can’t believe it placed 7th there must have been a lot of good dances that day I guess.

Yes. One was judged, one was filmed for the show. She fell out of her leg hold in this version but in the other version she didn’t

So I gathered some information based off the studios that attended. It seems like the competition did hand out awards for each age division in the solo categories, but I would assume that they did not hand out awards to the Dance Moms cast members who competed solos (GiaNina, Lilliana, Sarah) until the overall solo results were announced. Not sure if this was the same situation towards the Studio 19 dancers who also competed solos (Kaitlyn, Kensington, Louise).
Anyways, here is how the results would have worked for the dancers who placed in the top 10 overall solos of the competition:

Realistically, under usual dance competitions, especially for Star Dance Alliance competitions, Sarah wouldn't have been competing in 12-14. According to the rules, the age is concluded by whatever age the dancer is by January 1st of that year, so Sarah should have been dancing in 9-11. I guess a Dance Moms-specific competition altered it a bit for drama, especially since it was against her old studio….
