- In this interview, I partnered up with Florida International University's newspaper, The Beacon. I caught up with Max Green of Escape the Fate in Ft. Lauderdale, FL while they were on their Bury The Hatchet Tour with Falling In Reverse.
If I hear some new cool artists I usually illegally download something by them and then buy the physical albums as soon as I can. If I don't like the artist I won't listen to them anyway, just a couple of times to show them to some friends who may like them. Which is a positive thing I think. Anyways I have almost all my music library on cd or vinyl.
I've never downloaded any song illegally either. Why can't u just buy the music & support your favorite artist? They put so much of they're lives & hard work just for us. And besides, a song these days go for literally less than a cup of coffee.
Some of my good friends are musicians & when they give me free downloads, I take em, but then I go on itunes & buy it anyways. Loved the interview.
JayMchannelX Thanks! I'll have more up soon!
Cos not everyone can afford it, so they download the song until they can buy it...

Just curious, how do you feel about ripping music from RUclips? When a band I like posts an album stream, I use a perfectly clean (no viruses) website that doesn't condone illegal downloads to rip the low quality mp3 from the video. If I like the album, I'll then go out and buy it when I can because I like to support bands I like and also because the sound quality is miles better. So I sort of use it as a low quality demo rather than a permanent download. What's your thoughts on this?
I used to do that. Way easier than LimeWire, but I started buying CD's and about 90% of what I have is purchased with the exception of those songs from my downloading days. What you do is fine ! It's like what max said, he'd go watch the videos on youtube and buy the album later cause he really diggs the band. I use spotify but if the album is super crazy and i listen to it all the time then i go out and buy it to get that physical connection ya kknow?
Exactly. I do use Spotify, but I'm pretty on-the-go all the time and my commutes are pretty long. So I only usually use it for the radio feature at home when I want to find new music. I always felt bad for illegally "demo'ing" music, but I do buy the physical copy if I can, if I like the album. I was just curious about an opinion on my methods from a person who feels strongly about piracy. Anyway, cool video man! Keep it up!
This wasn't a bad interview at all, but please work on your speech. I really don't mean that in a mean way. I don't want to sound like a dick. Just trying to give you some constructive criticism
