Excellent instructions, thank you very much!! I’m am such a novice when it comes to computers, but with good instructions I can pick things up quite easily. I wish I was more into computers when I was at school, but they were just starting to become part of everyday world back then and there weren’t really any proper computer classes then. Now I see young kids at age 11 writing codes and I’ve no clue as to what they’re doing, but it’s impressive.

Dude thank you so much, it use to be so simple, right click on the website icon and add to home screen! I could not figure out how to do it, your vid was quick, clear and concise and did the trick! Thanks again! Just to add for others who don't know a particular full websites url... Just go copy it from your browser screen and paste in the area where he typed in Facebook as an example :-) cheers

If you are at a site and want to save a linkto it. Either touch or use the mouse to highlight, then right-click, select "cut" or "copy and either touch or left click. Then either leave or minimuse the site, use the method shownhere, but instead of typing the page, you will paste it into the message input box and then do the rest. Also you can make the link right in the folder you wish to keep it in

So I have all these Icons that look the same, i.e. Chrom Icon... How can I change the Icon to the Facebook icon??
Hi, its been over a month but hopefully i can still help you out.
step 1. download the facebook icon from google images.
step 2. right click the facebook shortcut and go to properties
step 3. go to web document
step 4. click change icon
step 5. click browse, and select the facebook icon image from your downloads.

Also you can open chrome go to the top left icon for apps and right click on youtube or which ever app and create a short cut on both start menu and desktop.

thank you so much for this video! it seems dumb, but I kept trying to create a shortcut and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work until I saw your video and you said type in www. and then the website address. aha, I was forgetting the www. and no one else was actually saying it but you.

I live in Nepal, retired American widow, and started an NGO to help Nepal. It's the second poorest country outside of Africa. I was wondering if a person could create such a button and put it on a website for donors to click on so they can go to the page I direct them to go to so they can help support us. Would you be willing to create a video about it? I couldn't find it via search on RUclips. If I could ask people to put it on their desktop and use it for shopping it wouldn't cost them anything and they would have the shopping portal more easily accessible. I think it would be better than patreon. Someone said there was a way to do it, but I'm not a detail person to figure it out myself.
