Mate, I went to one of those big Virgin do's in Chelmsford back in the 1990's probably to see Weller, but had my eye on going to see Sleeper and Kula Shaker as well. Sleeper were 3rd place in my 'Must see' list, I think like you I appreciated the look and ambiance of miss Wener and I pushed my way through the crowd of boys (I was in my 30's) to the front and found myself 20-30' from her on the stage and oh my God did she have something special, an aura, a presence that just had the audience and me absolutely captivated. She was amazing.
