I've never known her before. But I see her singing out of pure love. I appreciate the love in music once again after I lost it a long time ago. So I want to tell , Hollie, thank you so much.
Thank you guys for giving her a chance. Though she's young a high level competition she definitely got what it takes and having a chance is all she needs to gauge her potentials for her future singing career. Thumps up decision!
Three famous and sometime jealous singers not a three of them famous singers had a better voice then she did notice they weren’t judges long and the only reason Jen made it was because she could dance and was drop dead gorgeous and used music to further her acting career‼️
Wow, after going downhill and crying that much because of how nervous she was, I just really have to appreciate her talent for still trying her best and singing that great. Really tough audition she got right there.
sarah j She gave her a second chance, for example. Oh god, why are you guys so rude with her? I love what she does. She's not the best singer but I like her voice, and she does a lot of things apart from that (dancing, acting, writing, she's a fashion designer, phylantropist [another prove of her generousity], etc) and her concerts are just amazing, she has a large artist career and she's such a performer, so that's why she's there, and the girl sang amazing. So nothing more to say.
I know why J-Lo asked her to do one more song even though she went out of key a few times in her first song. She could hear that she had a nice tone to her voice and she had some good vocal control. It was just her key maintenance that was her problem but she sorted it on her second song. She was fortunate to get a second chance from J-Lo. Good for her.
Duc Luong Do, Kelly Clarson and Carrie Underwood became the most successful American Idol contestants. Talent like that rarely comes along too often. Kelly could sing the NYC phone book and do it very well.
Kevin Nguyen Telling people to "stfu" on the internet is sad. Correcting someone could actually help them, so they don't repeat the mistake when it counts. Grow up.
she was just to nervous at first and then her confidence dropped... she needed to be in the moment.I bet by herself she could of knocked the first song out of the park....so happy they gave her another shot.Even as upset as she was and still nervous she did it ...yaaaaaa. ..made me cry 😆geeee
So you know, she made it all the way to the final 40 in this here season(10), then she auditioned the following season making it all the way to 4th place.
Randy was right, she was pitchy all over the place. Anyone with ears can hear that. However, in her defence, it's horrific to ask amateurs to sing a cappella in an audition when the original artist definitely has a backing track in the studio, and is unlikely to be able to sing the same song alone. It's the most difficult thing to do in music.
Wow i thought she was great the first time. Its like when the judges say " that's a hard song to sing", if the singer doesnt song it better than well, they dont like it. I dunno
Yes but they often pick the ones that already have the IT factor, the ones that can easily win . The judges don't want to waste their time on training someone.
Yeah, what Chris said. You can only train someone so much in a couple months, and TV audiences won't watch a show where they don't see something worth putting their time into watching. Training someone who has some potential to the level where audiences find them amazing takes years, so producers tend to go with more of the people they think can make that progress in the short time that the show runs. That's rarely the people who start out only pretty good or decent.
+Matt M No, it's about making money for the show. And, if it weren't as sick as to be almost solely about that--then it would be a real competition, not a program/workshop. And if it were the pure competition, with money as an important secondary goal (but not the end all be all. Of course it's right and natural that the competition must remain far more than solvent. That's a given. But squeezing every possible dime out of the show, at people's expense, shouldn't be the goal), as it should be--it wouldn't be about helping them improve, but about finding the best candidate who was ready to go. If people want help, they need to seek it out in/from workshops, teachers, coaches, acting coaches, performance coaches, etc...People come to these auditions wholly unprepared, expecting the show to pay for their training. You as the talent are expected not only to pay for your own training, but to do it in advance of the audition. It's just like any job in life. You have to get the schooling beforehand. You can't expect the most illustrious jobs to teach you the most basic skills. It's hilarious that people expect, and even demand that when they show up at the interview, when they wouldn't do that at any other high-flying interview.
No, it's about exposing them to the world and juicing them with a triple A dose of publicity, recording and touring. American Idol is not a school for singing. Singers become better on their own anyway.
+BRK A you don't know that, because you can't say emotional people are not succesful :) because there is lot of them:D Actually everyone is , but maybe not too much as her but maybe we have something else more ^^ maybe eating too much , or smoke too much, or overexercising or overtalking or whetever ^^ so you get my point^^
BRK A Streisand took a break for performance anxiety. I am a musician, instrumentalist and this is something we all have to work on. Comes and goes and some people are just naturally better at dealing with nerves but that doesn't make them the best. She can improve and work on this. Just like anything in life. Good artists are very emotional where else do you think expression comes from?
she made the top 4 the year after this and now she has a single
she came so far
Wow. I was wondering how she was doing! Thanks 🌹
I'm glad they worked with her 👌👌
She was great, strong. made me cry too! sad tears at first but then tears of joy for her
I've never known her before. But I see her singing out of pure love. I appreciate the love in music once again after I lost it a long time ago. So I want to tell , Hollie, thank you so much.
She has an awesome voice!
She will go to Hollywood
Thank you guys for giving her a chance. Though she's young a high level competition she definitely got what it takes and having a chance is all she needs to gauge her potentials for her future singing career.
Thumps up decision!
Wow, she was really great! Who wouldn't be nervous with 3 famous singers looking at her, she's a natural.
The hardest thing to perfect is simplicity. I'd love to hear her sing something simple and sweet.
I could care less what anyone has to say about J-lo..she is amazing an has a big heart. Love her.
sarah j She gave her a second chance, for example.
Victoria Gómez i totally agree!!
that's the only big thing she has
Dr. Sandra Lee/ AKA Dr. Pimple Popper
I love these 3 judges, they were honest but also sweer to her.
Wow. Holly's audition was emotional. She really did well the second time around.

I keep crying myself. She's so amazing!
When the video started, I wasn’t looking & thought “wow what a beautiful speaking voice” & looked to see that voice was Steven Tyler.
aw poor girl she has a good voice just needs the right coach and more experience infront of people
Or just music in the background to hit right notes?

Love this judge’s panel
Tears in my eyes and chills about my whole body ,,, this is so beautiful.
Wow Holly has an amazing voice, under that pressure she came through which shows she has the making of a true professional !!!!!.
She has a good voice. and she is so young. She will have time to learn.
I think this is the best judging panel of all US+UK talent shows included and Randy is my favorite ever judge.

I'm loving her for her innocent and sweet
"Where's this girl going?"
"She's going to hollyWOOOOOOOOOOD".
she made me cry!! good job! great voice! she loves to sing!!
Not every one can sing Kelly Clarkson chosen songs from idol. She is legendary
Duc Luong Do, Kelly Clarson and Carrie Underwood became the most successful American Idol contestants. Talent like that rarely comes along too often. Kelly could sing the NYC phone book and do it very well.
She is now in the top 12 and sounds amazing!!!
She sang with her soul, and the judges heard with their ears.
The judges heard with their ears? What were they suppose to use to hear....their asses?
Dave Hedspinn Lmao
Dave Hedspinn Supposed to*
***** Stfu grammar nazi. Correcting people on the internet is just sad
Kevin Nguyen Telling people to "stfu" on the internet is sad. Correcting someone could actually help them, so they don't repeat the mistake when it counts. Grow up.
This girl has great voice!!!!
I loved the first song way better. she just sped it up. but if that's the way she likes it she's her own artist.
she was just to nervous at first and then her confidence dropped... she needed to be in the moment.I bet by herself she could of knocked the first song out of the park....so happy they gave her another shot.Even as upset as she was and still nervous she did it ...yaaaaaa. ..made me cry 😆geeee
she placed fourth in the 11th season!

OMG...such tough skin to take this kind of pressure and do a come back like that. I wish her the very very best!!!!
she step up 1 fret of the note,,that made it beautiful
I wish I could sing that good
To fall apart the way she did and yet continued on was impressive, she proved herself worthy...... NEver GiVe Up.... 😎
So you know, she made it all the way to the final 40 in this here season(10), then she auditioned the following season making it all the way to 4th place.
i was rooting for her since last season!
"I believe she believes" EPIC !
Aw she is so sweet.

thatawkward moment when she sang the first one better than the second one thatsaved her ass.
she sang good while crying..i appreciate that.
She deserved a YES, not bad at all but not "amazing". Fuck, I can't sing like that
This is what I like about American Idol. Moments like this
Damn...she made me believe..had me crying
Denise Hunt

She has talent she is just a bit afraid of the stage
TRUE
didnt control my tears..life is a climb juz be strong and keep pushing.
She definitely has a strong voice. She just needs training.
Roy Wright yep
she's got an awesome voice
of first of all she was GREAT, wtf
Sweet - mom and dad waiting outside with a big hug. Nice.
The melody was bad. But her voice is good.
If you see this Botox Steven Tyler double, you cant sing a melody! ;)
Congrats Holly, That took a lot of guts and you pulled it off!
that was a co incident, wow, singing a song while crying very related. amazing audition
She jumps from one scale to another. Nothing some training can't fix, cuz she did have a good voice.
I miss Steven on American idol
I miss luei ;-;

She looks like kristen stewart
oh yes! somebody said it
na man kristen belle you mean
Sulav Waglay lol it's true
Lol yes she does. :)
She does not look like either.
The Climb is an amazing song! Miley sings it with her whole heart and so does that girl! SHe deserves Hollywood! :)
Poor young soul. Got her heart teared apart by a person who can't even sing the happy birthday song!
Randy was right, she was pitchy all over the place. Anyone with ears can hear that. Stupid comment.

We are finally having wonderful weather...Have a wonderful summer
Wow i thought she was great the first time. Its like when the judges say " that's a hard song to sing", if the singer doesnt song it better than well, they dont like it. I dunno

@ bb .
The little engine that could, did! Listened and worked hard to improve every single week! She made top 4 season 11!
Isn't the show about helping them become better
Yes but they often pick the ones that already have the IT factor, the ones that can easily win . The judges don't want to waste their time on training someone.

It's not a singing class lol. They don't have time to teach people to stay in tune lol.
She can Sing. Glad She bounced back. So Happy for Her~~~
Wtf she sounds fine wtf
The fact that she cried tells me that this meant a LOT to her! And it's all about song choice, obviously the 2nd song was much more suitable for her.
If only simon Cowell was there, it wouldn't of been a second chsnce.
do you live in hollywood
Jurrell Jackson true talent shows
everyone needs to start somewhere be your own motivator and don't listen to others that's the best way to be
Jurrell Jackson there wouldn't have been?
her voice is beautiful
She is an Real Angel..
4:34 so cute
omg she sang the climb I love her. She must be very nervous but I'm glad they let her try again.
poor darling is so nervous
I don't think she could emotionally handle such a career
+BRK A you don't know that, because you can't say emotional people are not succesful :) because there is lot of them:D
Actually everyone is , but maybe not too much as her but maybe we have something else more ^^ maybe eating too much , or smoke too much, or overexercising or overtalking or whetever ^^ so you get my point^^
+Fuzzy D Pozzy correct which is why I said "I don't THINK" she could handle such a career and not I KNOW she couldn't

I thought her voice was amazing the first time around.. I kept on waiting for a punch line or an 'I'm joking you're in'.
Nice beautiful voice girl. Talking to you. Where ever you are now, keep rolling and moving then mountains. Good luck beautiful one. Pretty eyes!
Give her a frickin break!!!
