crocheting a mesh sweater with $50 yarn!! It came out so cute- but what should I make next??? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ #crochet #crochetfashion #beginnercrochet
Okay but to be honest… even though this yarn was a little on the expensive side it’s definitely worth it!! It’s mostly Merino wool and made from sheep that are well taken care of and loved. Not to mention the colors are one of a kind!!
Try getting it wet and hanging to dry on a hanger!!! It will look really good!! I think you should do it with one that has a repeated or no pattern because you don't want to stretch out the pattern!
Have to agree. Once I worked with a finer more expensive yarn, I’m now looking at my acrylic stash a tad less lovingly 😂 Love your top. A shrug to match would be a fun complimentary piece.
That is my experience as well but I'm determined to go through my collection. I just realized that wearables are better with a blend or something besides acrylic.
yup! took me like a year of learning how to crochet with a bunch of acrylic when one day i just realised that almost everything acrylic I've made feels terrible to wear eventually 😅 I'm probably gonna be more selective in the future (unless the yarn is super duper pretty)
Acrylic yarn is great for hats and scarfs, shawls and vest, and jackets and blankets or anything that you wear on top of your clothes. It won't irritate or itch your skin.
@@shonamalone914 oh I’m not knocking acrylic. There’s just a big difference working with it vs natural fibers. I realized my hands were getting irritated by the acrylic. Little itchy white bumps🤷♀️ I’m not noticing it with natural fibers.
@@sharbear1968 Oh, very understandable.. Yes, if it causes irritation while crocheting with it or wearing it, I would be reluctant to use it as well. I found out recently I love working with the soft Cotton yarns. I'll have to venture out and try more natural fingers as well. Thanks for your response. Have a great day.
It's a product that involves living animals... it SHOULD be at least this expensive. We are just used to animal products beaing unfairly cheap. Which just means more animal exploitation.
That’s the trouble with knitting and crocheting these days. I love knitting but I can’t afford to bloody knit anything- the wool is SO expensive a sweater or something comes out about 60 quid. I don’t have that kind of cash to spend on clothes
It is good idea when you making a gift for someone (important). Or making something timeless that you know you will be wearing for years. For everything else I would need to be a little bit wealthier to afford this 😹
A short skirt to wear with it. It's so beautiful, and good quality is really nice! Even if you only can afford it once in a while, you should give your self that experience! ❤❤❤
Wow! You sure did attract a lot of ignorant, rude, haters on this post. I think your splurge, and end result is very creative! You did a nice job! Wear it, rock it, and the haters can put a sock in it! You go girl! Don't mind the naysayers, they're just envious and simple.
Bendiciones.Saludos 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽❤❤❤❤❤
To each her own! I think she's learning that quality materials are worth the cost. Beautiful things come from beautiful materials and were supporting a small sustainable business instead of supporting corporate Chinese made cr@p.
Oh please give that a good blocking it will open those stitches up. ( and yes, lay flat to dry) Beautiful as it is now thou but would love to see the pattern after blocked.
Extremely pretty design, very nice! How many grams was each ball? I know you said below that you used a certain tutorial for the stitch but do you have a guide or pattern for the top itself please? I love the style of it and the 70's flower shapes, really lovely!
I'm curious to know what or who inspired you to Love Crochet & what influenced you especially in your childhood I think it could be great advice for parents to pass on as so many young people have No interest love from Australia 🦘😎👍
GUYS!! I decided to make a matching skirt to complete the set ☺️ video just posted
I was gonna say shorts but a skirt is good as well 😊also maybe a bandana too?
You never have to justify a yarn purchase. IYKYK ❤
I think you got ripped off. That is an outrageous price.
Awesome! I was gonna say shorts lol!
Where's the "kinda" part?
She bought two so she spent 100
It cost her $50.... but she ended up getting 2 so it ACTUALLY ended up costing her $100.
Which is my biggest issue.
I always buy way too much yarn that ends up sitting around
Ghese people are wrong she’s saying kinda because each ball was prolly like 25$ and she says that she bought 2 of them. That’s why she said said kinda
@@sebastianlara4436 "it was $50 per ball and i had to have it."

Yes the colors are gorgeous
OMG, MY FAVORITE COLORS, A SCARF WOULD BE GORGEOUS. PLEASE SHARE HOW YOU MAKE ONE❤
It wasn’t but it’s your money
@@Leslie-qj1dd :(
@Leslie-qj1dd Your opinion. Totally worth the pretty yarn for a special make for you or someone you love.
If was $50 then my suggestion is make another top n sell it to get money back !
crocheting takes ALOT of time, the money sometimes is rlly not worth the time ngl...
Try getting it wet and hanging to dry on a hanger!!! It will look really good!! I think you should do it with one that has a repeated or no pattern because you don't want to stretch out the pattern!
thanks for the tip!!
@@urcrochetbabeI wouldn’t do that, you’re not supposed to hang wool knits at all, especially when they’re wet as they’ll stretch a ton
@@sofam9645 hmmm okay I’ll do some extra research! Thank u
Aren’t you supposed to wash it and then pin it to dry? That way it doesn’t stretch.
@@bethebelle2810yh ur suppose to block ur crotchet projects, esp if it’s things like clothing.

What type of wool? The most expensive I've come across in NZ is Alpaca or Possum $50-$70 50g. The softest cuddliest wool is so worth it!
Beautiful shirt . You did a beautiful job .
