The first time I watched this anime, I didn’t cry to the song. I felt so hurt and sad, of course, but it didn’t hit the way it did this year. I rewatched given and when I got to the episode, it’s like I could really relate to the lyrics. I’ve gone through quite a bit so when mafuyu said he doesn’t know how to cry, how to react, so he runs. He runs away or turns away. I really felt that. Where he finally meets someone that’ll be there for him, to lean on, I finally found someone like that after everyone left me. The song really hit hard and when he screamed, I could feel pain. So I cried finally. And I cried hard.
