Turned out that he was contemplating suicide and after I played it for him that he decided that that was not the answer and told customer service that that hymn saved his life? Wow! This lady stopped by today and requested several songs! 😇🙏❤️❤️
Absolutely amazing playing Patsy - I wish I could play as well as you! And many thanks to Tom too, for filming these excellent videos. I discovered your playing through your Mrs Mills medley and have been hooked since. Your style is just amazing - recording-contract worthy, I'd argue. This video in particular has blown me away with how quickly you were able to start playing the lady's request for 'Calcutta'. By the way, do you happen to know of another English pianist by the name of Russ Conway? He was incredibly popular here in the late-1950s and early-1960s (just before Mrs Mills) and played a lot of the old classic evergreen tunes in a similar (but distinct) style. He also wrote many of his own compositions, my favourite being 'Side Saddle' which topped the charts in the UK in 1959. It would be just amazing to hear you play that or perhaps some of his other tunes such as 'Roulette' or 'China Tea' as 2025 marks 100 years since his birth and 25 years since his death. Of course, no problem if not. Keep 'tickling those ivories'! Best wishes, -Peter

I have been compared to Mrs Mills for more than one obvious reason and what a great compliment that is! You are so nice to suggest that I record. I have made home recordings but it’s not marketed in any professional way. I love what I do on RUclips and I play for God’s glory, not my own! It has been a great gift 🎁 since age three and I truly don’t want to prosper financially from it. A side note: Tom did an interview with me if you want to hear it. Just type in Patsy Heath Interview and it should come up for you. Yes! Without Tom’s help I would not be on RUclips at all, so we work hand in glove for sure!
