    I have my Mums needle book. She made it at school and would be 85 if she were alive today. It’s in good condition and very precious to me

    I'm just so fascinated by slow stitching and have been making small pieces. I love this project and will be making one soon. I have tremors in my hands so slow stitching is really a great way for me to be able to create but not have to "stay in the lines" of traditional embroidery. I love all your videos. Keep them coming!

    Love this one...can i ask you what kind of felt you use and how thick...can't wait to make one for myself...glad that i found you🥰

    • @peaceofpi-studio
      @peaceofpi-studio  9 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! I get felt from my local quilt shop. It comes on a bolt and is sold by the yard. It’s a little less than 1/8” thick. It’s very soft and nice to stitch through. There’s also a craft variety of felt that isn’t as soft and I don’t recommend as batting. You can tell the difference by touching it. If it has a plastic or stiff feel, give it a pass. Another option is thin cotton quilt batting which is a bit thicker at about 1/4” 😊🧵🪡I hope you enjoy making your own!😊

    I’ve been working on this today. Love it and Thankyou. May I ask what the reason is for only stitching three sides of the inner felt piece?

    • @peaceofpi-studio
      @peaceofpi-studio  Год назад +1

      I’m glad you’re making one! I didn’t want the felted wool piece to be flat against the back for durability and for ease of putting in and taking out the needles- I like to put the sharp end in and then out about 1cm down. My thinking was the felted wool would have more ease and give when stitched this way, hopefully making it last longer. Stitching all sides would work well too though! 😊🧵🪡
