need help! can't flash twrp into my device, it's stock recovery, what should I do?
When you try to enter the "download mode" the tablet should be DISCONNECTED FROM ELECTRICITY/COMPUTER! It didn't work for me when it was connected. so take the cable out of the tablet.
I followed the steps in the video for my samsung tab 2 p5110, but the superSu was a problem it did not like lineage os 13. However i was able to get Gapps to working using the pico zip.I can only get Root in ADP mode so far but it is a big improvement from Kitkat. Thank you for the video you brought my old Tablet a new lease of life !

If you are having trouble getting to the twrp menu, uncheck the auto reboot button in odin. then restart the system after the ordin download is finished on the computer

Hm, I tried installing the pico Gapps but they give an error at startup and don't work.
Any idea how to install them properly?
Resize the system partition and re-install the gapps.

to install gapps do i wipe and reboot after installation of lineage or do I install it without rebooting?
You need to wipe and resize the system to be able to install the gapps. Then you can reboot.
what do i wipe and what options do i choose? is there a resize option within twrp?

Same happened to me. Install version 2.8.4.0 instead. You can then upgrade to 3.1.0
the one I hve (espresso3G) is not in the list anymore. Do you have the other link to download ?

You need to google it, I'm sure there are some mirrors out there :)

You didn't mention copying those two files (Lineage OS and Gapps) to your external card. Some may get confused.

You need to resize the System partition.
In TWRP, go to Wipe - Advanced - select "system" and then Resize. After this, install the Gapps, reboot the device and then you should have the Google play store. :-)
TWRP > Install > Open Gapps.zip
That should be done after the install of lineage.zip

No indicas donde descargas las google apps para esta rom
Dependiendo de tu version, las puedes descargar de aquí www.lineageosrom.com/2016/12/download-gapps-for-lineage-os-all.html luego de que tengas la play store, puedes descargar otras aplicaciones normalmente.

Hola, estoy intentando instalar GAPPS, pero al hacerlo y reiniciar no llega al final de la instalacion, se queda pillado a mitad y no sigue.
No he tenido ese inconveniente, no sabria decirte que pasa.
Estoy usando el modelo p5113 pero descargué la versión p5110 del TWRP. El problema es cuando la cargo al Odin y conecto la tablet, no dice que fue agregada.
Lo logré resolver usando el cable original Samsung. El problema ahora es que no puedo entrar en modo TWRP. Encendí la tablet usando el Power button + Volume Down, pero me sale el menú normal de Android Recovery System.
Resuelto. Solo tenía que deshabilitar la función de auto-reboot en Odin y luego hacerlo manualmente (el reinicio de la Tablet).
Otro problema, cuando quería hacer la instalación no me salían los archivos que tenía en la microSD. El problema era que estaba en formato NTFS y no FAT32. Formateé mi microSD con FAT32 y ahora sí salen los archivos :)

Nada macho, con el TWRP 2.8. y con las gapps no me deja tío, se queda en bucle iniciando pero nada...
Roberto, usa el TWRP 3.0 Con ese no te dara problema. Yo usaba una version anterior y me daba problemas, use la 3.0 y salio perfecto.

It doesn't work for me, when I install TWRP on it, the tablet reastart and I can't boot on the TWRP screen. And I don't know how to install the 3.1.0 because i need to be rooted to install the app. help me please!!
I boot on the stock android recovery.
Flash the stock room, then install the TWRP 3.1 and follow the video instructions :-)
You dont need to be root to install TWRP ;-)
have the same problem. made 3 attempts to install TWRP with odin all of them successful. but as soon as odin says it is successful - the tablet turns on with a samsung system and works as usual. it doesn't enter the system shown in the video (TWRP).
so i made a factory reset and have a fresh original version or rom that came with a device. and youre saying that i should instal an original rom over it?

i'm trying to use the EXACT version she's got in this video, twrp 2.8.5.0. for p5300. p5100 and p5110 didn't work for me.
my friend made this lineage thing on my tab 2 today (he is a pro, so for sure he made it right) with I think Android 7 and it slows the tab down BEYOND useage....its literally unusable...anybody had the same issue?

A mí no me funcionó con Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 [P5100] y TWRP 2.8.5.0p5100 . Usé la versión wifiexpress. He intentado descargar la TWRP 3.1.0 pero no la encuentro, ¿desde donde la puedo descargar?
Pude seguir los pasos hasta el minuto 2:10, a partir de ahí me sale una pantalla con Andy noqueado y un menú similar al de TWRP pero con menos opciones.
No puedes usar compilaciones de espressowifi (por ejemplo, P5110) para la versión 3G del tablet. Deberás buscar y descargar las versiones correctas tanto de TWRP como de Lineage OS (custom rom) Si usas la de wifi no funcionarán y correrás el riesgo de dañar el tablet

You can now install LineageOS 14 and Gapps 7.0 but that is as far as it will go. Android Andi found something better to do with his life.

I'm sure you've moved on, but LineageOS is no longer being maintained for Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. However, a previously released ROM can still be installed as well as Google Apps (linked elsewhere in comments).

For you, or anyone else who sees this, when it came to installing Gapps it was successful, but once I swiped away the lock screen, the tablet immediately wanted a Google account log in. That's where the "Install Wizard" crashed when I would try. I disabled the wifi (this could be unnecessary) and rebooted. As it was booting and "readying" the various apps and I could navigate the home screen, I went to the Play Store. Because I had disabled the wifi, it couldn't connect. I enabled the wifi, re-opened Play Store and attempting to sign in. It crashed, with no prompt as to a reason, but when I attempted again I was able to carry on through with the process and all is up and running fine, Play Store and all! Once you have the ROM, just do as is done in the video.
I'll repost this as a standard comment so anyone can see this and know where to go if they "Sort By New".

hola, tengo la tab 2 7.0 P3100 y resulta que debería ser lo mismo, y a mi nisiquiera me funciona lo de Odin, me dice fail, alguna idea de que debría hacer?
¿Estás usando la ROM para tu modelo? download.lineageos.org/espresso3g ¿También usas la ultima versión de Odin? odindownload.com/ Odin V3.12.3 - descomprimes el rar y dentro de la carpeta, haces clic derecho y ejecutar como administrador. ¿Tu computador reconoce la tablet?, quizás también deberías actualizar los controladores de tu tablet en el PC para que no haya problema de conexión. ¿La depuración está activa?, revisa esos puntos, son esenciales para que funcione. Saludos!
todo realizado siguiendo todas las instucciones, el odin es la última versión, los controladores, etc...
en odin queda pegado en la parte que dice "Get PIT for mapping.." bueno, creo que no funciona en tab 2 7.0 P3100, gracias de todas formas.

After this, flash the Gapps and reboot the tablet. You should have the Google play store now.
