    Daisy Ridley really is one of the best parts of the new movies. Honestly it's rarely the actor's faults it's almost always the fault of the scripts, and the plot of these movies.

      Yea Daisy was great her character however wasn't she was a total Mary Sue who never lost a fight, never needed any help from anyone, had things handed to her and didn't struggle with anything or earn her abilities and had zero training.

      @@andrewcabral963 I don't know I saw her struggle plenty, and while she may never have lost a fight she did sure have a few fights end in a draw.

    • @andrewcabral963
      @andrewcabral963 7 месяцев назад

      That's bullshit when did she ever struggled with anything also did you forget that bullshit moment when she beat Kylo who had years of training under Luke Skywalker even though she had zero training with a lightsaber and left a scar on his face?@@kamron_thurmond

      @@andrewcabral963 Did Kylo die? No, that fight was a draw.
      She literally spent her entire life up to that moment she met Finn struggling on Jakku. Then she eventually got captured, and fought a HEAVILY WOUNDED Lylo (remember he got shot in the stomach by Chewbacca, and Finn hit his shoulder. Everyone seems to forget the guy was in bad shape when Rey was able scratch his face a bit.) 1 win 1 loss to each. I consider a the whole thing to be draw, because if you re-watch that fight you'll see that she got knocked out. Kylo technically won the fight. She only got back up because Finn bought her enough time to recover.
      Then most her on screen moments in episode 8 was her struggling to learn crap from Luke.
      In episode 9 she flat out died until Kylo gave up his life force for her.
      So yeah. Maybe calm down a bit a rewatch those movies without whatever it is that made you only focus on the stuff you didn't like about it.

    As a lifelong Star Wars fan (pre-Disney) this is honestly the first time I am hearing that Jar Jar was a racist stereotype. My friends and I all just found him annoying and geared towards little kids.

    • @vaderfly725
      @vaderfly725  7 месяцев назад +3

      Yeah, it is actually crazy when you look back at the history of it all. Disney were definitely trying to use his self-deletion as a reason why the fanbase was "Toxic" when you actually look into it is allot more tragic than fans not liking jar jar. The media ran him out of Hollywood and the entertainment industry that he dream to be apart of more or less quietly blackballed him just for playing Jar Jar and that was it.

    • @andrewcabral963

      I didn't mind Jar Jar I feel like most people took the Prequels for granted and didn't appreciate what they were given from a man who put more effort into writing and storytelling then KK and Disney and even Rian and JJ ever did.

    • @kendrathompson5207

      The original story of Jar Jar was that he was working for Palpatine and manipulating Padme to sign over her power. The story was kept up a little bit because Padme ends up temporarily handing over power to Jar Jar and then he hands the power over to Palpatine. The goofy persona was a cover. It was never really explained properly. Like a lot of things in the Prequels. Either the films needed to be longer or they needed to fit in another trilogy in that time period so that events were explained fully.

    Why are people ripping on Jar Jar when Ryan and Kathleen are definitively infuriating? Jar Jar's way fuckin cooler than any writing the "sequels" came up with.

    • @vaderfly725
      @vaderfly725  7 месяцев назад

      Because Disney desperately wanted to paint the fanbase as something that it wasn't so they tried to use the near self-deletion and say it was racism from the fans when it was, shock of all shock the media.

    Hell, my problem was cancelling the continuity. I can't say much about the acting since I've only ever seen 'Rogue One.' All other Ji$ney fanfilms are out of continuity &...ok ok...for some reason I wanted to see the grav-train wreck that was 'Ahsoka', but I've seen nothing else they've produced. Wrong continuity. I guess i'm glad she's defending the fans...but too little too late. That pre-production promo shot of all of the principle actors of 'The Farce Aweakens' is where that shoulda happened. She, he, they might've even been able to garner help from the others & tell them to shove their new shit right up their collective asses.

    Daisy Ridley has had a tough time for something that isn't really her fault. It's down to the writers and directors. There are some actors and actresses who actively blame the fan for not liking things and parrot the ideologies. Sorry for stealing your words, but they are well chosen. I'm from the UK and although we heard about the backlash on racial stereotypes with JarJar, most people didn't see anything there and simply found him annoying. I will admit though that when it came to Avatar, I did feel the racial stereotypes of Na'vi tribal culture to be very prominent. Lastly Henry Cavill. I don't know him as much as some people might but he truly seems like a decent guy. Grounded, relatable, honest and most importantly he has values that he sticks up for. My issue was what I saw to be blind support for his Warhammer Project as soon as it was announced. People ignored the fact that Amazon had butchered the very essence of Lord of the Rings. They ignored how Games Workshop had treated the very people who had built their business in favour of diversity and inclusion. The support was instant as soon as his name was attached and despite feeling that he is personally a really wholesome human being, I had concerns.

    Even the greatest actors can only do so much with what they are given. ( ie script.)

    For the majority of the fan base we want to here about the stories coming up, but all we hear is it about giving female actors a leading role, how the old films are so out of touch with the modern world, etc... so even the average person that goes to watch these films and not ones that know the lore are thinking so this is about preaching to us your politics. Why would we want to watch these films even if the actors are great in them, we go to see the story not to be preached to. They just need to get back to telling stories period

    i think Daisy had the looks and personality to become a fan favorite, and the script just absolutely wasted her potential, along with Boyega's. if she was actually just a strong feminine character like Princess Leia, or even a tough self made woman like Gina Carano's Cara Dune, she could have helped Adam Driver carry the franchise.

    • @vaderfly725
      @vaderfly725  7 месяцев назад

      Absolutely agree wit that. I have stated this before if they wrote her with more likeable qualities. She would be universally loved and we wouldn't be having this conversation today. I have no hate towards Daisy but to Ryan and the heads of Lucasfilm that really did her dirty.
