I had a lot of fun with this movie! Some story struggles and plot issues for sure but the chemistry between Ryan and Hugh soared and the characters of Deadpool and Wolverine as this odd couple through this multiversal adventure was what made this movie worked. I don’t think it saved the MCU, but it put a nice button on the end of the Fox Marvel franchise while being hilarious and 100% authentically Deadpool. Great review!

Love the video man, and I loved the film Felt like a real Deadpool comic, just a bunch of fun. I would say if your in it for the plot it isn't there as the film focuses on a chain of fan service moments tied with jokes and a light story line, honestly was loads of fun. Especially growing up on fox (and always having a soft spot for it) As for saving the MCU I don't think the film even wanted to, without spoilers but the way it ends I'd say they just wanted to make something from the heart

This a raw and sizzling take but i think Advent children is immaculately well written. Even if it doesn't end up being canon and the story matures beyond it, it was still just so succinctly beautiful and telling.

A big part of why I joined your channel was because of videos like these. The emotional depth you bring make these characters feel so real because they connect to our human experience. Although I am a massive Sci-fi fan I would say I like the franchise rather than love it. I've been corrected several times that Star Wars is Science Fantasy but it the Sci-fi that appeals to me. In a way I saw the original trilogy in reverse, Return of the Jedi was the only one we had on VHS and I watched it over and over and over again. The redemption part was drilled into me before having more knowledge of New Hope and Empire. Attack of the Clones is my favourite of the Prequels because of the emotional weight of Anakin's journey. Two things that I enjoy when it comes to forgiving others and forgiving yourself are Godzilla Minus One and the Animated Avatar the Last Airbender. My only regrets are outcomes, I don't regret my actions. It will never be 100% acceptance as I still think about the moments that matter to me. I carry them with me as tools to inform future decisions but not as an anchor to hold me down. I know that I have hurt people in real life, it was never my intention to hurt them. The road to hell being paved with good intentions is not always understood the way it should. Those intentions lead to tangible actions, they were not mere hollow thoughts. I would still rather do the wrong thing for the right reason. Even though we all fail from time to time, we have to try to be good people and not leave it down to luck or fate. Forgiveness can be just as complicated, we judge others and others judge us. Sometimes fairly, sometimes unfairly. Sometimes people ask for forgiveness only because they got found out and want to appease only their own conscience. Others feel genuine regret and seek forgiveness from the ones they hurt as the path towards their own forgiveness. Some genuine love and respect to you.

Love the music choice sometimes I listen to some videos with that music with Batman in the background to fall asleep to I love all heroes Marvel and DC and some from outside both brands but this music set to a video of Batman staring out at Gotham City is quite a nice metaphor for taking online and no matter what happens keep moving forward and not giving up just like Batman does

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is hands down the best Batman movie. I don't get why people hold live action to such a high standard. In my opinion animation will always be better suited for superheroes. I mean animation has given the definitive adaptations of some of the most iconic superheroes. Kevin Conroy is the definitive Batman. No live action version can ever compare to Kevin's Batman. The amount of heart and soul he put into that role is unmatched. I wish DC would focus more on animation that's their specialty. The cinematic universes just feel like generic action hero movies to me.

Great video! I’m a professor in storytelling and character development for animators and I’ve worked for Marvel. I’d love to work for companies like DC and Lucasfilm too. :) I do have some constructive criticism, but I don’t want it to discourage or upset you! I only say the following so your videos can improve. You’ve already made a video essay which is more than many can say. I would say to summarize less and let us hear YOUR thoughts on the movie more. Any of us can watch Mask of the Phantasm and hear its awesome music. Just make a vid on your take! I suggest watching HiTop Film’s Mask of the Phantasm video. He talks about what the movie means by using his experiences and style/voice more than he summarizes. In other words, the ending is more of what we want to see! Just do that and use Batman footage instead of random stock footage. If we’re watching this video, obviously we’ve seen Mask of the Phantasm already. Unless this was a for a school project where you have to summarize. In that case, that’s fine. Also, I noticed you used a lot of buzzwords and phrases that other people use for Batman overall that don’t really have to do with the movie. Like “one bad day.” This movie isn’t really about that. I know you’re probably a Batman fan just getting the phrase from The Killing Joke and applying it here, but it definitely was more than just one day for Andrea. Is this scripted or improvised? I promise I’m just saying this so your videos improve-a lot of your words just sound like you’re making it up as you go along. You should definitely write scripts, it’s more work, but I promise it’ll make your videos better. You definitely have a future! This video essay reminds me of stuff my friends and I made in high school. Just remember not to be an echo chamber and focus more on the ideas you GET from the movie rather than the ones that are inherently part of it already. Who knows? Maybe some day you’ll work on a project with Bruce Timm and/or Paul Dini. Just keep going!

It takes courage to be open about things and there are a lot of things to unpack. Firstly I hope you can centre yourself and that there are people around to help you. Another commenter has touched on this, having a giving personality can make it hard to accept those gifts back. There are people out there who are unfeeling or selfish, but there are people out there who want to do things for you because it makes feel good in the way that you, I'm lucky not to have struggled with mental health, that's not so say I have had bad things happen in my life that were tough and that changed me in some way but the core person of who I am will never change. I've made mistakes too, everyone has. But I take comfort that whatever mistakes I made were for the right reasons, failure or success hurting anyone else or myself was never the goal. As I said some people are unfeeling and feel no guilt or responsibility for the choices they make. Taking responsibility is a good thing because it forges you into someone who tries to be better tomorrow. I know it's easier said than done but try not to let that feeling of responsibility manifest as guilt. I'd still rarther do the wrong thing for the right reason because doing the right thing for the wrong reason seems more like blind luck than a moral choice. Almost 6 years ago I got diagnosed with Cancer, it was aggressive but was also caught early. My surgery and chemo went well, I had supportive family, friends and employer. There were tough days to but I tried as best I could to take the positives. I'm not sure if this can equate to how you are feeling, but there was a brief, but important, moment for me. I lost my hair with my Chemo, I have hereditary baldness anyway so it wasn't a big deal. I saw myself in the mirror while washing my hands or brushing my teeth and I was fine. I'd been back to work a couple of weeks as well and been open with people about my cancer, which was really important to my mental well-being. Anyway, I'd been in public with my bald head I was comfortable with that, I went to the cinema and watched Captain Marvel, I went to the bathroom before driving home. I went to wash my hands and when I turned I saw a stranger in front of me, it only took a split second to realise that the person in front of me was my own reflection. I LITERALLY didn't recognise myself despite looking at that same reflection for 3-4 weeks. Although I wouldn't describe it as upsetting, it was very unsettling. Part of getting my head around that and probably the tough things I'd been through before was having a small but important circle of friends. Whether instinct or whether I was choosing who to go to for comfort or advice, I picked the right people for the right problem. I didn't burden the same person with all my issues. Burden is such an unfortunate word, helping people comes with it responsibilities but it comes with the moral rewards too. It's always hard to see that at the time. There are common elements to advice towards mental health but people are so unique and it's important to fine tune that advice for YOU. Although analytical content and content with a professional edge is enjoyable. I also follow people like you because they are open about how important feelings are. Since joining I've enjoyed you content, one which sticks in my mind is your one about Spiderman 3 : Forgiveness. It showed great points about the writing but the reason it was so good was how those concepts and feelings were so pertinent to real life. Best wishes and some love. Cool analysis of AC Cloud

I love this movie and hope Square re-releases it after part 3 with updated voice acting and graphics.

I am just wondering that if cloud really has let it go. At the very end of the movie we can see that more than half of his desk is filled with photos of yellow flower fields. And if you watched the original 2005 AC, he was stilling driving and search for Aerith and wishing to see her looking back in one of the fields. For me, it seems like he has became even more eager to search for Aerith after the AC story, since she made another miracle and saved him from death again.

It always bothered me when people say "Advent Children ruined Cloud!" or even ruined FF7 when it really didn't do either at all. It doesn't even ruin the ambiguous ending scene of FF7 on whether humanity survived or not, especially since it's still the intro to the film. I think the problem most audiences of entertainment suffer from is that they have a one-track mindset when it comes to judging the products they consume and judge the entirety of that product based on that mindset. It's easy to say that Cloud is emo or edgy in Advent Children without actually considering what the man is going through in this film as well as what he already went through in the original story of FF7. What made people think Cloud was going to be all hunky dory after FF7 in the first place? People say the same thing of Lightning in Final Fantasy XIII or Mikasa Ackerman in Attack on Titan when both of these characters had to grow up fast in harsh and cruel worlds in order to protect the people they care about. Good character writing is NOT about making characters appealable to their audiences, it's about making them understandable within the contexts of the situations they're put into in relation to their archetypes and previous experiences, and I think that's something a lot of people having forgotten when critiquing characters. Just because a character isn't the way you want them to be, doesn't mean they're bad.

This is the best analysis of the movie in terms of content But i have to complain about film editing. Firstly i have difficulty to understand what you saying. Suppose you speech is too quiet, and music is too loud, try add subtitles. Secondly I think that you unnecessarily pause speeching and playing the movie with sound, personally feel thrown out of pace. Someone who watched know excellent what they saying and guess most of watchers know. If someone hasn't watched yet then will watch entire movie if you interested him enough. Ofc this is only my subjective oponion, besides that I liked you video because love AC and before had much difficulty explaining someone why is the punchline of this film and you done it brilliant.

Wow, awesome video. I'm a lifelong FF fan, but just making my way into the famous 7 cause these remakes look cool so good a time as any. That said, I'm 35 hours into the original game, and I am hip to how it ends generally just from listening to stuff about it. That said, I watched Advent Children just last night, and fucking adored it with all my heart. And that's how I found this video. Sorry for essay, but what I mean to convey is thanking you for this video. It's a very thoughtful follow up to a film I enjoyed greatly. I'll definitely sub in for sure.
