  • Should you and when Is a good time for your “B Race”
    This week's Brew with the Coaches question comes from Welsh Bird now she is tapering for a 130-kilometre ultra with almost 10,000 meters of elevation. Is it sensible to put in a preparation race three weeks before the race or is it too close? The preparation race is over two days each day has a Marathon distance with 2 500 meters of climbing. I entered thinking it would be a perfect last weekend of long runs but do you think it's a teeny bit close to the actual race. I generally run about 80 to 100K a week in the mountains so get plenty of elevation and I think I recover pretty quickly too.
