Very nice lookin dirt, I think I saw 3 or 4 rocks, which is unacceptable, get out there and get them stones boys! Just kidding, I love hearing those 2 cylinder John Deere's! "Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌👍🇺🇸
NICE , NICE DIRT !!!!! Connecting both out furrows is called a dead furrow . Connecting both in furrows is called a back furrow , in the old country !!!!!
I just acquired my 1951 John Deere B. My hydraulic lift does not work. I will have to look at it and see about rebuilding that part of the tractor. I live in Enoch by Cedar City, Utah, and someday would love to try going up there and checking you guys out.
That's cool. Yeah, Enoch isn't too far. Probably 4.5 hours or so? If you're ever coming up, North, email me and if it works out it's be fun to show you our stuff. magnetojoes@gmail.com
I wish it lasted days. But here we only plow for about 6 hours, or so. A few guys in our club have dairy farms and so we plow one of their fields. It'd be fun to go to a plow day that lasted a lot longer.
They are very different. An AR is a "Regular" (sometimes called a Standard out a Wheatland) model A. So it's the same gasoline engine you find in a row crop John Deere A. The R is a diesel engine. It's the first diesel JD made actually. It's much larger than an AR... Probably nearly twice as heavy. And has around 50 HP where the AR has around 34.
Yep we had an AR when I was a kid and we had hills and heavy clay and that tractor pulled 3 furrow all day long, they were(all of the 2 poppers) soo much torque but so well balanced ( some were not crazy heavy))but superb balance

Yeah, we were really pleased with how well it did.

How many days does plow day last?

@@jonelsonster Okay, thanks👍
What is the difference between a AR and a R??

@@jonelsonster my Dad had a R when I was in highschool. I didn't know what the specs were for the AR. Thank you.
Where did the 4 wheel drive come from? Your dad was the only tractor that run the speed we plowed with 2 cylinders.
I think he bought that from a neighbor here in the valley.
That AR could pull a 3 bottom plow
My Uncle pulled 3-14's in 3rd gear.
Yeah, it probably could. It's a strong tractor.

A very serious discussion of Minneapolis Moline is required here!
I know very little about MM, so you'll need to help me out.
Very ez plowing 👨🌾
Sandy soil in this area
Only ONE good green tractor in the bunch.
They're all pretty good in my book
Mat , " You can ALWAYS tell a great farmer by his GREEN TRACTORS WITH YELLOW WHEELS " , PERIOD !!!!!
