Hello again … I have posted reference figure of measuring bowl height and vertical shaft height in my COMMUNITY. You can easily find it on top of my channel. Use stick steel ruler and depth gauge to measure bowl height as per figure. Don’t forget to subtract height of steel ruler from measurement result to get actual value. If bowl height is out of limit, check again vertical shaft height. Check and renew the bowl bush if vertical shaft height is within limit. If vertical shaft height is out of limit, check the conditions of parts inside gear case, such as bearing, lower spring for vertical shaft, steel ball and spring seat inside low bearing housing. 😊
The most common bearings used to support a vertical shaft are ball bearings, roller bearings, and sleeve bearings. The type of bearing used depends on the load requirements and application. For example, taper roller bearings are the best for heavy axial loads, while deep Grove ball bearings can take light axial loads. (Please search in Google. Most answers can be easily found.)
sir, i have 2 question that giving me too much trouble finding my answer, i wish you may help pls. 1) lets pretend my purifier vertical shaft bearing is getting damaged within few days of running over and over again. i am changing the bearing, but again its getting damaged. what could be the reason?
Hi - Vertical Shaft has 2 Bearings, the upper one which is inside the bearing housing and the lower one, at the bottom. If your bearing is the upper one, check the condition of springs inside the bearing housing and measure the free length. When you fitted the lower bearing, pay attention the direction of load. If direction of bearing was wrong in fitting, it will shorten the life of your lower bearing. I thought problem of your bearing may be lower one and the root cause of shorten life of that bearing may be fitting in opposite direction of bearing according to load. Be safe and smooth operation !!! 😊
